barbados ... being there is a beautiful thing, it brings truth , humbleness, such a beautiful place.... beautiful people, very intelligent, I will visit again, fell in love with this place
Thanks for this video. I'm an Amateur Radio operator here in Australia & just minutes ago spoke for about 30 mins to an Amateur Operator located in Bridgetown, Barbados. So I was interested to see where I was talking to. Looks like a very exciting place. He was saying how the weather there has been a bit too hot lately! I'll have to add Bridgetown onto my list of "Places to try and get to"!
Hey boss you know what would be nice? If you recorded some footage of a sunset on a westcoast beach with the palms swaying and the whistling frogs chirping.
I love Barbados, such an amazing place. I spent 10days there and made some local friends and had a blast. As far as racism goes, the white american tourists who think they can order everyone around like servants are more the racist ones (i can say that do to the fact i am a white american). Everything is in "island time" haha 1 american minute is equal to like 30 barbados minutes, so don't expect anything to get done too hastily. Its so beautiful there, a piece of my heart is there.
UA-cam is a place where you expect to see a lot of idiots having arguments, but watching these nice clips from Barbados, and people just generally dancing, being happy and enjoying their life... There is STILL people who want to have an argument.. Literally, what could there be to argue about haha
@pole450 so are there a lot of rich black pople in Barbados. ? Im from Panama but my family came from Barbados to finish building the canal Of Panama, an Im considering moving to Barbados, or passing some time there in the rugular basis, and I just want to know what type of place Its.
@chiflamico you can rent a room in a house for $20 - $30US if you know what you are doing.I've seen self contained appartments in guest houses for $50US (bajan flamingo house) It was very nice, came with a 3 piece bathroom, a kitchenette with everything but an oven, two beds, cable tv, a porch, I think AC was an extra $5US/night. It was clean, and on a quiet street, but a 10 minute walk from a beautiful active beach, and a 15 minute walk from a main clubbing district.
Yes it is, but there is a part called Swan Street where a few bags have been snatched since some thugs walk through there. But i go there almost every Saturday and it's pretty safe. No kidnappings or anything like that happen in barbados, it is a peaceful island
hahahahahaha. I'm half bajan and half american, but i don't see how you could possible get bored when there are at least 5 major parties going on a day
@CheeszeBallsz Wao the place looks really nice, are there a lot of rich black people in Barbados, and is black people in Barbados free or at least feel free, Im of Bajan descent from my mother side.
It isn't a deserted island y'know. I live here. They are plenty of supermarkets and mini marts. We are the most developed Caribbean country, just so you know.
I've been to Barbados before but never went to Bridgetown. Is Bridgetown safe when compared with the rest of Barbados? I found it to be a very safe island but never went downtown.
Don't take this the wrong way and please no offense, but i work with a friend that was born and raised in Barbado. I don't know exactly any places of Babado, but what he mention he is from was a bunch of people that loves to fight alot.
It absolutely is not! Depending on what you want to buy. Like if you go into Holetown to a place named Limegrove, you would find expensive clothing etc because most of the stores are american so the prices are doubled. but in town, you will find many things for reasonable prices.
@TheWackyBird i am white and i am from Barbados you will absolutely be welcomed in Barbados as a white person. Racism is hard to avoid anywhere you go and it certainly exists in Barbados however that doesn't stop the thousands of white tourists who visit every year. people are generally friendly. As a tourist you shouldnt have any problems especially seeing as our economy depends so much on tourism people are very friendly to tourists. racism usually goes both ways anywhere you go
@beautifulgooal I dont know, I was trying to ask, are black people in Barbados free from colonial mentality? That was my question, but I guess I missed the last part, Did you really need to answer me that way? maybe you should have asked me, what I was talking about? or in which way was I referring to "free".
Have you been all over Trinidad? Have you spent a few days really travelling all over Trinidad. If you land in POS, unfortunately the slums are on the East of the city and are there for everyone to see. Once you leave that area, the shanties are goine. It is also stupid to say that for its population it is not as developed as it ought to be. This would go for every large country in this world. A place is not developed by the amount of people that lives there.. Stupid reply.
So would it make sense to build a 10 story mall which takes up hundreds of acres of land for a population of 1000 people? no. Does it make sense building a 2 story hospital on a few hundred square feet of land for a city with 1 million people? no. It makes no sense over developing a place if few people are going to utilize whatever has been developed and it would not make sense to not develop a place to the extent to which it can meet the needs of a larger community. Your last point is stupid.
How many of the Caribbean islands have you been to? Barbados is surely not the most developed island in the Caribbean. You better start spending some money on travel to some of the other islands. Trinidad is way ahead than Barbados could ever be. Why not take a trip down there and go all over the island. You will have to spend about a week to do this properly and then come back and let me know what you think.
Oh that is what you meant I. C. Ha ha, Mr maxx Your first statement is typical guyanese sarcasm unfortunately for U. I understood your subtext. Barbados is in the tourism business so what do you expect to see in Bim. Stop looking at the color of the visitors to the island.... Your second statement proves My point.
Umm Trinidad is not that developed fyi. It had a terrible problem with shanty towns and such. I've been to most Caribbean countries so I would know. In comparison to its population T&T is not as developed as it ought to be, when you compare it to Barbados. I'd have you know that in 2009 Barbados ranked 37th in the Human Development Index.
@TheWackyBird Oh hush up, that's so stereotypical, you are not hated by blacks in America...Yes you are welcome in Barbados because we're used to the tourists and such. You'll be fine.
Mr Bryanmaxx I guess you had to prove Mangoback right you're A guyanese. Yes we have white bajans, but unlike Guyanese, trini's, and Jamaicans we believe in content of character rather than color of skin. White Bajans are some of the most open minded people in the world, but I guess you wouldn't know that you only see color. The character of many Guy's J,cans Trinis stinks. This is A Bajan Vid:an you on it making negative com's about Bim:
I read this blog and it appears that you are not very well read or travelled. What a stupid question. Why not do some reading on the Internet if you do not have access to the books on the island. Please don't sound like if you live on a remote island in the world.
Ew instead of looking at women who may have STDs, why dont you go and stay at a nice hotel instead and enjoy the beaches? Go on an insland safari or on the submarine. Go ziplining etc. There is soo much to do!
Wow, I Iove Barbados it's so beautiful country. ❤🇧🇧💕💖

It absolutely is not! Depending on what you want to buy. Like if you go into Holetown to a place named Limegrove, you would find expensive clothing etc because most of the stores are american so the prices are doubled. but in town, you will find many things for reasonable prices.

You were obviously adulting then because Barbados 🇧🇧 is a child's dream!
A street totally closed off to cars, still a rather foreign concept here in the states...

It would be interesting to know what made you come up with this idea. It is so wrong.

Sigh really? Please use your pseudo'Jamaican' patois in the right context.
I have been to other Caribbean islands that are much more beautiful than Barbados
in every respect. Sorry, but that's my opinion.
@TheWackyBird huh? oh yes America is weird you guys love to argue over small issues, You would be cool no one here cares about race
