    Translation:
    Le Ciel (french: "The heaven")
    -----------------------------------------------
    yasashii utagoe ni michibikarete...
    -> Accompanied by your tender singing
    nagare ochiru masshiro na namida kaze ni hukare
    -> snow-white tears blow in the wind,
    toki wo kizamu
    -> time opens for us
    boku wo miru kegare o shiranai hitomi wa
    -> You look at me, eyes that knows no guilt
    hate shinaku doko made mo tsudzuku daichi wo utsushi
    -> No end, no limit, you reveal the eternal world
    chiisana yubi de wasureteita boku no namida no ato wo nazoru
    -> with fragile fingers gliding over the trail of my tears
    kimi no hosoku sukitooru koe ga boku wo hanasanai
    -> I will not leave your soft, clear voice
    boku ga koko ni itsudzukeru koto wa dekinai no ni...
    -> although I can not stay in this place
    Ah... koboreochiru namida wa owakare no kotoba
    -> Ah ... the falling tears are words of farewell
    nani mo kikazu,
    -> With nothing to hear
    tada boku no mune ni te wo ate hohoemi wo ukabe
    -> just a hand on my chest and a smile on my face
    kimi no hoo ni kuchidzuke wo...
    -> A kiss on your cheek is called:
    boku wa kimi wo wasurenai
    -> I will never forget you
    motto tsuyoku dakishimete
    -> embrace me once more,
    boku ga sora ni kaeru made
    -> before I return to heaven
    kimi no hosoku sukitooru
    -> I will become your tender, clear voice
    koe ga boku wo hanasanai
    -> do not leave
    motto tsuyoku dakishimete
    -> embrace me once more,
    boku ga kienai you ni...
    -> as if I would not disappear
    boku ga kienai you ni...
    -> as if I would not disappear ...

    one of my fave all time songs

    The keyboard is a backing track. The singer can play piano beautifully and he actually does so in this performance but during songs in which he has to sing he doesn't. Malice Mizer is obsessive over the staging to the point where if they think it's better for the story their lives tell they will do this. If you want to see the singer play the piano you can probably find a video of it on youtube.

    It's basically a song about saying goodbye. It's very pretty.

    Their Guitars are made by the Japanese ESP Custom Shop. :)

    Yeah they are a pretty extreme band. Sometimes they add gothic style, but always try to show malice and misery of humanity. They are also inspired by French romanticism. There is an interesting fact.. Kamijo the Versailles singer was Malice Mizer's roadie before forming his band Lareine.

    The band name is also French. Not "malice MISER" but more like 'mah leese mee ZAIR'. Marisu Mizeru. マリスミゼル or 悪意と悲劇 (malice and misery).

      The whole J-Metal and Visual Kei has been a refreshing treat to me on the channel. Had no idea of this scene before I started this up and now I am hooked.

      Fun fact: Genesis Rhapsodos (from FFVII Crisis Core and related) was actually modelled after and voice acted in some sequences by Gackt (the lead singer here). He also did the ending song (REDEMPTION) for FFVII Dirge of Cerberous.

    I may be biased for hanging out with people who loved this music but i find it uncreative and forced.
    Atleast VK.
    J rock is good tho.
    I still listen to X

      David Henriksson Generally I'd agree, but Malice Mizer is exceptional. Check out 再会の血と薔薇 (Saikai no Chi to Bara). Just listen, don't watch. Or 聖なる時 永遠の祈り (Seinaru Toki Eien no Inori). And ヴェル・エール~空白の瞬間の中で~ /Bel Air Verte Aile. Malice Mizer actually had a few gems.

      visual kei? uncreative?? thats the very opposite of what I'd call it.
      also X started the movement of visual kei... and visual kei is normally jrock...

    • @belhougoldenwind
      @belhougoldenwind 5 років тому +5

      Wtf? How can you say that malice mizer is uncreative? There isn't any other band that sound like them, they are top tier j-rock and one of the most memorable acts of the 90s
