Recommendation from a quadriplegic who has gone through similar situations: get different people for each task. Hire 1 part-time caregiver to help you in the morning. Hire 1 part-time caregiver to help you at night. Maybe pay them to be on call in the middle of the night. Hire a cleaning person to come in once or twice a week. Hire a nanny. Hire a part-time video editor/camera operator. Hire a chef to cook with Shane once or twice a week. I have 7 people who help me with all sorts of things. Long-term, you don't want 1 person doing everything (even a spouse).
Yes, absolutely! I am a care giver and have been for years and I can absolutely agree that it gets to be overwhelming for one person. I love that you mentioned this.
If I can say, for my son (who has more care needs than Shane), we found our best (outside of family) caregivers at our local nursing program. We had to fill out papers because they were able to get OJT (on the job) training in the "nursing field) credits for the work they were doing, as well as we were perfectly fine with them being able to study while they're working. So much of the time is just making sure my son's getting the things he wants, his toileting needs are met, his feeding is done...those such things. Shockingly, he actually enjoyed being read to, and didn't care what they were readying. So these students are able to get credits, study time, AND being paid to do it. We just posted the job on a board at our local college. God did we have some great caregivers. They actually taught me a lot about fun things my son could do that I never would have thought of. Many of these folks came to the nursing program because they had family members that they had cared for in their lives, even as kids. It's worth a try.
i just started following this channel. i have cerebral palsy and i live in a multi-disabled household. we hired a caregiver towards the end of last year and it's honestly one of the best life decisions we've made in a while. my caregiver is fantastic beyond words and i'm really grateful to channels like this one that are helping to de-stigmatize disability and caregiving. wishing you both nothing but the best ❤
That’s awesome!! I’m sure it makes life easier ❤. I have MS, though it’s mostly invisible 🫥. My husband takes care of most things, and then we have a house cleaner. I wish I knew how to get a personal assistant for grocery shopping and other errands that my husband and/or young adult kids don’t have time for.
@@youserguide As far as grocery shopping, many areas have services like Instacart and/or Shipt (Your grocery store may have a similar service of their own.) Those services have been life changing for me. There is a fee for the services, but convenience far outweighs the fee involved.
I will be totally shocked if you do NOT get this position filled. Would you be interested in a live-in caregiver? Cause that sounds perfect, plus they would not be worrying about rent/mortgage for a house they don’t live in for 3-6 months or whatever. You all are so cool and just wonderful people that I think this will definitely be filled.
Right!! if i was a young person who wanted to travel and was comfortable with baby and adult care giving I'd sign up in a heartbeat for a gig like this!!
My husband is an in home caregiver and I wish we lived near you because you guys would have excellent banter! People are usually shocked and wary to see a large tattoo covered man with long hair but his clients all end up falling in love with him and seeing him as part of the family.
Omg. Your husband sounds just like my fiancé 😂. He’s a caregiver, w tattoos, and long hair. And same thing w the families he’s worked with. He was even mentioned in the obituary one time for one of his favorite families he ever worked for. This would be an awesome job opportunity for anyone in their line of work.
I am a nurse and very familiar with traveling nurses. Maybe you can find a nurse who isn’t opposed to traveling with you. I had a job taking care of my husband’s boss’s mother. I traveled with them at times. After her death, it morphed into us traveling with their family in the summer for 12 years. They had rental properties where we went, so we were able to take our children. I did everything from nursing care to cooking, to helping with laundry, and childcare. I jumped in and did whatever needed to be done. It was one of the best jobs I ever had.
@@kristin7938 I am allowed to make a suggestion without someone being a know-it-all. Most average people don’t want to do bathroom duty and new mom’s and babies benefit greatly from a trained person familiar with baby’s needs and mom’s needs, including feeding, bathing, cord care, and if things come up such as jaundice, mastitis, and endometritis. These are things nurses are trained to identify and treat.
I had very similar fears when I got a job doing pediatric home care for a young boy. But very quickly his family became my extended family. I did end up traveling with his family on multiple occasions. I would spend nights at their home so they could have a night away. I would help care for their new baby. It was truly amazing. Even now, years after their sweet sweet boy passed away, we are still close. I continue to consider them family. It was truly the absolute best job ever. You can and will find the right person!
