Dude. I have no desire to build a van but for some reason I love watching your videos. I like your style. Smart, well thought out designs yet flexible with a touch of “winging it.” I like to think that that is how I live my life. Thanks.
Have been following your build for a while. Amazing. Thanks to you we have just started our own build. LOL BUT where have you been??? Hope all is well and looking forward to your next video. Thank you again for sharing!!
Hi Jeff, good stuff! I've been thinking more about cassette toilets versus a standard RV toilet/black-water system. The big item, which you had likely mentioned in your video on that subject, was that you could dump them anywhere. That is certainly the big plus that got me rethinking cassette toilets. That is one can dump them at an RV dump, pit toilets, standard toilets (requires keeping the handle pushed down), and porta-potties. The downside is likely "capacity". But, if one is mostly traveling solo, maybe capacity isn't quite so critical. And I picked up elsewhere if one keeps their urine separate there just isn't the stink when combined. I haven't fully decided yet, but will now go review your video on your choice of toilet.
Why do you have 2 grey water tank, you 1st on was undermount, couldn't you just connect sink to that one? And how you planning to winterize your 1st grey tank?
Jeff love your channel, I am using a electric ball valve on my build for two reasons I don’t have to leave an access and can open it more discreetly, great job.
I'm wondering if you can put a dribble line to just aft of the catalitic converter to turn the gray water into exhaust steam making better use of the tank?
Can you get an electric ball valve that size? - thinking if the feds pull us over on the road and ask us to follow them to a weighbridge, whilst rolling flip some switches on the dash to jettison tanks 👍
That outlet pipe design reminds me of Heston the Michelin star chef from UK who creates food in ways we cant imagine. Cant wait for the bed and U bench work to start. I know this might be late in the design but that sharp edge of the upper cabinet near the door looks dicey. Any thoughts?
If it is cold outside and snowing and you want to dump your grey tank, I think I would have made the valve so it could be accessed from the inside of the van…. Love your videos and jokes. Keep up the great videos and content.
Love your vids. So helpful and informative. I'll be that guy... you shouldn't be draining grey water anywhere but into a proper drain. Especially directly onto the ground in the wilderness. Sorry. Don't let me detract from the awesomeness that is your build. Also, did you consider putting all of your wet works on one side of the van so you can just use the one grey tank? My plan whenever I build my van is to try and have a "wet wall" sort of philosophy and put all of the waterworks together in one area. Curious about your decision making process. Stay awesome!
The stuff that stops the water throwing it’s weight around is keeping his hand from reaching where it needs to be to put the in (or out) on the other end. Part of the connector needs to be placed from the inside, hence the first manhole.
Jeff .....help!!! How is life? Great i hope, but i mis something lately. Where are the new helpfull video's. I hope there is nothing going bad at this moment. So please make us happy with some new vids. Grtz from the Netherlands
I appreciate your videos. A lot of these van build videos gloss over the gory details (and the mistakes), and yours stand out from the crowd.
This is so true! That's why I trust and appreciate Dares Drives videos! He is candid and that is so wonderful to watch.
How's the baffles doing with the chunkies in the drain water? Can they still drain out?

DIY Van builds make me chuckle especial when it comes to black and grey tanks and drainage

Jult 18 th 2021 was his last posted on u tube, could he on another web sight ?
@@richard4743 But what? I hope he's ok. I'm in the middle of a custom van build and it's easily one of the most aggravating projects I've ever done.
Awesome explanation.
You are very educational and entertaining. 💕
You make it look easy Jeff, good planning is the key. Keep it up and I’m looking forward to the next video.
Thank you for the information. Your videos are awesome!
And good catch
Good laugh with the slow camera fall. Drilling through the floor of your van stressed me out haha! But you got it perfect, nicely done.
Doing the same tank except smaller. Very tight for sure
Long time no hear. Hope you are well

Almost 7k subscribers! 10k or bust
Looking good. This will 100% do the job. Good planning and execution!

What electric valve are you using Mike?
great job buddy.
so how do you keep your undermount tank from freezing?
Jeff, When you said you were building a four season van I didn’t know you meant you were going to take four seasons to build it
😂😂😂
ayo don't do him dirty like that 😂 quality takes time 😁
size of drain maybe consider a net to keep friendly little vermin from climbing in and committing drowning.
Hey Jeff, Love the channel. Been missing the new videos!
Good catch Jeff 😂. And I must say either well measured or luck on your side but look well.

Nice video! Looking forward to how you will hook up the shower tray to your grey tank!
Great traffic on here as well.
Put in 2 valves and make sure there’s air in between the valves every time you drain the tank
Do you have a link for the Bulkhead fittings?
how did you seal the 4' cap?
Sweet camera catch

put a screw on cap at bottom of drain pipe
I love the forgetting stuff, I forget my name sometimes
Were r you located what state?
Always pro
i didnt see this video till now

That must be one hell of a sink if you’re using that as a teaser
I like you, you crazy. You got a $100k build being filmed with a $10 tripod.
I screamed: Bulkhead! But you didn't hear....
Bulkhead! Such a manly word, putting bulk and head together. I thought it was just a manly submarine/aircraft/spacestation word.
With that baffle in the grey tank it will be difficult to clean. Word is grey tanks get stinky over time and need to be cleaned.
You lost me on the description of why the baffles made you put the input and the output on the same end

Why is UA-cam putting much so many advertisements for quack products on your channel? Are they trying to tell you something?
I am using a solenoid ball valve. I only have to press a burrow from inside the van to open the drain. it was $50. or $60.00 plus a wire and a switch
sorry (Button)
Don't sand the PVC, use PVC primer.
Hello Jeff - only you could make grey water sexy !
ABS not PVC.
Isn’t it possible and wouldn’t it be easier to make all of this out of stuff that isn’t damaged by freezing?
Hi Dad we love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤from Your step kids
Get rid of that $50 tripod
Putting waste tank inside the van guarantee will stink overtime.
Hurry up and finish this van with global warming pretty soon it’s gonna be palm trees in Canada
