Hey Steve I hope all is well with you and yours, Sometimes it's good to take a break, we will all be here when you decide it's time to make videos again, God bless you all and keep you safe.
My grandson was pouting the holiday candy my wife stocks up on clearance and hides around the house. I didn’t take my grandson long to figure out that the shoeboxes in my closet had bags of candy in them. I think they can smell it like a bloodhound. It was my turn to watch him and we were playing video games. He kept pausing the video game. I was using the time to find cheat code to get better armor and ammo, Eventually I went to use the bathroom there were candy rappers everywhere in the bathroom. I got him to clean up the before my wife got home. I took all the rappers to the outside trash can. He was acting a little weird when his momma came picked him up, she called us around 2 hours later and asked what we fed him to be running around in circles and sliding across the floor. My daughter drove back and dropped him off for the night, apparently he gotten into my DrPepper stash too. We had a great time all night and into the next day playing video games.
Sure been missing you lately but you are always worth the wait my friend. How I missed the previous post is beyond me. How wonderful to have your son in the shop today. Nice fix and tell your customer that Synthetic grease won't dry up and clog the grease ways. Love the stuff. Especially up here where winter is 7 months long. 1956 for this lovely old lady doing what other machines just can't do. I was born in 1956. Makes her 68 this year eh. Great visit and I am headed back to the video before this one. Take care my friend.
Glad you mentioned that there was a slot cut in the bush cause it wouldn’t matter which way it was fitted , but for it to turn in the house it brings new surprises well done Steve
Always enjoy watching your videos! I love it when I get to work with my boys!!! And your granddaughter is so precious!!! I have a one year old great granddaughter. Kennedy boxes are awesome. I have 4 or 5 of them.
One of your better videos. Grand children are so much fun, we should have them first! All seven of mine are grown, or they think they are. They like to come by to see my wife and me to be sure we're doing ok. Won't be long before that cutie will be telling you how the equipment works in the shop!
It is such an adorable baby! No doubt she will be back in the shop. I can see her there in a not too distant future! Great video. Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
Awesome to see you and your son working in the shop together and cool to see your granddaughter! Thanks for the tip about the expanding transfer punches, I bought a set while watching this video.
It's great to see the boy helping in the shop once more. I remember being his age and doing hot work in shoes with low uppers too. Those balls of misery that drop behind the tongue, or down the side will be memorable... eventually. Granddaughter is a heart breaker. Congrates!
Edit didn’t work…and I posted before your Grand Daughters debut. You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful addition to the family. She is perfect!!
Life goes in and on and ups we are grandparents. That is a gift from heaven. You have nice granddaughter. I am a grandfather too, all family members a good life. Greetings from germany.
Ah Steve, it's so nice to see you and Lady 'Lizbeth with your granddaughter! My daughter was about the same age when she discovered she could get a hand-full of beard and, uh, pull!!! Be warned my friend!!! Didn't take long before I was clean-haven... much to my wife's delight.
Great job teaching your son in the shop! I got my love of cars and all things mechanical from helping my Dad work on our cars back before we could afford to pay others to do it. Just make sure you bust his balls to wear eye protection.
My thinking is that with the hole lined up the grease will take the path of least resistance and be less inclined to travel all the way around to the holes on the bottom. I've seen that with way oilers.
Same thouht here. The bushing should be offset between holes so the grease makes its path all the way round, not straight in. It should be ok either way, if lubricated while running.
Thank you for the link on those adjustable center punches. FYI, When shipped to a residential address the total is just over $50. Still a spectacular deal and I ordered a set
Steve… Just got a call from KBC Tools, we ran them out of stock. They’re not sure when they’ll be back in, but we are in this for the long-haul so we can wait…. Thanks for the videos. The granddaughters is beautiful and yes, the boy is growing. Happy to see him in the shop helping you. They grow up way too fast.
This reminds me of my horizontal mill. When I got it from the guy he said while pointing at the zerks.,. "THESE are for OIL ONLY! Do not put grease in there!!!! I had to go through all sorts of hell to get the spindle apart and get all that grease outta there!"
