That's exactly what I was going to comment! The game is fun because of friends, of the people you have fun with. That's why I don't like competitive Magic.
I still love this one, no matter how many times I watch it. It has such a nice.... mmm, not sure what to name it, but it's really good feel too it. Especially that part where the power comes back on, and Graham is like 'weeeell, sure I'll keep playing this improv magic stuffs' XD
This actually seems like it would be really fun. The next time my power goes out, I have no cards, my car breaks down, and i actually have friends, I'll try this
Nate the wizard bit was the funniest thing when I was just starting Magic, and knew nothing about the community. Months later, I realized Nate and the wizard was the same character after seeing walking the planes. Twice the enjoyment for 1 joke!
I find it highly dubious that Graham and Kathleen do not have 10,000+ Magic cards and decks lying around their apartment. That being said, this episode got BIG BIG BIG laughs from me, and is one of my favorites (it's a long list).
Quite honestly the entire episode was amazing specially the whole Nate part. They even made their own thing with tokens. Awesome episode and hilarious every moment. Would love to see more like it. All your episodes are awesome but this one is on my top now.
the last time the power went out, I spent my time sleeving my edh decks...all of my edh deck. personally it was the most productive thing I ever done in a black out.
I read this comment and I was trying to remember the ending during the episode and I couldn't. When it arrived I lol'd again so much, I love the confidence with which Cam shows it to Kathleen and her Trying to contain the laughter reaction, plus she looks so cute
I loved the whole Episode, this is what happens when you get a group of friends together and plans fall through, weird shit happens. Also considered Trope or not the Power outage wasn't the joke, it was the set-up to the Jokes nothing wrong with that at all, it's what it is, a classic set-up.
Token draft sounds like it would be fun, and the tip cards changing the rules are pretty cool too. If only they could find a way to get some spells going, i think it could be a pretty fun format
i know i'm pretty late to this video but this was a really great bottle episode! binging through friday nights for the past couple days and this is my favorite episode :) or should i consider another one?
seen this several times since it came out, only today did I realize that the "wizard" and the nonplussed guy who can't tell him what to do... are the same person
Nice semi-sweet moment at the end where Graham chose to play with his friends rather than draft online. One of my fave Friday Night videos.
That's exactly what I was going to comment! The game is fun because of friends, of the people you have fun with. That's why I don't like competitive Magic.
+Paulo Fernandes Roberto you can still have fun with friends playing competitively... i do
@@anstytroll11lol
No matter how many times I look back at this, that little "yeah!" from Cameron will forever be adorable. Leak mana life. XD
03:37 Tap me like one of your French wizards.
thanks for making my freaking day XDDDD
emputtajaFIN
You're welcome.
Brilliant xD
LEAK MANA LIFE.
It had me in fucking tears XD
I never realized that he had to have done the nice font through his own handwriting and with both of his hands (1 left 1 right)
"What is this, mono goat ?" I lol'd xD
Fear the goat!
TomDaxx "I'm still conceding."
Goat format. Used to be tough in yugioh... in Magic.. not so much.
I still love this one, no matter how many times I watch it. It has such a nice.... mmm, not sure what to name it, but it's really good feel too it. Especially that part where the power comes back on, and Graham is like 'weeeell, sure I'll keep playing this improv magic stuffs' XD
I could watch Nate "tap" every day.
Draw me like one of your tapped girls.
I wish I had a crew like this to play Magic with. All alone in the mountains of Colorado...
feel you bro. feel you
Stefan Brenner I don't know what part of Colorado you're in but there's a pretty awesome play group up in Sterling
***** find me on Facebook!
Same but I'm stuck in the Green Mountains of Vermont
Friggin' Israel, in the middle of a damned DESERT
This actually seems like it would be really fun. The next time my power goes out, I have no cards, my car breaks down, and i actually have friends, I'll try this
What may be most disturbing, I don't think the Wizard was wearing anything under his robes.....
