Great review guys! Daver I'm with you on the opening not being that bad. Back when I first really got into frags going on a year ago I kept putting off trying this because of everything I heard about the opening, but then when I finally tried it I actually liked it. For me, my favorite thing about A*Men is the caramel note so I usually prefer Pure Malt since the caramel is so amped up but I still really enjoy A*Men too.
You guys have given A'men so much love, it hurts!! A*men stunned me the first time I tried it
I am one of the people that love this frag from the opening to the end. I don't know what it is, but I love that initial burst of tar and chocolate. I have to say that I get compliments from whether I just sprayed, or its been on for four hours...
Didn't like it when I first sniffed it back in the old days.
Now it has become kind of my signature scent.

i loved this at first sniff. the first time i ever smelled this was at macy's years ago, i had never heard of it and bought it right on the spot. one of my fav's of all time i still need to check out ice men and sunnessence. great vid bro's

we havent heard of that. it's not uncommon that houses would make reformulations, though. but we're not sure
I have been using this fragrance for a past week it's a really amazing fragrance and it's very unique as to how much it changes as time passes by. Is it ok to spray once on the shirt for better projection?
Just received a sample of Angel Men. That opening is extra strange. Its primal, earthy, medieval, forbidden, dark and alluring at the same time. Thats just the first two minutes. Then it moves to another personality and is very unique, mysterious and quite nice. Great job guys..its a tough one to nail down.

Hey dudes, I love your reviews, I know that this review is a couple years old now but I was hoping to see a Shout Out comparing Angel Men with Cuba Prestige. To me they smell nearly identical but I was curious as to what the Fragrance Brothers think?
I've been wearing this since the early 2000s, and I'm sad to say A*men has been reformulated since this review. The initial burst of coffee bean, tar, and patchouli has been toned down a LOT, and doesn't project as much as it used to. I'm looking at my fairly new clear bottle with blue liquid, and it does NOT smell the same as the older bottles that with the blue-colored glass. I'm thinking of tracking down the older bottles that came in the baby blue box, as opposed to the black boxes they're packaged in now.
I know I'm 11 years late lol, but I have the clone of this...Star Men from Fragrance World. If this smells anything like that, then this is amazing!
Reminds me of chocolate scented pencils I used to buy from the school library (for 50 cents) as a kid. I couldn't stop sniffing those pencils when I was in school. My teacher would yell "Paul! Stop sniffing ur pencil and pay attention!" The first time I smelled this it almost brought tears to my eyes. Memories...

Lately, I've been searching for the best prices and I haven't seen anything close to that! I'm working on a swap right now. Hopefully soon, I will have the 100ml metal flask lined up next to my taste,pm,pc, and ph just like you guys! =)
A*Men was the first thing I smelt early in my journey that really wowed me. I'd smelt fruity frag after fruity frag... And then THIS guy comes along with chocolate & caramel & blows my mind! A*Men will ALWAYS be in my wardrobe.
Seems like this is happening to a number of people. I smelled this for the first time like 2 years ago, I couldn't stand it. I just sprayed this from a sample, and I can't stop smelling it. It's so good to me now. Idk what happened, but I'm not complaining. Now I'm debating whether I should get this or pure malt. I've been meaning to get pure malt for a while now, but now I'm not sure which to get. I really wanna get both, but that'd be pretty expensive. Any recommendations? I'm a senior in high school btw

i didn't like the opening but the heart and basenotes are incredible. So different and its sessy doe. Definitely a try. I need a sample.

I get minty chocolate at the top, and caramel when it dries down. I get no tar or harshness at the top

Please do a shoot out with Amen and Cuba Prestige. I only own the Cuba but have heard they are near identical so I haven't picked up Amen for fear of redundancy. What are your thoughts?
I occasionally wear this when I am missing my man. I have always loved this and Le Male on him.
Love angel men, though i don’t get the tar note like everyone. i almost think the opening smells like limes dark dark overly sweet chocolate, Patchouli and mint, though that's just my nose...lol great reviews guys.

Just to stay up to date with my self I bought A*Men, in fact I bought 2 of them and comparing Cuba Prestige and A*men side by side, Angel men is FAAAARRRRR superior. That's my shoot out.....Yours would have been much more entertaining though.

right now im looking to get a metal flask of amen myself , it grew up on me cuz i was one of those that almost hated it but now is so good , also i got my wife angel cuz she likes this one so i thought she would enjoy angel , hey guys you dont have havane? and the one with tthe red star thats b men right ? oh and what do you think of ice man , i used to own sunessence but didnt really like it

i really hope you see this and reply, but i was just wondering which A*men is the best to buy, I have gotten a sample of the original and idk if i should get another one (i do enjoy the original) but i thought should i get another one or stick with the original and then get the others (if i have enough money) so yeah... in short - which is the best a*men (flanker or not)
+Grant Walker I think Pure Malt is amazing and so is Pure Havane. Those are definitely worth buying. The rest are really good but might not be as essential. I love Pure Wood too. But if you could only get one more, start with Pure Malt. :)
A*men metal flask :) is the King of the TM line about the longevity i get 8 hours but sometimes i get 12 or 16 hours that fragrance playing mind games.

@razscott There's not way A*Men only goes six hours. MUST be olfactory fatigue. Try asking somebody else if they can smell you.
