You saved me a ton of time and money. I’ve already tried 3 adhesives and none of them work. I was struggling to figure out a glue that would give me the hold and flexibility that I needed. But now I know exactly what I need. Thank you for taking the time out to create such a well edited review.
Sir, this is one of the only videos that I watched “thoroughly” without fast-forwarding or skipping. The content is of great use to me, as I will soon start custom-designing sneakers and applying embroidered patches on fabric. Thank you for taking the time to compare and test these products. “We” UA-camrs can all relate on how challenging it may be to edit such a video. Kudos!!! 👍👍👍
Thank YOU much for this video! U saved me money and a headache. I appreciate that the video was straight to the point without any gimmicks. I also really value the fact that you used more than one fabric! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! (I'm going to try speed-sew btw :))
What you did wrong with majority of the glues were you used too much it's not meant for you to use that much glue and one little small area it would take even longer for it to dry if you use that much I use this glue all the time the only one I don't use is the Elmer's glue but I've used all the rest of them
The fabric fusion socks. I did it how they said on the bottle. I had cloth labels made. Let them sit for 2 days. Washed once, and all edges were peeling up,and some labels were barely on.
Very detailed needed and all questions answered, Owen you got the skills and I like your thought process, being fair and exhaustive. You must expand to other areas
THANK YOU FOR THIS! As previously stated, I watched this review straight through without skipping. Your review is a valuable necessities in my life. My lineage maternal maiden name is Schneider, meaning Tailor and it held true down the family line until I was born. I can barely sew a button back on my shirt and I couldn't sew a straight line (by machine or hand) even if my life was on the line. This is a tremendous help for the patch I need to attach to my son's backpack. Take care and, again, much appreciation!
This is great! I'm leaning towards the Speed Sew or Fabric Fusion for gluing velcro strips on a white polyester, (more sheer than I had hoped), fabric. Looking for the one that does not bleed through and is not stiff. Which one would you say checks both boxes the best? Thank you🙂
Would like to echo how good this video was. Would like to add a catagory for flexibility after washing and drying. Since most of these fabrics are for wearing on the body I need the product to stay comfortable (flexible) for the wearer. Again wonderful video
Has anyone ever used fabric glue to bond pockets to the inside of clothing? I'm curious how many machine washes it can endure before coming loose or if it still holds years after 🤔
Brilliant thanks for sharing. I want to glue my ground sheet into my tent.I am having secound thoughts now, I think I will try glueing Velcro in on both sides might lighter and easier . Again thanks for sharing I think I will try SPEED SEW. Ray K UK YNWA.
Testing polyester would have been useful to many more situations than suede or leather. Most dresses and skirts are at least a polyester blend. Seeing that (what I need to know) would have been great! Thanks anyway for what you did test.
Were the directions read to give the product the best chance to show how it works effectively? It looked like too much glue was used to dry properly against the fabric… to adhere
Oh and never ever ever forget to wrap( the ones with serioues chemicals all) opening with cap on with at least 3feet of plastic wrap.and store in freezer.
Maybe try some synthetic fabrics. I have a bike helmet liner that I believe is made from polyester or polypropylene. I have used Fabric Fusion on another liner before which did not work very well. I will try Speed Sew this time. Strong chemical smells really irritate my eyes, so I avoid those type products, but want something that works.
Hi Owen thanks for the great video! I want to attach two big storage pockets on the inside of an Adidas polyester (nylon) jacket to hold water bottles, etc... does Speed-Sew work on polyester just as well as on cotton?
I bought E6000 and now I want to return it because of the supposed high toxicity. I haven’t opened it yet as Im worried about using it on fabric used to make dolls for children. I guess any product that sticks, is clear and remains flexible will be toxic.:(
Why don't you use synthetic fabrics in the test ? Most clothes are made of polyesther , polyurethane, nylon ...it would be interesting to be able to repair them because it would prevent them from being thrown away, which is not really environmental.
Honestly, I don't really care if it sticks in just 5 minutes, when comparing with a glue that needs 24 hours to glue. Either compare them at 5 minutes or compare them at 24 hours.
I have never given the tacky glue from Aleene's a try, but I would say your best bet is to buy a fabric glue like Aleene's Fabric Fusion for cotton and denim.
I like the way you put it together LOL it did me no good .. looking for how these types of glue will work on nylon .. synthetics are harder to adhere to
@@eoc604 thanks I have not used - might look at it ... I have used shoe Goo and that shit is good . Not real playable - I mended nylon to nylon on Desert combat boots and it's still holding after a couple years .. so ?/ was just looking for other glues - one person somewhere talked about hot glue with nylon. I thought .. bullshit .... well I was right .. Kinda .. I tested it yesterday ... glued 2 pieces then into a vise ... it held kinda I pulled them apart by hand but it did stick .. would not bet my life on it though .. thanks Duncan
Go check out part two, where I test these fabric glues on leather using the side with pores!

I've never seen anyone use glue without spreading it. Increasing the contact area would improve the results for all of them.