Live in care and house management is totally a thing. My sister did it for a family in Chicago for 4 years and traveled internationally extensively during that time. I think you guys are amazing and hope you find someone great!!
Spouse and I had a nanny who lived in who happened to be a nurse as well! We went through an agency called Cultural Care Au Pair. It was a live in experience and we absolutely loved it. we are still close to our nanny/nurse 18 years later! Also, our baby learned Swedish! My twin sister also used the same agency when she had twins and her babies also learned French and she's now an influencer!! You can have an au pair for up to 24 months. It's a wonderful option if you can find the right candidate!
I can't get enough of the podcast episodes! It's never enough! More squirmy and grubs!! You guys are my comfort people😆 your kid is going to be one lucky ducky ❤️
Shane, its ok. Someone nice will come who makes you feel comfortable. There are people so kind and experienced with caregiving they are 100% comfortable with bodies and it will be no big deal to them, which will make you also feel safe.
I love watching Hannahs face when she looks at Shane as he is about to say something….It’s like she is scared what is going to come out of his mouth…lol
I can relate to it so much lmao there’s literally photos from my wedding where I’m looking at my husband exactly like that during his toast he did towards the end of our reception 💀
Sounds like a perfect job for a retired Nurse like myself. I'm now 60 and living with and caring for my 85 year old Mother who has Alzheimer's. As far as doing personal care for You Shane, it wouldn't phase a Nurse at all. I'm SURE the PERFECT PERSON will come into Your Lives 🙌❤🌟!!! Do a Background Check on the person for sure though. I have very good vibes that it will ALL work out perfectly!!!! Western Upstate New York here 💕
I agree. If I were retired and my youngest were out of college I would do everything they described. I think that's their best bet. Find a newly retired person with caregiving experience.
I worked many years as a licensed home care assistant (HCA) and I would recommend getting many different care givers to help, maybe go through a reputable agency. There are many amazing people out there that will bring their specific talents to care needs you have. Having a pool of amazing care givers opens up a healthier approach than getting just one person. A care team is easier to build than you think. As they say team work makes the dream work!!!
I was a certified nursing assistant for many years, and while I'm on a different career path now, I feel confident that you will find the right person for you. :)
💜🐷💜 I was a reg nursing assistant then hospice aide over 20 years. Having a caregiver with this background is a great advantage. We're trained at transfers, showering, wiping poop etc. I'm sure you'll find the right person to suit your needs.
I'm speaking as someone with cerebral palsy, and I need occasional supports as well. I'm happy to see that Shane is proactive on his journey of having a meaningful life. I I have always had a supportive family, which is wonderful, but I sometimes feel they have offered me a false sense of security for the future. One day parents and/or family members aren't going to be around, or should be expected. In recent years, I have began stepping up to the plate to make sure I can have the lifestyle I want without interruption. Sure, there's always going to be unexpected interruptions, but you want to have the ability of navigating through whatever is presented.
Wishing you the best with your search for a caregiver! Really do encourage you to put out your job announcement to your online community - I would bet there’s someone who is in just that position to do everything you’ve mentioned. Good luck! ❤
As somebody who just lost my main caregiver of 3 years, it's so hard trying to train a new 1. I lost the best caregiver & someone I considered a friend. Hannah it's also going to be hard on you at first because nobody will take care of Shane like you.
I am between carers right now, and I totally hear you Shane! I spent the last 3 years wearing a swimsuit in the bath with my fairly trusted caregiver because I couldn’t even let her help wash me beyond my hair and stuff. It’s horrible because I have PTSD and cannot cope with people seeing me naked outside of very trusted people. Right now my kid is helping me wash my hair. And I hate it because she is just a kid and she should be being rebellious and hanging with friends. Not asking me if I need my hair washed today. But I want you to know, having been on the other side of things when I was healthy, I also know that all I wanted for the people I was caring for was to be comfortable and clean and healthy. It’s VERY stressful having a carer. I think the right person will be very happy to get travel opportunities, and get to hang out with your two (you both seem hilarious, kind, friendly and interesting people) and I would very happily be your golden unicorn if 1) I was in America, and 2) I was physically capable anymore. Have a fantastic time meeting lovely people and making new friends! ❤
I also have a whole list of emotional disorders (paruresis, PTSD, chronic depression, and eating disorders being the main ones) and they have put many limits on what I can do. The good thing is, they all have improved since I retired. I also have started going out to karaoke about 10 years ago and actually get a LOT of support for my singing which makes me feel better (but my comprehension disorders limit how much conversation I have). I now have a physical disorder which may shorten my remaining years of life (and lead to my getting a caregiver down the road) but I'm thankful for the relative peace of these last few years and I'm ready for whatever awaits me!