What beautiful grandchild! The ball mill where I worked for over 20 years was somewhat larger. The bottom trunion was lubricated with high-pressure oil. The oil acted as a bearing with the trunion riding on the oil suspension The low pressure oil pump lubricated the top trunion. It's Achilles heel was dirt. The material that ran through it was gritty and lower Ph . If outer seals wore excessively, there were problems for sure.
Hi Steve. Nice to have your son helping you out in the shop. Sometimes it seems that young people don't have a lot of interest in traditional trades, and we need that for the future. I was wondering if you were considering using dutchman's to hold those bushings to the housing. Seems like the setup would have been simpler. Maybe there wasn't enough meat around the perimeter for them?
Thanks for this video and a chance to meet your granddaughter. It was nice to see your son again in your video. Steve, I have a question regarding the thread compound that you described as "never come out" could those allen screws be removed at a later date with lots of torque? How could they be removed. Thread lock compounds are a mystery as to what to use and why (maybe the subject for a future video).
Do you ever have enough wood... I can't believe that is your son. Grand baby now, wow. Neighbors helping neighbors, that was my intentions for my shop...before the fire, and the heart attacks.
Back in the '70s I had a Triumph 650 that I painted the same shade of pink as son's hoodie (frame, tank, whole thing). Totally triggered all my biker friends, and it was a byatch to keep clean, but I liked it. You should get him a nice black "shop hoodie" to keep that nice one clean!
Way back in the 70s I knew this protective coating as "Crosil" or something like that. It also has, or did have then, dissolved oil that leeches out for damp protection.
KBC Tools. I saw you transfer punch set, had to have them! Went to KBC, ordered them up, never gave it a thought until I looked at the shipping price. $22 for shipping a $31 item that could be slipped into a Priority Mail envelope for maybe $5. They won't see me back again.
Can you please provide the name of the rubberized cutter protectant product you use? I appreciate the coatings on my new bits, but once I peel it off for use, these is always the chance of damage in a drawer or rust since I didn't know a re-coating was available. Thanks.
Take it from an old timer. Sometimes (really a lot of the time) when you line up the hole with the zerk. You will only get fresh grease out of the one hole. When the grease goes through the channel it will be forced out several holes. Hope I explained it enough.
Since there was a grease channel in the bushings, will clocking them with the holes not just let the grease go straight through the bushings to only one hole?
Hi Steve love your you tube channels, I would like to ask a question about the expanding transfer punches you have used on your channel are they manufactured in the USA or are they imported from China, reason why I am asking is I am from the UK a small place called Wales like most people that have their own home workshop they have to balance what they buy, now I don't mind paying for quality tools what I do dislike is when your still paying top dollar and end up getting rubbish apologise for being long winded. Best regards Keith Scourse. P.S keep those you tube channels going.
Hope all is well, Steve!
Nice to see you two working together.
Protecting your cutters with coating makes storage nice.
always so good to have a coffee set back and enjoy one of your videos
Hey Steve I hope all is well with you and yours, Sometimes it's good to take a break, we will all be here when you decide it's time to make videos again, God bless you all and keep you safe.
Hey Steve:Saturday mornings aren't the same" What's Going On" we sure miss ya.....Hope to hear from you soon.....
Hope you and your family are doing well. 🇨🇦❤🇺🇸
Working together with your son: priceless.
Congratulations on the absolutely beautiful Granddaughter!
Hi Steve and family. I hope all is well?
Hope you, and the family are well.
The wonderful thing about grandkids, is u get to spoil them to then give them back
Love those granddaughters. I’ve got seven of them. Not a boy in sight.
My grandson was pouting the holiday candy my wife stocks up on clearance and hides around the house. I didn’t take my grandson long to figure out that the shoeboxes in my closet had bags of candy in them. I think they can smell it like a bloodhound. Steve, You're a great guy going.out of your way to help your neighbor out.
Can't believe how grown up he is now. Time flies.
Glad to see you back in the shop. I look forward to Saturday morning.
hi steve, every thing ok with you and the family ?
like your channel/content very much but i was wondering, no weekly video,s anymore ?
cheers ben.
