James, funny you should mention it. I too have a Gamo, .177 Shadow 1000, that I've had since the '90's. It was $69.99 on a Walmart closeout. It buzzes and twangs, but after several thousand cycles it's still shooting good. It is very consistent over the chronograph. I would plink cans while my kids shot their Red Ryders and CO2 guns. It's a cheap gun to shoot. I've given it a few drops of silicone chamber oil over the years. It has held up well. Recently I have bought the Gamo Swarm Evo Gem3i in .22. What a great gun! The 10 shot mag has worked flawlessly so far. It's stiff to cock, but no too bad. I think it shoots a 14.3gr pellet at 700fps and is accurate enough. I've been impressed with it. It's not a PCP, but it shoots well and doesn't need a source of compressed air. I do wonder how long the gas ram will last? That being said, the Gamo customer support has been really really good! If you're thinking about a Gamo IGT gas ram gun, buy it. I bought directly from Gamo using their sale promotions to save money. There have been free shipping and discount codes too. I am most disappointed that Gamo deleted the iron sights on the Evo and Viper.
Old school !! I like it. I'm definitely looking forward to pulling out my brake barrels when the weather gets better. I'm getting a little. Sloppy With my fundamentals.😂😂😂
Lol to the point Timmy. I had break barrels when I was younger and then i picked up my sons break barrel one day got to shooting watching a few tube videos lol now here I am waiting for my 5th pcp rifle the mail lol geezzzz😅😎

Id be curious to compare the quality of the internal parts from back then!
_The Gamo pistons are very rough looking even compared to a B2_
