Rambo firs blood was filmed in Hope, British Columbia . It is a real town. Another good video Paul. At 66 I'm still slogging the trails.

Yep as you get older there certainly is a lot less action. In my days it was the martial art movies. The number of kids with bruised faces and black eyes was incredible.
I actually encountered Arnold Schwarzenegger one time on a jogging trail in the 1970s while I was going to college in L.A. I passed him because I was a fast runner back then and he was a stiff runner because he was so bulky. Nowadays my action heroes are outdoor UA-camrs like Paul where there is no CGI or AI, at least not yet!
I didn’t encounter him, but one Saturday morning when I was biking around the reflecting pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument before the WWII Memorial was built I did encounter one of Bill Clinton’s SS angrily gesturing at me to stop till they passed by. Bill had already jogged by, this was tail end of his security entourage.

Quite nostalgic to watch. Lot's of my own memories recalled of whilst watching this one. Cheers Paul. I reminisced about my first tent. My first gas stove. (Gaz GT 250 in a nesting pan set. Circa 1978/1979). Rectangular one season shit but affordable sleeping bag (from Index or the Grattan/Kay's catalogue for 31p per week for 20 weeks.on a 10mm thick foam roll mat. And, a backpack with a scaffolding grade aluminium frame. I don't know what people are moaning about these days. Lovely to visit my own memories spawned by this. Where did you get those sunglasses? They look like the price would be upsetting to me. But I want a pair.(or a copy) Ta very much.
My kids brought me them back from Tenerife. They guy they got them from seemed trustworthy and said a lifetime guarantee for 10 euros 😂

Ive been lucky to have passed through Hope B. C. and stayed there on the odd occasion. Quiet little town with no evidence that famous movie was made there.

HI Paul, I've watched your videos for years now & I always looked forward to your next one. Lately, it seems that you have changed your outlook regarding the contents of your videos. Please take this as some constructive criticism and not as a nasty comment. It seems to me that you may feel that you have run out of contents to post regarding your camping trips, and you are looking for something else to bring that spark back. For me, I have never been tired of your camping videos. Believe it or not, they have been a form of mental relief for me. You see, since I became unable to get myself out there due to my disabilitys you have given me a form of escape because I feel that I'm out there with you. You may or may not know just how much your camping adventure videos help people like myself, I know there are more people out there who you bring relief to mentally & we are so grateful for that. I do hope you carry on doing these camping adventures. I understand you can't please everyone, but over the past few weeks, I personally haven't truthfully enjoyed the contents of the videos. Like I said, this comment is not intended to offend in any way. Whichever direction you take, I hope it works out for you.❤

When you go out in the "wild" (uk) you appreciate what you have more when you get back. Great for mental health, obviously we are all different. I just got back from a 5 day rock and metal festival, it rained everyday and was a mudfest, download 2024, and I'm 47 with my partially disabled daughter. When we got back we had a sense of accomplishment and a renewed gratitude of our house! lol I am now going to dress up as Rambo the next time I go camping! Hopefully I wont get arrested?