Nate the wizard bit was the funniest thing when I was just starting Magic, and knew nothing about the community. Months later, I realized Nate and the wizard was the same character after seeing walking the planes. Twice the enjoyment for 1 joke!
I just realized this after binging this entire series multiple times... how did I never notice this?
Not gonna lie Token Draft seems kinda fun
I have to say I think Cam is my favorite.
Nate's bit had me crying in laughter.
I find it highly dubious that Graham and Kathleen do not have 10,000+ Magic cards and decks lying around their apartment. That being said, this episode got BIG BIG BIG laughs from me, and is one of my favorites (it's a long list).
Honestly I think I'd rather just play with the tokens than to have six people sift through my bulk to find decent cards
...that way of playing actually seemed rather fun. It felt like something I'd done back when I was younger. Creativity blossoms at times like that!
And this is why I always travel with at least 4 decks
Quite honestly the entire episode was amazing specially the whole Nate part. They even made their own thing with tokens. Awesome episode and hilarious every moment. Would love to see more like it. All your episodes are awesome but this one is on my top now.
This is by far my favorite episode. My favorite part is "Zombie Goats?!?!"
“It’s 2014 bro, we’re living in the future”
Oh you sweet summer child
Awesome episode, though I'm surprised that "It's about sending a message" took this long to make an appearance.
JUND LIFE!!!
also still waiting for JUND'EM t-shirts
Noah Daglio yes this is good
JUND LIFE 2014!
WANT T-SHIRTS!!!
Please LRR
OPPA JUNDUM STYLE!
Love every second of it. I don't even play Magic but I can watch Friday Nights over and over again.
the last time the power went out, I spent my time sleeving my edh decks...all of my edh deck. personally it was the most productive thing I ever done in a black out.
This may have been the best episode yet. Nicely done.
Last time the power went out for me I built three standard decks out of my M15 booster box. That was 3 days ago...
One of the better episodes for a long time!
I had watched your other vids but this was the first friday night i saw. coming back now couple years later it's still amazing
this is the best way to end my day lol
btw, Nathan holt and the wizard!!!
“It’s 2014 bro. We livin in the future.” 2019 now
2020 here. Trust me, it doesn't get better.
Lobster Special oh it def doesn’t get better from here
@@ninjask1038 just wait till you find out about 2021
2021.. despite what Lobster says.. it does NOT get better
You saying 2014 isn't in the future?
"I COUNTER THAT SPELL"
“Mono goat” this reminds me of most of my theros beyond death drafts were a good half of the time would be saytr and goat tribal
Best episode for sure
This was an amazing episode. Great job.
At least goat tokens are better than the "Master of Waves" 1/0 tokens who die instantly :D
"It's 2014 bro, we're livin in the future" is a term I didn't think I'd ever hear
Cam’s little “yeah!” And the expression at the end still kill me after all these years
hahah the ending is awesome
I read this comment and I was trying to remember the ending during the episode and I couldn't. When it arrived I lol'd again so much, I love the confidence with which Cam shows it to Kathleen and her Trying to contain the laughter reaction, plus she looks so cute
+AngryMidgetProd I still love the ending scene and it's probably my favourite ever from Friday Nights
I've seen them all (many a time) and this is still one off, of not THE best friday nights.
20 more episodes and im done
Ok this episode is such a good one, man i wish there were more episodes
LRR theme: still the only electro beat I actually enjoy
Source of the music: Sporting News Baseball on Commodore 64 ua-cam.com/video/KUin--A9xHk/v-deo.html
That wizard guy is a really good actor.
I'd honestly like written rules for some of these modes, they look fun.
Great episode!!! 😂😂😂😂
I loved the whole Episode, this is what happens when you get a group of friends together and plans fall through, weird shit happens.
Also considered Trope or not the Power outage wasn't the joke, it was the set-up to the Jokes nothing wrong with that at all, it's what it is, a classic set-up.
its 2014 bro we are living in the future.
I miss 2014
This honestly seems fun.
Great job guys i really like this one.
this format has serious potential at the kitchen table...
