Almsee Grünau / Almtal - Salzkammergut [4K]

- The Almsee at the Almtal is a mountain lake in the Salzkammergut near the Traunsee in Upper Austria. The lake is under nature protection, so there are no buildings except one on the south shore and is very authentical. There is also a bathing area on the eastern shore of the lake. In the background of the lake are mountains of the Totes Gebirge as the Zwölferkogel.
After two short visits in 2020 the Almsee impressed us so much that this year we had to explore it more and got to see the wonderful sunrise too. We also took a close look at the boathouse on the east bank (which, however, cannot be reached from land).