Haven’t heard anything from you hope everything is okay
Great video, Steve. I love seeing your granddaughter, Delilah. What a blessing.
Sure been missing you lately but you are always worth the wait my friend. How I missed the previous post is beyond me. How wonderful to have your son in the shop today. Your granddaughter is precious.
We have 10 grandkids; 3 are granddaughters. Never get tired of having them around.
Delilah is so precious and adorabe. What a gift!

She sure is a cutie!!! And, take it from me...being a grandfather is the pinnacle one's life! Congratulations and blessings!
Indeed!
I hope all is well.my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
One of the few channels that isn’t pushing Anchorlube!!
Thanks!
Beautiful grandbaby!
Son did great.
Thanks Steve.
You know... You could probably start that grandbaby off with a set of Craftsman ignition wrenches.
That old shaper is a nice piece. We had one in the shop at the farm years ago and it was fun to run and we put it to use often.
It's great to see the boy helping in the shop once more. I remember being his age and doing hot work in shoes with low uppers too. Those balls of misery that drop behind the tongue, or down the side will be memorable... eventually.
Granddaughter is a heart breaker. Congrates!
Worked for Kennedy Mfg back in the 80's. Good to see them still being used! Sadly they are now Waterloo I believe.
My Saturday morning just got ten times better, thank you Steve for your splendid content. However, like I tell the boys at work, family first 😽
Dang. Kids got a better beard than I do. And I'm 60!
Props to you Sean, for actually want to learn with your old man.
I find #2 welding glasses work well with a plasma. Dark enough to protect your eyes but light enough to see what you are doing.
Gosh how your son has grown up, when I started watching your channel he was just a little pipsqueak. Loved to see Delilah, beautiful baby. :)
Greasing issues there were caused by lack of maintenance in my opinion. Spaced the interval too long between a relube.
Love the love you give Cora!!
Edit didn’t work…and I posted before your Grand Daughters debut. You are truly blessed to have such a wonderful addition to the family. She is perfect!!
Still missing you my friend.
Life goes in and on and ups we are grandparents. That is a gift from heaven. You have nice granddaughter. I am a grandfather too, all family members a good life. Greetings from germany.
Im about to have "Wheres Steve" T-shirts made up-lol Hope all's OK.
Morning Steve 😆 thanks for sharing 👍
Hi Steve, You could have made those set screws dog points, less chance of the bushings spinning. Nice new addition to the family.
Good to see you as well, I hope you are doing well. The granddaughter already loves pulling my beard 😁. I don't mind at all
Great job teaching your son in the shop! I got my love of cars and all things mechanical from helping my Dad work on our cars back before we could afford to pay others to do it.
Just make sure you bust his balls to wear eye protection.
Grandma and Grand Baby sure have same eyes ❤
My thinking is that with the hole lined up the grease will take the path of least resistance and be less inclined to travel all the way around to the holes on the bottom. I've seen that with way oilers.
Probably be better with two grease zerks, one on each side.
Yeah, shipping is always a bummer. I still believe that's a pretty good deal . A set of those punches will last a lifetime. Thanks for watching.
Steve…
Just got a call from KBC Tools, we ran them out of stock. They’re not sure when they’ll be back in, but we are in this for the long-haul so we can wait….
Thanks for the videos.
The granddaughters is beautiful and yes, the boy is growing. Happy to see him in the shop helping you. They grow up way too fast.
I also ordered these the same day as the vid launched. KBC now says I will have them in July. The power of Steve.
Bet that top didn't stay pink fer long 😂 or the yellow 💛
Love that stuff with your neighbour mate. Dead jell, as we say ❤
This reminds me of my horizontal mill. When I got it from the guy he said while pointing at the zerks.,. "THESE are for OIL ONLY! Do not put grease in there!!!! I had to go through all sorts of hell to get the spindle apart and get all that grease outta there!"
Thanks for the lead on the punch set, I got one ordered. That’s a perfect set as I have a limited amount of space.
Wonderful family brother! I hope to be as blessed as you one day. Great work
Awesome as Always Really enjoyed this one Great content thank you
What beautiful grandchild!
