@@Ponyeta Haha. I'm not! It is really cool since I love 351p 's design. It wont be comfort enough as Arc but horizontal design is really better than plus for me.
Hopefully we'll see this chip end up in the cheaper R36S's. I suspect the frequent chip changes is due to all of the rampant copying. Now that you can get $50.00 handhelds with RockChip 33xx chips for years, a change to the processor should "shake off" or slowdown the clones for a while in theory.
The way I see it, nothing is really lost if you have friends and family you love and want to share the joy of retro gaming with. pass it off to them and get yourself the new hotness, and for me, if I can get to a point where I can play up to PS2 smoothly, I will be just fine and i will never need to get a new one
I expected it to be closer to the RK3266 due to very similar specs. Still, Allwinner does open source firmwares for their chips. At a right price and with a decent build quality, if we get a good cfw, this might become a new V90. Looking forward to it.
This looks like a slightly improved (specs) and more budget friendly version of the RG352M that I have. And I love that. the layout of everything is the same. Remember, it's ideal for retro arcade and consoles. Get a more powerful (and expensive) one for stuff after N64/PS1. I do love my 353M though, and it does everything I want, as would this new console.

As someone who prefers the classic "Stiffer" dpads that feel much closer to Nintendo's these are hands down the best for that. Some might prefer the softer dpads that have smaller hands, but for us big hand people I wish these were standard.
To me this is the sweet spot for handhelds. I do not care for huge new games kind of running on a handheld, I just want some solid games that work well on small screens to kill some time, or to indulge in some nostalgic replays of old games and the price of the device should reflect that reality. This seems like a great option to get a dedicated handheld, so far I just used my phone and a controller.
I hope someone can test it for 4 player gaming attached to the TV with a USB C to usb connector using 4 wired controllers to play SNES NBA Hangtime and 4 player PSX games.
I have the RG405M, but think it’s too delicate for me to carry outdoors too much, wanted something similar that i could use and could take a beating. with this price being over $100 less, this is amazing!
This device looks fantastic! Thumbstick placement looks off to me as you have to reach over them to play the majority of games. They should come up with a push down/pop up style thumbstick design or even if it’s twist to lock down and twist to pop back up.
GREAT setup with all the buttons and ports BUT.... the start and select should have been placed BELOW the analogue sticks to aid in better comfort and control with the face buttons, dir pad and sticks IMO. I want this this but with the rockchip 3588, fingers crossed for 2024.

I wish Anbernic started doing stacked shoulder buttons instead of the inline. I liked their old handhelds such as the bottoms and form factor, but the design is a little stale.
I'm not sure how the H700 SoC in this handheld performs better than the RK3566 in the RG503 as you claim as it has lower spec CPU and GPU cores (A53 Vs A55 and G31 Vs G52 respectively) and lower clock speeds. Do you mean the RK3326 SoC as used in the RG351?
I guess it's not the "mini" horizontal I'm waiting for since my OG pocket go, but it's more mini than others, I'll keep waiting for a mini horizontal 3" screen max size.
The batocera cfw actually provides better performance with psp and n64 Had mine for a few weeks and I gotta say once you get Kokiro going it is unbelievable
I have an RG351MP that I can no longer play due to the back pads leaking glue and said glue getting into the the power button and making stick inside case. While I could open the device myself the screws are a type that I don't have, though I tried. I also ordered a bundle with two SD Cards and while I understand that they wouldn't want to send roms I never got that SD Card. I like this device but I'm worried about biting the bullet and having the back pads leak, the biggest worry, or if they fixed they glue and leaking issues? Still Good Job! :)
So the big question is, do I buy the RG35XX H or the Powkiddy RGB 30? Sure the powkiddy will be more powerful overall, but is the price increase worth it?
I can’t wait for GarlicOS beta. It should turn this from being a good handheld into an AWESOME one. I'm new to emulators but I'm looking at picking one of these up primarily for GBA and SNES games. One question though, if the only Gamecube game I wanted to play was Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, would it run okay? Not well? Not at all? Thank you!
If you can swing the extra $30 then I'd recommend researching the Retroid Pocket 2S. It's got a 3.5 inch 4x3 screen so it's still got the same compact form factor as this RG35XXH and it has a whole lot more power. I don't own one so I can't test if it can run "Paper Mario TYD", however, reviewers have had good luck running a number of PS2 and GameCube games on it.
