Yah- i saw him in concert and he just stands there holding that mic stand. No real between song banter with the crowd either, but he sticks around to talk with fans. He's great!!
I'm convinced that Jim Morrison was one of his idols early on since Jim always held that mic stand! Lol

I got into him to late. Did catch him play at the patio of The Gene Autry Museum. I was sitting on the ledge of a flower bed about five feet from him through what was a great show in Griffith Park in Los Angeles. It was The Blues Funeral tour.

Funny fact: This was originally written on a drum machine, a TR808. It was then adapted to live drums and quite well executed, I must say.
