    I feel like he's the wise but particular grandpa you ask for advice from. It comes out simple and obvious, and you walk away thinking 'well, crap, why didn't I think about that?'
    I love it.

    Robert McKee never stops mesmerising and provoking life and the need of the truth in the Story telling! He is never disappointing and his teaching is superb, deep and so provocative. He is one of a kind, truly a Master and a legend.

    If you are able to get your reader/audience to believe the truth of your world, then you are golden.

    Excellent observations and advice. For me I need to connect with my characters truth and core wounds, make it believable/relatable.

    I think when McKee says "truth"...he refers to what philosophers sustain as "meaning" rather than "truth", which is great since storytellers don't really deal with truth (as science, mathematicians or prosecutors do for example) but with the meaning of a story

    If I can stop one heart from breaking,
    I shall not live in vain;
    If I can ease one life the aching,
    Or cool one pain,
    Or help one fainting robin
    Unto his nest again,
    I shall not live in vain. - E. Dickinson
