crewkid52 when that part happened my character just slowly turned his head and starred into sorobans soul... I'm an au ra so it also looked like I was going to rip his heart out and beat him with it... I was laughing for about 10 min
It's the theme of a young lady, a wanderer out of time. The last survivor of a world devoured by death and darkness. This is her song. Sad, heavy, uncanny; and yet brave and glimmering.
@@noegutierrez8716 even 6 years ago no way you really said that ffxi, a game where 2/3 of zones and instances doesn't even have any music , is better composed.
This theme is played alot in FFXI's Rhapsodies of Vana'diel expansion, and FFXI's OST always have the feels for every zone you enter. nice to see it in FFXIV.
I remember Mizuta (the main composer for the bgms for FFXI) specifically stated that he composed the themes for each zone specific for those zones, It's why Rolanberry Fields sound the way it does compared to Sauromugue Champaign and its totally different from Zitah.

So if this place exists in XIV's timeline, Selh'teus still oversees mankind...? Then if that's the case, Hydaelyn is the result of merging all of the crystals into one, giving it sentience-ish-y. Then.. Altana is a god that everyone has forgotten due to lack of faith, Hydaelyn having gained sentience then guides mankind in place of Altana? I've been away from this game for several months and this now exists in the game... I may have to reactivate my main account, ugh. (What was the premise of this place existing in XIV...?)
This place is the sealing place of the dark auspice "Koryu." It is a temple of these auspices as well, which are just really old creatures that have formed full sentience and a sense of humanity, ascending into spirithood so to speak. Once you unlock this place, you can just come back and speak to all of the auspices and check out all their lore.
@@LiquidusSnakeX This is a very cynical way of looking at it. The truth is, the devs love doing callbacks to older games for nostalgia reasons, because they know large portions of its playerbase have played previous FF titles, and love seeing nostalgia, and most streamers I've watched squee with joy when they see callbacks to older games because it brings back all the wonderful memories when it happens.
Soroban: Kami Preserve! A talking turtle!
Tataru: *inhales* boi

This place is incredibly beautiful and calming for me, PERFECT PLACE TO AFK.
This is such a good music, for such a beautiful place, it feels completly different from any other place in the game
MrTenshi thats because it's taken directly from XI, the better composed game :smirk:
Yeah this is the music they use in Reisenjima in FFXI.

Yup this is in FFXI!
This is literally Reisenjima's theme from FFXI. Or more accurately, Iroha's theme which also plays in that zone.
After you complete the quest associated with this place you get the orchestrion roll for it, aptly named "Iroha"
I thought it sounded familier. Couldn't for the life of me place where Id heard it before.
Add-On Rhapsodies of Vana'diel
makes me miss Iroha and Xi.
Tenzen also same appearance and armor, from FFXI.
the rythmic ding .... dong reminds me of FFX temples.
Yes
Yes, thank you! This area is so stunningly gorgeous, and the music is perfect, I needed this theme in my life :D
Master, this is not 'Farewell.'
It is 'See you soon.'
Ooooohhh I really forgot this, track. Extremely soothing. Kinda hoping it shows up in the Echoes of Vanadiel Alliance Raids for Dawntrail.
this reminds me a lil bit from the temple at the start in ff10 where you need to make a camp fire with tidus
This is still my favorite place in game. I randomly come here still to just listen to the music.
This whole bit was a delightful surprise for people who know at least a bit of XI lore.
Why did i expect this to sound like invisible full moon
not enough rabbits
I love you
Take off your ZUNpo and it'll probably pass.

Mekkah you wouldn't happen to have the ominous music of Reisen Temple just before Koryu is unleashed? What's the song's name?
I love this so much!
This song reminds me of Phantom Train and Phantom Forest's music in FFVI
Tataru will never give you the side eye while wearing a kimono :(
y live
Reminds me a lot of the Lavender town theme.
very nice cut off point for looping
Wasn't this music in PotD way before SB even came out?
Rhiannercakes yes. That's because it's originally from Final Fantasy 11. The MMO before 14.
sounds like Clouds Observer from the Little Big Planet OST
Does anyone know the theme that plays when a lord tells there story of tenzen called
Never knew this was from ffxi till I played ffxi
Ugh that jack and daxter vibe
Is the orchestrion roll available for this yet ?
JD Muller yes, you get it after you complete a quest maybe after byakko or just after you done the dungeon and finish the quest.
Hell yes. Your answer made my day.
I have this playing in my house right now really making me want to play FFXI . . . .
JD Muller I resub on ff11 cause nostalgia and wanted too finish my last exp when I quit...and rhapsody of vanadiel.
It's a tricky thing "nostalgia" it makes you spend money XDDD
I don't remember this place. For lv70?
Post-Stormblood Trials.
It's a bit like the Snowcloak theme, but more quiet and a lot creepier.
Well it did originally play in a zone that was home to extremely strong monsters (kinda spooky bamboo forest, too).

The games are not related. FFXIV dev team is just really small and rips what they can from FFXI.

Ripped straight out of FFXI.
Well with The Four Lords AND Tenzen, this whole storyline feels like a big nod to FFXI
FFXI still better, someone message me when XIV adds a trust system like XI has.
they are
July 2nd, Shadowbringers release.
there's trust now
they added one but its terrible
does FFXI have 2b thongs? no? not better
spoooooooky
This is so ff 7
Anyone else notice that this is exactly the same as the overworld theme in minecraft?
No it isn't lmao