The ball mill where I worked for over 20 years was somewhat larger. The bottom trunion was lubricated with high-pressure oil. The oil acted as a bearing with the trunion riding on the oil suspension

Very interesting jobs in the shop, Sir. Congratulations, grandpa.
Greetings from Shimla, Himalaya 👍
So good to see the family n friends. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing beats a human welding clamp
your neighbor looks more like your older brother than you older brother lol, thank for the vids!
Happy Saturday to you, the Family, and Grits! Great video on a simple subject. Good Job, ys kept it simple! KISS!
Thank you for sharing.👍
Lovely to see you extending family Steve what a beautiful granddaughter.
Another great video by the eway😂❤
Nice work with the bushings. Cool to see your family and that everyone is healthy and happy
Greeting! Now back home in Dorset.
Thank you Steve and family. I always find your content to be positive and today's video was just what I needed.
👍
Great video
Surprise shaper day!
It's good to see that you have an apprentice. Adam Booth needs one in the worst way.
Thanks for the tool tip I’ve ordered a set of transfer punches ,I didn’t know where to purchase a set .
What is that protection stuff? A mix of stuff or a over the counter product?
Very cool cleanup and fixup on the bushings
Keep em coming!!!!
Good content!!!
🧐Or use your center finder to sight parallel to your drill bit...
We're waiting on something new Steve don't keep us waiting
Thanks for this video and a chance to meet your granddaughter. It was nice to see your son again in your video. Steve, I have a question regarding the thread compound that you described as "never come out" could those allen screws be removed at a later date with lots of torque? How could they be removed. Thread lock compounds are a mystery as to what to use and why (maybe the subject for a future video).
Use air tube or garden hose to protect taps, didn't know about rubberised cooker method.
Greeting from Goa! 🤙
Do you ever have enough wood... I can't believe that is your son. Grand baby now, wow. Neighbors helping neighbors, that was my intentions for my shop...before the fire, and the heart attacks.
How's that horizontal DoAll band saw?

Yes Steve, brass or bronze slightly dull the drill.
KBC Tools.
I saw you transfer punch set, had to have them!
Went to KBC, ordered them up, never gave it a thought until I looked at the shipping price.
$22 for shipping a $31 item that could be slipped into a Priority Mail envelope for maybe $5.
They won't see me back again.
Anyone seen steve-? As comment below said I hope all's well !!
Your son's a hell of a lot better than me with the plasma cutter. As soon as I touch mine to metal I go full ouija board with it.
Can you please provide the name of the rubberized cutter protectant product you use? I appreciate the coatings on my new bits, but once I peel it off for use, these is always the chance of damage in a drawer or rust since I didn't know a re-coating was available. Thanks.
Comment for the algorithm!
Your neighbour Steve looks just like the singer Seasick Steve 😂
Take it from an old timer. Sometimes (really a lot of the time) when you line up the hole with the zerk. You will only get fresh grease out of the one hole. When the grease goes through the channel it will be forced out several holes. Hope I explained it enough.
So maybe the bearing did not slip and rotate? Maybe it was intentionally clocked with that off-set?
Since there was a grease channel in the bushings, will clocking them with the holes not just let the grease go straight through the bushings to only one hole?
Today they would cut that spline with an Electro Discharge Machine. Its amazing how accurate they can be. Also very cost effective
is the mini schnauzer ok ?
My power down feed has a preset stop, but its either disabled or stuck, I have to take it apart someday
Someone else sorta brought it up, we’re those zerks supposed to be used with oil instead of grease?
Hi Steve love your you tube channels, I would like to ask a question about the expanding transfer punches you have used on your channel are they manufactured in the USA or are they imported from China, reason why I am asking is I am from the UK a small place called Wales like most people that have their own home workshop they have to balance what they buy, now I don't mind paying for quality tools what I do dislike is when your still paying top dollar and end up getting rubbish apologise for being long winded.
Best regards Keith Scourse.
P.S keep those you tube channels going.
Is this the same "dirt bike" son? Thanks for the video.