I wish we lived closer! My husband and I are both nurses and would love this cool opportunity! You guys will definitely find the perfect person, it’s a great opportunity 😊
Much respect to Shane and all those who need caregivers, and to families who entrust their loved one’s well-being to another. I wonder if a live-in caregiver might work out well for Shane and Hannah if the right person is found. Edit: See Daniel Leslie’s suggestion to hire part-time help for specific jobs. He has 7 people working for him.
I’m usually working when this goes up, so it’s a treat to be here early. Had to Google ‘pink eye’. Not a phrase I’d heard of here in the UK. Think we call this conjunctivitis.
I think this is a wise move, getting care in. It’s important I believe for Hannah to be a wife and (hopefully) a mother. Best of luck in getting the right people.
Maybe you need to hire different caregivers for different “tasks?” Healthcare worker to help with Shane, nanny or babysitter to help out with baby, and an occasional dog walker. My daughter,an OT, would have loved a position like this. She also worked in home health care for a year, but is now a traveling OT. Good luck ,hope everything works out for you.💕
Correct, you cannot expect one person to do it all. The room and board does not count because they are rooming in your house for PAY instead of someone else’s house. It is not a dream position no matter what. They basically have to give up there life. Expect to pay extremely well for this.
Shane and hannah you both are going to make amazing parents just go with your instincts people can give you advice but once you have your child or children only you will know what's best for them many blessings for a seasoned parent and grandparent ❤
As a home health nurse I think you’ll be surprised at how many of us are out there that would be completely up for the job! I’m sure you’ll find someone perfect and they won’t be strangers very long!
Oh my word I love Hannah. Shane, trying to convey having someone there in their personal space at night....and Hannah is like, I don't care about that!! What about Lunch?! hehe all about that food, priorities, i love it so much
I just want you both to know how much I look forward to your podcasts, you make me laugh , feel hopeful and see life in a new better way. I am a full time care taker to my husband he has kidney and heart failure and is blind....to laugh about the human experience no matter what it is, is wonderful, from the heart thankyou both!!
I’m thinking that someone would love to get out of Minnesota for 3 months, especially during the winter months. That’s the part that might be more difficult is getting comfortable with a stranger doing the more personal things for Shane.
You 2 are so fun and funny! I live seeing you 2 chat. You're so sweet and likeable. Your future kids will be so lucky to have you as his/ her parents !❤
Honestly, this caregiver gig sounds like a great shift from the NYC grind! If you’re offering housing in Minnesota that would make the moving around lifestyle more feasible for me and maybe others intrigued by this caregiver role. I am one of those New Yorkers that doesn’t drive, dunno if that has any bearing on unicorn status lol.
Hannah, see your doctor. (Retired RN here) Anything that drags on and on needs to be checked out. Allergies comes to mind? Stubborn virus? Low grade bacterial infection? Something I haven't thought of? Time for you to know. Whatever it is the doctor will have good advice for treatment or cure. Why wait to feel better? You will find the perfect assistant. You know what you need. Compatibility the most important! Then experience and of course references and background checks. You're heading into an exciting new season, parenthood. I wish you all the best from Vermont!
I just went through the same thing myself. I had to hire two caregivers to cover seven days a week through the Ohio Waiver program after my mother had done mine my whole life because she couldn’t physically do it anymore so I understand your anxiety and fears, but I believe you will find a person that you like because I did! It took some trial and error but I have two people that I really like their company now! I’m so happy for you guys I know you’re going to be great parents! I hope you feel better soon, Hannah! I’m very jealous about the Disney creators trip! Lol
There are so many types of people who would be a great fit for your position! Empty nesters come to mind, online college students with a tilt toward nursing, nurses who have a 3 day work week, wannabe influencers, wannabe travelers…I’m 100% sure you guys will find the perfect fit in time!