No, use toughness! 3/1 Elemental shaman tokens OP! Not to mention 7/1 Zektar shrine Expedition tokens! Breaks the format wide open.
+James Gray Yeah, but you can block with 1/1s since most of those don't have trample.
+Ben Peterson the 7/1 does
This is truly the Calvin Ball of magic.
Still just as great in 2024
Hmmmm... Zombie Goats. Wizards! Write that down! Write that down!
Best episode yet, good job guys. Looks like i'll be a magic nerd till i die, started at age 6. #worthIt
The ending with zombie goats X'D I can't breathe
Huzzah! I have been looking forward to a new one.
Easily one of the most powerful episodes in the series. Rule 0 and friends
Insert "Are you a wizard?" meme here.
"It's not about dealing damage. It's about sending a message."
_Russian _*_Foil_* Stomping Grounds
Friday Nights are the best nights!
“It’s 2014 bro we’re living in the future 😂😂😂 damn
Awesome episode! Now I need to try playing like this....
"What’s the matter James? Afraid?" - Cam Lauder
"It's 2014, bro! We're living in the future!"
snap this has me laughing throw the whole thing... Reminds me of being back in my high school lunch... basement... lol
officially my favorite friday night
well, at least this episode was not bad, you are getting better
The best of all Friday Nights chapters :)
Zombie goats much lol
Favourite Episode!
Best episode hands down. Wtf is this? Mono goat?
I wanted to like this twice, but turns out that de-likes the video. Consequently, I had to like it thrice.
liked because of "tapping" the wizard! :D
Loved this.
That wizard guy had an awesome voice! XD
search Walking the Planes
Finally! A use for the excessive amount of tokens I have accumulated! Too bad I always throw out the ad cards. (Never thought I'd say that. lol)
This is my favorite episode of Friday Nights, its like EDH. It puts "the Gathering" in Magic the Gathering
2 players, 1 deck.
Let the fun begin! :D
"Its about sending as message" 100% true
"It's 20-14 bro! We're living in the future!" Watching this in 2019... does that mean I am the future??
kinda wish they did more with nathan but it was entertaining enough for me.
They appeared in Walk the Planes if you haven't seen it already. If you have, well, they did have other stuff to do at the GP!
yea i know but even then this part was short in comparison.
I love it, but can you guys have a full commander game I already memorised the Friday nights episode. Thanks. Keep you vids awesome!
Yay! love this!!
UNEARTH WAS IN ALARA YOU CASUALS! IT'S UNDYING
(lol)
5:55 - I had forgotten where "Sick Rips" came from. Hopefully we get more when it's safe to film together again.
Token draft sounds like it would be fun, and the tip cards changing the rules are pretty cool too. If only they could find a way to get some spells going, i think it could be a pretty fun format
My current token box is full of Flying/Devour 2 Dragons for my Broodmother deck. All those Goats would come in pretty handy!
What casts for 4 white white and rhymes with smells breath, OH YEAH!
Love that there's a booster box of born of the gods behind them try could've used 😂
i know i'm pretty late to this video but this was a really great bottle episode! binging through friday nights for the past couple days and this is my favorite episode :) or should i consider another one?
JUND LIFE!
MANALEAK *yeah!*
such a sweet moment. love cam when he isnt being completely monotone.
I need more blackouts. Need to get my friends into magic
seen this several times since it came out, only today did I realize that the "wizard" and the nonplussed guy who can't tell him what to do... are the same person
Anyone know when the next ep is coming out? Also have you checked out the spoiler for the latest set its crazy good.
That Moment when James meens its 2014 we are living in the Future but u are watching this video in 2019😆
hahaha i laughed hard at that elspeth open ^^
1:00 Hey! It's that built-in Final Cut Pro filter!
I feel we could make the entirety of all 13 dr who’s. All with just kathleen’s hairstyles
Honestly tho, how long is the walk from the Moonbase to Alex'?
Also, who has power lines above ground?
