Every year, the VFA replenishes Melbourne's local dams with Monster Rainbow Trout in preparation for the river closure during trout season.
Watch as I take on these Monster Rainbow Trout, completely unprepared and without a net - definitely not my finest hour.

Lures for the big trout, power bait for small fish, mepps green works the best

@@radjx003 got them on soft plastic but the frog pattern hard bodies kill it, you won’t catch the smaller trout that often but pretty much get a big girl every time