I do believe you both will find an amazing caregiver! They are definitely trained & maybe possibly think about having a nanny for the baby for the first 3 months also - which I imagine you guys won’t be traveling…. If you can handle financially the 2 - do it!! Plus we all get worried about leaving caregivers for others who are not able to let us know what goes on & the trust is just not there - but the two of you have eyes & mouths & if the caregiver doesn’t work out - trust me the one meant to be will be waiting! Good luck! And just appreciate & accept them! And there are many out there that would love to stay around the clock! You both are so selfless! Just remember sometimes you have to just let ‘Marla’ do their thing l! Plus you can get cameras! Good luck! And just make this process FUN!!! ❤
There are a few agencies who hire out people who specifically don’t mind traveling around, they’re considered “traveling nurses”. Maybe that will help you find a caregiver who fits your needs 💕
Careful going through a home health agency. I worked for one and they don't always treat their personnel well. I actually had a client have a stroke in my arms. When I called into the office they acted like nothing tramatic had just happened to me. They had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to go out right then to a another client!😳 REALLY?!
@@xzAllisonxz ....was a nurse for over 35 years...yes we ARE CAREGIVERS!!! I BATHED PATIENTS...Cleaned up incontinence bowel and bladder, vomit...mopped floors...changed linens etc....check yourself....and I am one helluva good cook and excellent with babies to teens....nurses wear many many hats
I love your Junkyard mayhem show! I will pray you find the person who will Be a blessing to your family. You both are an inspiration to others. I actually ran into you two at a Target store in Montgomery AL last year. I had not seen or heard of you. What stood out to me was the fact that you two were laughing together and came across so joyful. I was so surprised to find you and your story here on UA-cam
I’m a traveling nanny with a GF and in school. There are lots of caregivers that do travel. Word of advice make sure to pay mare while traveling so they can eat out and get Ubers etc.
As a newer mom, my son is 1 1/2. I can say if your child isn't a good sleeper just the baby alone can become exhausting in ways you wouldn't have thought of. I definitely recommend a couple if not even a few care givers throughout the day. You will get to know and love them all and you will eventually look forward to your time with each one. Btw as a long time viewer so happy for you both! 🥰 And wishing you both nothing but the best in your new adventure!
From pink eye to sleepy eye to sandpaper, you guys are so fun! For the caregiver: I can only think about one person who can check all your boxes, and can and will go with you on every journey, you know her very well, and if I'm correct, she lives very closeby...? Her name starts with an L.. All those talks about food made want my snack. You both look so good, how can you handle that amount of food 🙂
Listening to your talk about what your looking for and saying no one has that flexibility and skills I’m over here like that. Sounds like my dream job! I’m a full time nanny and have done caregiving in the past this would be the best of both worlds
The illnesses are related to stress spikes which you had related to being stressed due to IVF worries and fears. The stress will eventually go away. But get an antibiotic for your eyes before the entire family gets it.
As someone who was had a caregiver, yes, it will probably be one of the biggest steps you make in your life together and yes, it may take time to find the perfect match. But once you do? It will take SO much stress away from your home life/relationship/parent roles etc. I say go for it! This could be life changing for both of you 😊
This honestly sounds like a dream job. It combines all of the things I love, helping others, travel, and being creative. If I was in the twin cities area and not Wisconsin, I would apply in a heartbeat.
OMGosh I love watching you both! You are a refreshing positive change to the negativity that seems to surround us everyday! I love your chemistry and so much about you both! Hannah, you have such an incredible kindness, caring spirit and obvious love for your husband! Shane, you have an amazingly fast wit, also caring spirit, and it's easy to see your love for Hannah! I think what I like the most is that you are both very positive and don't have to air negative thoughts, emotions or energy to get your point across to others! It frustrates me to hear the negative comments made to you both regarding your marriage! Thank you for educating people on this topic! I do have some questions: Shane, you seem to have a lot of knowledge/experience with computers, have you ever considered going into programming/IT before? Question for both: Were either of you raised in a Christian family? You both seem to have such a high moral standard that shows in each podcast!
