Since the trespasser is story 1 claimed he'd made his own access point for the land, OP and dad should do a perimeter check, find thst point, and block it.

Hats off to OPs father standing his ground against an entitled trespasser (ET) who *thought* he knew the owner but couldn't recall his name as well as for the Cops who set ET straight!!!

Last story. That is exactly why a few days after we married, my wife and I told the entire family that under no circumstances would we babysit/look after their kids at family functions. As my wife so succinctly put it "They are YOUR kids, and your responsibility". Most of the reason for the rule was that family members would expect us to look after their demon spawn with little to no notice.

It's against the law in all 50 states to harass hunters and some states like Louisiana where I'm at you can shoot trespassers on timber land.

I get the not harass someone part but just shoot at someone for crossing land is absurd.
What if someone got lost and than shoot by some psycho because he's "trespassing"

1:00) In the US, there would be making a false police report or lying to the police charge. A felony. I lived in upstate New York, US. We had snowmoblies at all hours. I unloaded a "honeywagon " on the place favored for entry and left. Outcome??

You can fertilise your land however you want, though I would say the better option is to unload a truckload of chicken manure there instead.

The last one was brilliant. Reminds me of what my wife did many years ago, approaching 40 years this year. We just got married the year before and went to a family function and her older sister with children tried the same crap. Iwe were on holiday as I was stationed in Europe at the time and my wife was used to proper strong beer. So the watered down crap here was like flavoured water to her. We both wanted to relax as the previous year was stressful due to training on my end and we just wanted to cut loose a little with those we haven't seen in a while. One of my aunts the prim and proper one told her to act like a lady. Well this aunt is the stuck up kind and only drinks to her classy drinks. My wife had enough of the comments from her and grabbed my holsten strong which was a 7.2 at the time and powered it back like a champ. My wife was a nurse at the time and she just landed here that morning to meet up at the airport as I had to fly home early to deliver a briefing on a incident that happened a few weeks before. She finished work and went straight to the airport and hadn't slept yet. Let's just say she slept well that night.

The start of the hunting story has dichotomy. 112 acres, this would be ~2201 feet square or just over 700 yards. Yet later the hunting camp is set up over a mile back in. Unless the property is Gerrymandered it won’t happen.

You don't have any idea how large 112 acres is, do you? We have 5 acres and it's a weeeee bit more than your figures

@@barbiek3987 try again, you totally missed. I was raised on a farm with two sections. The main part was 800 acres and the smaller portion was 128 acres. I have worked agricultural research for four years. Two summers for the Forest Service, three years for Natural Resources Conservation Service where I helped survey.

In my state, the cops would only inform the lady that I had the right to shoot her should she start acting any more aggressively. Castle doctrine.
