- I decided to try building my own concrete counter tops in a house that I'm renovating. This video will show you all the steps from start-to-finish so you can learn what I did right (and what I didn't!). If you're thinking of giving it a try, leave a comment and tell everyone how it went!

Materials Used
- Concrete mix
- Reinforcing mesh & 10M epoxy-coated rebars
- Formwork (boards to create the shape of the countertop)
- Styrofoam sheets
- Trowel, float, and sponge
- Concrete sealer
Steps:
- Build the formwork: Create the shape of the countertop using boards and secure them in place.
- Reinforce the concrete: Cut the reinforcing mesh to fit the formwork and place it inside.
- Pour the concrete: Mix the concrete according to the instructions on the bag and pour it into the formwork.
- Smooth the surface: Use a trowel, float, and sponge to create a smooth surface on the concrete.
- Cure the concrete: Allow the concrete to cure before removing the formwork.
- Seal the concrete: Apply a concrete sealer to protect the surface from stains and scratches.
Note: It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for the concrete mix and sealer for best results.

Great vid the finish looks good!
Thanks Zach!
Great video Sir. Thank you
Thank you!
This one was very interesting considering the difference in cost compared to quartz. About five to six thousand dollars.
Yes I agree. I saved a bunch of money on concrete countertops
Looks great! Can the concrete counter tops be casted on Ikea cupboards? How would you recommend reinforcing if so?
I used the 3/4 melamine sheet for the base then shimmed for full contact with the cabinet, then I used a L bracket to secure everything in place. Good luck and thanks for watching!
