I am just watching your video and oh my gosh I was the lady in the pink scarf right behind your daughter at the sheep shearing! My daughter’s (the redhead and blonde with the super long hair) and I enjoyed chatting with your mom and giggling along with your daughter. We live in Newburgh, what town are you from? So nice to “meet” you. 😊
I have gone to Rhinebeck a few years now and Sunday is a much quieter day. I went with a plan and budget this year and it helped a lot to know what I was shopping for so I didn’t get too distracted. I took lots of pictures of samples, patterns I want to make in the future, both names and yarn so I could look back or shop online in the future. I went to indieuntangled for the first time and it was great, such a nice group of people. I would love to go with other makers in the future, not that I didn’t like taking my girls but I know they were bored.
What a small world, that’s too funny! I grew up just south of Buffalo, so it was a little bit of a drive for us. I hope you had so much fun at the festival!
I had a very similar experience at W&F and Rhinebeck this year on my first visit. I was just wondering at first if that is how Fiber festivals are. We found a local grocery store that had fresh apple cider donuts with no lines. 😜
Looks like a mostly great time. I hope to make it to Rhinebeck someday. Another fiber festival to check out someday is DFW Fiber Fest. It’s an indoor marketplace in Irving, TX. No sheep or other animals, but lots of great yarn and accessories.

Yeah, at first I thought I was just not cut out for fiber festivals 😅 that’s a great apple cider donut hack!! I’m gonna borrow that hack lol