Just so you know, it’s wonderful when you talk about your food experiences uses delve deeper into that that’s so part of your whole profile and you all lighten up when you speak about food. Food for thought.
I am a person with no ties! :D I can lift heavy, and would love to travel and take care of everything for you guys. Problem is, I'm in Poland :D I'm sure you will find the perfect match :) Exciting adventures ahead of you! I'm so happy that you're sharing your wonderful journey :*
You both are awesome and I love hearing how your relationship is, and often feel envious of how much time you spend together and how communicative you are. This year I will have been married for 25 years and we are both able bodied. We have separate jobs, two older kids, and aging parents. We have lots of pets, chores, bills and whatever like anybody else. It made me feel a little bit frustrated that as I was listening to the helpful communication tips that I was actually thinking might be useful, they were all being mocked. I wonder if you might have a very different perspective since you are together and communicate so much. I wish it didn’t mean that those ideas for touching base with each other were made to make me feel so stupid.
if you had someone that involved with that much time commitment, then it would probably be a live in position. And live in positions mean traveling with you comes with the gig because they live with you. The person would probably have to be single, not someone with pets unless you were fine having extra pets traveling with you too. It's not an impossible position to fill, it just takes finding someone you mesh with. I was a nanny for a family who owned their own business that required travel. and so they payed for me to come with them on multiple trips so they could deal with business during the day while I took their kids to do things. If I didn't have other plans for my future and a job that i have put alot of work into, I would have done that job full time.
So excited for you guys! Following closely as we will be starting our own journey to parenthood in the a few months. Thank you for normalizing parents with a disability 😊
I’m so glad that you’re thinking about getting someone to help you guys out because once Hannah has a baby and has to care for Shane it would be way too much for her so I wish you both luck❤
You both have big decisions to make in the next year. Working together will bring it all together. I wish you both success in coming to a common solution and reach the required goals. Remember you are a joined partnership and communication is key here. Be level headed in your discussions with one another and try to understand each others view and at the same time remain respectful. As a couple, this is a hard road to climb up but supporting each other will make the upward climb easier. Much love.
Hannah and Shane what you are discusing is the number one issue facing severly physically challenged individuals whether you are married or not. For the wheelchair user we think about every possibble sceneio b/c we can not do most things. on the other hands the enabled indiviual sees it not a big deal a first time mom is very busy. so you may have to hire 3 caregivers 1 days 1 nights and weekends. Hopefully one of those will be able to travel . Residing in two states maybe too much at first, but your goals are excellent. I live in the South where it is warm year around b/c traveling is a complex dance for me. Children are beautiful, and can bring joy.On other the hand, they require alot time and attention. For the interable couple it may mean giving up some of your previous plans. I know b/c I have experienced it , but I have no regreats at all. Just an suggestion get the caregiver issue cleared up first . then become pregnant. it is easier to focus on one major issue at a time. Stay positive, keep searching for the person and never give up.
This isn't much different than hiring a full time nanny who travels with the family to care for children. The adventure will be an attractive opportunity. I wish you the best.
You guys should look into getting a postpartum doula for the first couple of months after the birth. They come at night so you can get some sleep and have lots of experience taking care of moms and babies. After that an international Au Pair might fit what you are looking for.
You most definitely WILL find your golden unicorn ! You are offering a great opportunity for someone to take on a unique role and have an amazing chance to share your lifes. A live-in care giver is definitely the way to go. I'm English and have worked in care in one capacity or another for 30 plus years. I have 'lived in' myself caring for people with disabilities and also caring for babies and children. It's a role myself and my friends feel privileged to be in. Please don't view the position you are offering as a one way street. Of course there is the wage packet at the end of the month...but you are offering SO much more than that ! I understand Hannah's reservations and concerns. It's a worrying time for her and it's especially important that she feels a connection with the person who will have the most intimate knowledge of your life's together. ( Shane ...I know where your minds going right now ....just stop ! 😂) There are those of us out there who are more than capable of sharing your cooking skills, settling a baby, wiping your butt and packing for next week's trip ! You are NOT asking for the impossible ! I have friends who are very happy in that role.😊 You aren't trying to climb a mountain, just a mole hill. Your needs and expectations aren't wildly unrealistic, your needs are your needs and what you need is a multitasker. ( Say THAT after 4 pints ! 🥴) Hannah and Shane. Try not to worry too much. Your person will DEFINITELY be out there . Kind, capable , organised, emotionally intelligent and a good sense of humour should be non negotiable. Stay positive and remember that as well as asking for what seems to be a lot , you are offering a lot in return. Warm regards and the best of luck Jane from England.
