One little question for you or ask for opinion since you have experience with unreal engine. With all those advancements in TM and more to come, is it worthed to spend time and learn Unreal engine anymore? Having the scope on architecture.
At this point, I would say that if you spend most of your time in production of projects opposed to design then there really is no reason to learn unreal. That said, it will always help knowing some of unreal as it’s so powerful.
that depends. Twinmotion is best for quick conceptuals or when marketing comes busting down doors looking to get an ad campaign out by the end of the week. If you have a little more time available for the media exports, go with UE.
So I have TM when it was free, linked to my epic account. What is happening with my license, am I just going to lose it? It sucks how expensive software is, like Bluebeam. $600 for the top version then $150 per year additional If you want to keep it up to date vs waiting a few years and paying another $450 to upgrade. Auto desk aec collection is over 3k/year, but it includes a lot and well revit. Worth it imo
I get what you're saying! You might be the first person to agree with the price of the AEC collection haha. But as for TM, I would say that I also had the free version from 2019 and honestly nothing has changed for me. It is hard to tell which "version" of the software I have. I say that because I still am able to export at beyond 2K, so that tells me it is not considered the trial version. I bet this will be tied up soon. I will say that it is nice that you can decide to not pay for a year or two and still have access to what you paid for.
it is perpetual in that you pay for that one year and get whatever upgrades come within that year. Just no more upgrades after that. So if you paid for say, a 2021 seat halfway through the year, you'd get 2022 and maybe an update or hotfix or 2 also. But then those would be all you get until you purchase again. It is the classic definition of perpetual.
I see what you're saying! My interpretation thinking from the past where you would buy a CD with software and there would be no real updates. To me, that is perpetual. Regardless, you are right in that you get the year of updates you buy, which I think is still a pretty good deal these days.
Hello! I am using TM since 2019, when it was free, now i am working with 2022.1 for some things like private houses orders rendering. Is this will be considered as commercial use?
Hey, thanks for watching and for using TM, I love it! I am not the end all be all person to ask that question but unless they state some sort of dollar amount received, then receiving any sort of compensation for a service where you use TM would be "commercial use" but I could be wrong. That is my opinion.
just started watching your content as I began to try TM. Very informative. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Awesome, thank you!
Honest and down to earth review. Great content. Many thanks.

If you bought the commercial license then you get 12m of updates. After that you can keep using it "as is". Refer to the video at 5:00

Well said, thanks you're right!

yes
What about D5 render? Similar GUI as TM. Biggest drawback for me is that it wants Nvidia RTX GPU or it won't even start. Priced at $360/m.
I’ve considered D5 but for what it is, it’s almost too stand alone and doesn’t not quite reach the heights/potential as TM and unreal do.
Thank you a lot!
You’re welcome!!
