I have to respectfully disagree here. The devil is in the details, and while Indian brands are indeed making commendable efforts to produce quality gear, they still lag behind in critical areas such as overall quality, comfort, and-most importantly-after-sales support. Despite their progress, they’re not yet at par with international standards. Take helmets, for example. Compare Axor to LS2-you yourself use an LS2 helmet, so you likely understand the difference in build quality, fit, and finish. Similarly, the protectors you mentioned might offer decent protection, but their bulky design and lack of adequate ventilation make them less practical, especially in India’s hot and humid climate. To add to this, none of their jackets meet A or AA certification standards, which is concerning when safety is the top priority. What’s even more frustrating is how some Indian brands lobbied against international brands, ensuring they couldn’t sell their products here unless they set up local manufacturing plants. Without a factory in India, these brands can’t obtain ISI certification, effectively blocking many high-quality products from entering the market. This move may have helped Indian brands reduce competition, but it has ultimately limited riders’ access to superior gear. On the other hand, international brands like Dainese, Spidi, and Alpinestars focus not only on safety but also on comfort and longevity. My uncle, for instance, has been using an RS Taichi touring jacket for over 12 years-it’s still holding up great. Can we point to any Indian brand delivering such durability and reliability? That said, it’s good to see Indian brands like Rynox trying to introduce updated products this year, but there’s still a long way to go. Honest feedback and constructive criticism are necessary for these brands to evolve, innovate, and eventually meet the benchmarks set by international players. Until then, they’ll remain a step behind in terms of delivering gear that truly caters to riders’ needs, especially those looking for top-tier safety, comfort, and reliability.
While your points might be true, you also have to take into account the huge price difference. India is a price sensitive market and no company can be profitable by catering to the very miniscule percentage of people who can afford them. Also motorcycling as a lifestyle has only started in the last decade in India. Rising has been going on for a long time before that but mainstream interest has only started in the last 10 years or so. So the market itself is very nascent. And the international brands have been at it for much much longer. I have personally used international brands and like for like I didn't see any huge difference justifying the price. But as the market grows, so will the quality. I still remember I had the first Rynox jacket and I hated it cos it just looked weird but now Rynox products are fantastic.
Dude, average small size touring bike probably costs between 3-4k USD, while the same costs 6-7k USD in the US. Similarly, people buying something like tenere 700/1250 GSA costs between 10K - 24K USD would definitely have the budget and the sane mind to buy such expensive riding gears! It's never possible to provide the same quality within the 10-20k INR price bracket. Also I might sound ignorant, but please go for alpine stars/Klim/Leatt if you have a huge budget to spend. Everything in India is less, be it the cruising speed limit, be it the cost of bikes etc. It doesn't make much sense honestly. Anyway, cheers!
Yeah exactly, this was a great video if we take the basic Rev'it mesh jacket to their 25k jacket it's no better than viaterra high end jacket I tried them both back to back plus we can get with custom fitting too. Yess our brands have no experience in leather products, helmets and boots. But we still make great products and that too for a new market. But my main grip is with govt for banning boots import knowingly that there are no indian brands to make them plus the useless helmet ratings.
I recently saw bulu bhai promoting the Reise gloves the price is 3.5k and it doesn't have proper protection at all I don't know why they are doing this promotions and marketing of such brands
Thanks for bringing this up, Indian brands are giving tuff compitition on Indian soil and abroad , and that's why foreign brands are scared and spend money on this kind of overrated video and vlogs. Check the quality and fittings and go for good Indian brands and it's 200% safe. Ride safe and responsibly and JAI HIND ❤
Yeah bro. They are selling helmets at 10k with just a DOT and ISI marks slapped on them!! Heck in 2025, an ECE certification is mandatory for any helmet priced above 3k and many brands are doing a fabulous job of giving us ECE 22.05 helmets starting from 3k price range and this so called Indian brand called Tiivra is selling their fibre composite non ECE certified helmet at 10k. At that price point, any LS2 helmet is a no brainer with similar light weight character. Or else MT is also a very reputed brand at that price. I insist everyone not to jump on Tiivra helmets unless they get their helmets ECE certified and that too a 22.06(come on guys its 2025!).
In short. He is talking about Rannvijay Singh who posted something "do you know what is more overhyped than Indian Biking Scene ?? Indian Riding Gears Scene" but later it was found that the ID was fake . But Rannvijay later addressed all the Reply Videos in one of his video.
Why is this so called 'ICON' is an icon of motorcycling? For me Motorcycles and the activity of Motorcycling is the factor. And I would rather look upto Motorsports athletes, True Journalists and Good Enthusiasts than somebody like him.
Wahiyat products hai Reise ke. Mai dekh ke aya hun. Rynox and Solace provide much better products at much better price. And shame on Ranvijay and Reise for pulling off such a stunt!
No Ranvijay was harmed in this video
