Hi shiva, thanks for your very detailed video, now that tes studio have added continuous blind spot monitoring, am interested. I have question; my steering wheel is a regular one not a yoke, will the screen with no vent still be visible through the steering wheel?
Shiva, thanks for the awesome content as always, I ordered this with your code and super excited! Question, does the blind spot warning still work with Carplay on?
Got it and had it running within an hour and totally love this design, thanks again! To those wondering, yes it does do blind spot warning while on Carplay, the far left and right edge will flash orange or red.
A word of caution to people interested in installing this on a North American version of the 2024 Model 3 (Highland). All the install videos for the highland show that the panels below the glove box and the steering wheel come apart by removing clips. This will not work with US/NA versions of the Highland Model 3. Both those locations have knee airbags and the panels are bolted on. These knee airbags are not present in the Asian/EU models (according to Tesla service manual). You will have to disconnect the battery and then remove the bolts and disconnect the airbag harness to remove the panels. There are also issues with the front camera cable routing and firewall access.
After installation, I noticed there is a bug in the settings. The scroll wheel control is still on even when you turn it off. How do we fix this issue? Can the engineer send an OTA update to fix this?
Thanks for being the instrument cluster king, Shiva ! You are my one stop shop for all things instrument cluster. It would be great if somebody would make a cluster that completely turns off when you exit the car (kind of like some of the ambient lighting). My current carplay just randomly connects to my phone even when I am inside the house and I have to manually turn it off. Very annoying. Do you know if this one has that problem as well ?
Appreciate the video. Are you able to control CarPlay from the steering wheel? And also back out of CarPlay to the main instrument cluster only using the steering wheel? Do will you need to physically touch the display?
Hi Shiva, just wondering if the continuous blind spot monitoring would work while using waze on android auto or does continuous blind spot monitoring work only with UI on this display. I have seen your recent video on Teslasy T9- on that display continuous blind spot monitoring works only in UI and not with android auto or apple car play.
wow, that’s amazing news. Thanks for staying on top of that. Another great video. now all we need is to get them to open up the UI to show Waze as example in the fullscreen.
Thanks again Shiva !!! You’re the Best on UA-cam. I did see your install videos on these units a while back. I want to buy the air vent unit. But could put in percentage how much air this unit blocks or allows. I don’t mind some air flow blockage but too much is a deal breaker.
I would say likely 20-30% reduction in airflow. You can play around with the airflow settings to make that number better. Thank you so much for your support.
I purchased this digital dash and I love it. This new blindspot feature uppdate is great! I am still having issues with the battery % stuck at a certain number and never changes. Do you know how to fix this?
Awesome thank you. Yes, for the battery stuck at weird percentage, please press and hold the right scroll wheel button for about 10 seconds and it should go to the correct number. Please respond back if this works for you. Thanks.
@@ShivaSapkota Thanks for the tip I will let you know if it works! Also if you can make a suggestion for them for a future update to possibly add the steering wheel nag reminder while in AP would be great.
If you have the screen with the airflow blocked can you just buy the plastic piece with the airflow vent since the screens are the same? Thanks! Great Videos as always!
Hi shiva, thanks for the update. Am interested in the F88 with no vent. I have a regular steering wheel, not a yoke, is it still visible through the steering wheel?
I also have it and it works great. I would be even better if the front camera would automatically switch on below 20kph/12.5mph. Now it only switches on when you start the car and stops working above 20kph. But when you arrive somewhere and want to park the car it would be handy if the front camera pops up again below that speed.
I keep telling them to add that feature. That was supported with older Hansshow displays where if the car give you an alert (distance to obstacle on the older Teslas and Visual near obstacle on the newer ones), the camera would automatically trigger. I hope they listen and add that feature as I don't think it is very hard. Thanks.
Have you seen a parking sensor kit made specifically for late model Tesla’s, perhaps and ideally, which work with visual aids to one of theses new add on displays, that would be a great feature
F9 only shows red indicator after your engage the turn signal. It doesn't show the continuous blind spot (yellow). F9 is large and comes with everything F88 has but thr F88 has better UI. Thank you!
Yes, this for sure blocks the airflow as demonstrated in my videos but much less compared to other bigger displays. I hope they figure out the airflow better in the future versions. Thank you.
I did that update two days ago, and it is amazing, but the blue flashing light on the top for FSD has gone on the screen, so I am unsure if it is only me or a bug.
@@mazenwattar7790 I am not sure if Tlyard is participating on this update but I would try the OTA. If yours don't show the update, perhaps reach out them with my video and they may also figure it out :)
Another great instrument cluster video, Shiva! Great job as always

Should have come like that from the factory

F9 display needs this update too

why do you need a blindspot monitor when the screen literally shows you if theres a car in your blindspot or not...

Would be interesting to see, hope it looks with the full/big steering wheel.
Do you have a link for instructions on how to use you phone as display? Do you still have to install something?
This product supports that feature. Thanks. ua-cam.com/video/NtYJOKMNUzE/v-deo.html
is there much or any difference in air between both units?
@@gavinlo4785 no they are the same unit except they mount differently. Thank you!
👍
Is the model y 3d render still poor compared to highland?
Yes, looks like a little cartoon car. I have bugged them about that and hopefully we see some improvement. Thanks.

Hi shiva, thanks for the update. Am interested in the F88 with no vent.
I have a regular steering wheel, not a yoke, is it still visible through the steering wheel?
Good morning, is full screen carplay or full screen Android auto an option with this display?
Does any cluster display show the blind spot camera?
Having Waze and the speed behind the wheel is great. I have the old one but it blocks the air
How about FY9 intelligent

Unfortunately not, I am still hopeful someone makes that work. Thank you.

Doesn’t the F9 already do this? What is the differences between the F9 and the F88 with air vent (for Highland)?

Update F9 for this too
The only reason I wouldn’t buy this is because it blocks the vents for AC and heat