I LOVE watching your videos! You have the sweetest interactions, and I think it is so endearing how you both make each other laugh and enjoy each other's company so much. ♥
I have had the pleasure of meeting you both in 2021 and I feel like I would be perfect for the position if I lived nearby(I’m in IL)😕 No kids(don’t want my own but I’m good with kids) or husband anymore, I’m impulsive with adventure and love the idea of going with you to any state, any time, for however long! Also, have dabbled in a bit of caregiving… am I moving to Minnesota? 🤔😂
As a former home healthcare worker, there are some amazing caregivers out there that really care and work with clients. I miss the job but unfortunately my disability got to a point that I couldn't handle caring for other people anymore
You will find a Caregiver and a nanny no problem, you both be great parents, sending my very best to you both on your journey as well as you go through IVF. Be positive. Love the questions at the end! Love you both so much ❤️🤗
30+ year interabled couple here: Please plan for the worst-case, midnight-potty-emergency-while-Hannah-is-incapacitated scenario! It’s not as unlikely as you might imagine! If you can think it up, it can happen!
Also- maybe it’s helpful to think about it as a season! (You talked a bit about this at the end) It doesn’t have to be forever probably ❤ take care of yourselves!
The same thing happened to me few weeks ago. Had strep, pink eye and an ear infection, like you said all things I didn’t think adults got. My husband thought the same thing about “poop” and pink eye, he told me that one of our dogs farted in my face in the middle of the night. 😂 love and wish you both the best! Thank you for sharing your lives with all of us and Hannah I hope you start on the road to recovery soon!
Oh Hannah I feel for you! My entire family caught pink eye back in November. I was 9 months pregnant and it was miserable! Make sure you clean extensively after you are all healed! I thought I did a good job, but then we all caught it again just a few weeks later after our baby was born, and our visitors caught it! It’s not the end of the world, but it’s uncomfortable and it sucks and it’s just soooo contagious! I hope you feel better!
Great advice 👌
Yes, absolutely! I am a care giver and have been for years and I can absolutely agree that it gets to be overwhelming for one person. I love that you mentioned this.
I agree!
Brilliant.
Excellent advice!!!!!!!!
If I wasn't married with five kids, this would be a job I would take. Travel, caregiving, disability advocacy, and baby snuggles? Heck yes.

You two actually have a dream opportunity for someone don't count yourself short.
I second this. It would be a dream come true.
Right!! if i was a young person who wanted to travel and was comfortable with baby and adult care giving I'd sign up in a heartbeat for a gig like this!!
I can't believe they are still running this scam for views and content . unreal they are still going with it. Its all sooo fake
He doesn’t need to pay the money for a nurse, though. Any adult will do. PCA, etc. he can direct his own care and teach whatever he may need.
@@kristin7938 any adult won't do they need someone that is trained to do his needs.
my cousin’s caregivers are truly part of our family. I am hoping that you will feel the same connection with whoever ends up helping you out!
Be so careful there are people out there that are sneaky and just want to be nosy or want to sabotage you guys. Please be careful. ❤️
Hannah has right idea.
Short term caregiver. Long term nanny.
💜💜
(Ps. Get well soon hannah!)
Haha i noticed it also😂😂😂😂theyre both hysterical❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅xxx
I can relate to it so much lmao there’s literally photos from my wedding where I’m looking at my husband exactly like that during his toast he did towards the end of our reception 💀
Yup
Good luck! ❤
You can see why Shane is an author, he can English so good, much word, many wow 😂
😂
😂😂😂
Your English... hmmm 😂
He's also very funny!