Wow, thanks!
@@eoc604 By the way, I just received a tube of E6000 in the mail from Amazon. Can’t wait to use it. 👍

Thanks for doing a wash and dry test.
Would have been kind of pointless without.
You are welcome

Do you recommend any specific brand over the others?
Speed Sew is now my choice. Thanks.
I live in Norway, and we probably don't have the products in your video but you have given me some idea of how strong fabric glue can be. Thank you!
Hello! So nice to have you here! My grandmothers family are from Norway!! 🇳🇴
I think where you go wrong you put it on thick, You use a stick and place a thin layer of it.
I was really surprised that he didn't spread any of them either.
1.E6000, 2. Speed Sew, 3. Fabric Fusion
Needed this, thank you. Recently turned up a few long t-shirts with iron on tape which ruined some of them by stretching the fabric!
thank you I couldn't of Figure this out if it wasn't for your Tutorial Video big thanks too you!
Well done! I'm going with Speed Sew with confidence after watching your video. Thank you for your hard work on this very informative video.
YOUR AWESOME FOR THIS! THANK YOU
Awesomeness. Very thorough and informative! Thank you!!! 👍🏾
The fabric fusion socks.

Super in-depth and straight to the point. Fantastic video, thank you very much for making it!
Thank you! One the best videos on fabric glues review.
Wow, thank you!
The only one you missed was Mighty Mendit. But thanks for letting me know I'm glad I chose Fabric Fusion!
okay that's super informative and thorough, big thanks! great work!

thanks so much for your efforts in doing this!! It was very helpful
Many thanks, just what I needed. Especially taking the extra time to test wash resistance
I'm right there with everybody else. Thank you very much for doing the review, so I'm not wondering which adhesive is the best.
Glad I could help!
I swear by e6000 & fabric fusion!!! However, I’m curious about this “speed sew” now. Thnx
Just got some e6000 for patches on my denim jacket
Your video saved me so much time, money, and effort. Thank you for posting this!!!!!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for doing this!! This was enjoyable to watch and you helped me pick which glue to use for my next project lol

No problem, let me know how it goes!
Gorilla has some different steps as far as time before attaching and add pressure or weight while drying.

Hi Diane, great suggestion! I will have to test polyester in the future
Excellent video all around! Thanks, it was very helpful!

Thank you!
I want to add rip stop nylon strips to the base of my winter tent...do you have a preference that would work? thnks
Great detailed video!
Thank you! so helpful
thumbs up, informative. thanks.

Ths was amazingly helpful
Going with speed sew. Bigger tube
Thank you!
Which glue used in Nonwoven Agriculture fabric to joint, how ..
Thank you for doing this bet helpful
Thank You
Thank you.
Do the winners dry clear?
E6000 dries clear and Speed-sew does not
I have Fabric Fusion but have yet to use it. I have to wonder how many washes will it take until it falls apart.
Keep me updated!
I have a 100 polyester raincoat that I need to add velcro to. What would be the best glue to accomplish this?
Probably gorilla glue or e6000
Did you know if e6000 can be used on polyester and nylon as a glue ?
Thank you very very much ...
Thanks
I'd like to know which is best in sticking tulle to itself.

E6000 is also very smelly! Very strong odor. I threw mine out.
E6000 is the truth. Wish that smell wasnt there. I bet the "6000" means the amount of minutes for that smell to go away. Seems about right too.
Does anyone have any advice for outdoor screen material ? which glue may work to hold pieces together?
What about hemp cord and jute?
As long as the materials have pores to adhere to the fabric glues should work!
I need help, what’s the best glue for a plastic print on a cotton fabric???
At last! Someone who knows how to make a video. I will take your advice
Thanks
Fabric fashion is good if you use too much it will stain as well,
Good to know
hi, can I use these glues to attach clothes labels?
Yes, you can, as long as there are pores for the fabric glue to adhere to.

I was following the instructions on the tubes!
E6000 is WAY overkill. That is the stuff they use to glue diamonds into their settings.
Which glue is best for stone work could you please reply me
These are all fabric glues that need pores to work. I would suggest that you go to a hardware store for stone work glue!
@@eoc604 i didn't expect u will reply me tqs for the reply 🥰🥰
Can you use fabric glue to patch a hole inside a shoe and do you think that'll help reinforce the hole?
Yes, it should work
Could I use this to attach patches I made
Won't stick to iron on Layer. Will stick to fabric
Could I also use Aleenes original tacky glue on fabrics like cotton and Denim?
I have never given the tacky glue from Aleene's a try, but I would say your best bet is to buy a fabric glue like Aleene's Fabric Fusion for cotton and denim.

Tear mender is the best in my opinion
Just posted a new video on my channel comparing Tear Mender and Speed-Sew!
What about flexibiity?
I mention the flexibility of some of the glues in the video starting at 3:48
Are these glue wash resistant?
Yes, they are all washable!
I like the way you put it together LOL it did me no good .. looking for how these types of glue will work on nylon .. synthetics are harder to adhere to
I think the best option for gluing Nylon fabric would be E6000 Craft Adhesive.

Most “denim” IS cotton, so the denim test just duplicates the “cotton” test. Should have tested a common synthetic fabric like polyester.
I’m imagining how he applies peanut butter and jelly. You really caked it on.
Have you tested Fabric Tac glue?
No I haven’t! Maybe that will be my next video.
What about for buttons? Obviously this is for the no -sew guy.
This guy had no f’in idea how to apply the glue.
