One picky suggestion from an old lady-in reference to the men’s blue sweater vest-you are looking at the “pattern” of the knitted vest, not the “print.” This usually applies to woven and knitted pieces-think of plain fabric in a factory going through a machine getting the “print” painted or added on top of the fabric. Compare that to a sweater that has a pattern made up of different stitches and yarns or a quality woven wool where again the “pattern” is made by the stitch or yarn. Compare a woven shirt the says “yarn dyed” to a shirt with a printed pattern. The manufacturer is telling you the “yarn dyed” shirt fabric is of higher quality-the yarn is dyed before weaving-so the pattern in integral to the fabric-compared to “printed” which is added on top of the fabric. Both have their place, but I thought I would share what I know. I don’t know anything about sell through rates!!! Thank you for your excellent videos!!!
Woman Within (around here in Southeast Michigan) is sold as Kohl's but is also a Catalog brand (as well as an online presence). Nice to know that it can sell (for the factor stacking). I have been seeing it more and more at my local stores, and have been thinking about testing the waters with it again - having sold it in the past, but only getting from family members new.
I just sold an Alberto Makali jacket two weeks ago, was snakeskin with fringe. Great sales this week and love to see you selling those brands that most of us would pass on.
So far started great then new fee structure on Poshmark stopped everything for me. Ebay super slow but I dropped my listing under 1000 plus I am trying some different promote styles and just made some drastic changes to allow myself more cohesive. I don't want more then 1000 in my store as a part time reseller.
I’ve only been selling since June. I’m doing 8 listings a day for about a month… I get 1 sale a day maybe 2 tops. But I refuse to increase the listing amount until I see more sales.
For whatever reason … my posh sales went up with the fee structure! Will see what happens when it reverts back to previous. eBay sales are steady. This is my first october but haven’t noticed any significant change. I thinking things will start increasing in November after the election. We will all need retail therapy!!!
I feel like I must be doing something wrong. I had my first $1500 sales month ($800 profit)in July and it’s been steadily dropping since then. I haven’t changed anything expect sourcing more winter instead of summer. I was expecting Q4 to be much better not much worse.
I saw the same behavior too a year ago! July was great with sales around $1,500 and then after that just plummeted to between 750 and 950. I’m at over $925 this month already and hopefully will be well over $1,000 by the 31st. Hang in there and stay consistent, pick up things with good comps, take good pics, price well and sales will come.
Depending on what you sell, your highest months may be different than other sellers. Have you taken a look at your graphs from last year to see what your highest month was?
This Q4 is weird because of economy and election. I have been selling for 5 years and this Q4 is absolutely slower than previous years. People are not spending as much money.

That's my gross sales less the amount I recieved in shipping. It helps me to see what my gross sales are for the items only.

Poshmark just reverted back to their 20% fees.

That's a good strategy. Focusing on refining what your already doing before pressing forward is the best way to create a stable foundation.