😆😁
My sister does this for me! It’s so possible! Make sure you do a background check
"Manifestation of sin", that made me LOL!!!! Shane is so witty. 💕
Good luck ,hope
everything works out for you.💕
Correct, you cannot expect one person to do it all. The room and board does not count because they are rooming in your house for PAY instead of someone else’s house. It is not a dream position no matter what. They basically have to give up there life. Expect to pay extremely well for this.
Agree.they definitely need two different ppl
I love getting to know you both better and I hope you will find someone to help you!
Lol
I'm a grown up human and had pink eye a few years ago also had to cancel a surgery because of it.
Nurses aren't really caregivers though. They do higher level of care. Nurses are not caregivers.
You are both so adorable! You make me happy with your sense of humour! Great parents you will be!
This could be life changing for both of you 😊
Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
I'm thinking of a couple caregiving team would be a nice fit because they might also travel with you to LA or vacations as they are a couple too!
This honestly sounds like a dream job. It combines all of the things I love, helping others, travel, and being creative. If I was in the twin cities area and not Wisconsin, I would apply in a heartbeat.
Shane, you're not alone. I also thought you only get pink eye from poop 😂
Yep. Me too
Teachers get pink eye. This does not take away from the poop theory, but does add to the kids being gross theory.
you guys always upload when i am alone
Traveling with you guys are also a dream job to someone! I'm more than sure you guys are going to have lots and lots of applicants!🙏🏽
Happy 24th episode ⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️ ! Thank you for being awesome people!
Problem is, I'm in Poland :D
I'm sure you will find the perfect match :) Exciting adventures ahead of you!

You guys are golden…and real….and honest…and adults get 😊pink eye…! Fondest wishes from Boston on your baby journey!
Why is Hannah so good at asking those questions? 😂 She would make a great therapist!
Her questions brought out a vulnerable side of Shane which I haven't seen before.
So excited for you guys! Following closely as we will be starting our own journey to parenthood in the a few months. Thank you for normalizing parents with a disability 😊
Who else guessed that food would feature as the first thing Shane named as a highlight?!
I’m so glad that you’re thinking about getting someone to help you guys out because once Hannah has a baby and has to care for Shane it would be way too much for her so I wish you both luck❤
Perhaps ivf meds have lowered her immune system?
I love y’all’s sense of humor!

Much love.
The amount of "farting on pillows pinkeye" jokes my husband has said to our kids is insane, I just relived all of them 😂 thanks

I so look forward to your videos! I hope that you find the best care-giver/helper!
You guys should look into getting a postpartum doula for the first couple of months after the birth. They come at night so you can get some sleep and have lots of experience taking care of moms and babies. After that an international Au Pair might fit what you are looking for.
You guys will find your person!! Especially putting it out like this. My husband and I love you guys we also live in Minnesota ❤️❤️❤️
I think you’ll be surprised at how many will want the job with you two. What Hannah said was basically describing my daughter’s perfect job scenario.
The caretaking discussion was very vulnerable and real. Thanks for having the courage to go there.
When my toddler went to preschool I got pink eye twice and hand-foot-mouth. Those little ones are like breeding grounds.
There are those of us out there who are more than capable of sharing your cooking skills, settling a baby, wiping your butt and packing for next week's trip !
Good morning!! Love seeing you guys and happy to start my day with you ❤
I LOVE watching your videos!
Good afternoon from sunny England. 🇬🇧😎 Love you guys.🫶
Wishing you both well as you begin the search for a caregiver. That is a big deal.
Breathe, take it slow and easy so you make the best choice.
Just like you can have a live in nanny, you can have a live in caregiver.
Hannah I’m sorry you’re not feeling well, I hope you feel better soon. Disney cruises are amazing by the way!
Gosh I would love to apply to be your caregiver. What a dream come true!
Also- maybe it’s helpful to think about it as a season! (You talked a bit about this at the end) It doesn’t have to be forever probably ❤ take care of yourselves!
Sounds like your mom would be the best person to help with the baby and then another caregiver for Shane.
Look at those Easter nails! I love it, Squirmy!
That fart comment! 😅😂
