You make the locking mechanism look kek... but in real life, that thing is a real PITA to move. I have stronger hands than most... they definitely do not move the way this video shows. - edit - I made another attempt on all four legs hoping that it was just one... ALL of them were too stiff to unlock by hand. I had to use channel lock pliers to compress the clips far enough to unlock... This is a massive design failure of your engineering team. If you manufacture in a way that requires hand tools to install, you should at least make the clips METAL instead of plastic. This is a real letdown for what appears to otherwise be a nice mounting solution. How did this pass QA?
The other thing is what is the point of all the other beefed up hardware on the rest of the mount and locks etc if only 4mm bolt and a terrible locking mechanism can be disengaged on the damn projector???

@@chiefmounts I’m having the same problem. I need to send my projector in for repair and they said don’t send in other parts. I can’t get the clips off. Even using a clamp and I can’t get the arms off. Otherwise it’s been a great mount.
Now it's very clear why removing the "screw adapters" from the legs is not shown in this video, it simply is impossible without a pair of channellock pliers to get the locking clips to release and even then the clips are easily scratched up (being plastic) trying to do so!! So @Chief I must echo the same concerns about those locking clips! not a great first impression for such a popular brand.

Steve - Take a look at how the legs are attached. This is at the 1:52 point in the video. See how the head of the legs are pulled to engage onto the threaded barrels. To remove the legs, it is just to the opposite process. You squeeze the tabs on the end of the legs and push them into the open position. Then they will release. If you encounter other problems, contact the customer care team at 866-977-3901 for fast assistance.

that guy used his thumbs..... i always have to use pliers to push down on the 2 clips on each side
I believe that is what I had to do to get these off.
This was insane how much trouble these were to get off! They came preinstalled with them on. Why? Not a good first impression of the product.

Going through the Exact problem now. Smfh. Whoever designed these 'locking clips' needs a beat down and a demotion.

The video shows this starting at 3:15. Was there something not working correctly? You might have to remove the set screws shown at 3:45.

Anyone trying to unmount the legs--it's deceiving. You do not need to press the clips all the way in, just a little
not my experience... just mounted this and it required channel locks to get them to release.
