Thredup must be purging the tiny sizes right now. Saw a couple of other unboxing videos recently with the same brands, loft outlet, BR factory and all tiny sizes. I think you might have won the prize for the tiniest size XXS Petite...lol.
Yeah, I won?!? 😁 I agree they must be purging small sizes or buying up closeouts. Either way, it's enough to discourage me from buying another Mixed Clothing box.
Oh my gosh Heather, this was painful!! They used to have a J Crew Banana Republic Loft box - this looks like one of those! I’m sorry they did that to you! The shoes and denim will forever be my favorites
@@SequelsBoutique - I know a few resellers really like the fabric box (or something along those lines). I've seen the unboxings, and they seem like good boxes...IF you don't mind selling brides maids dresses, evening gowns...long fancy dresses.
@@dmreddragon6 Some other Sequels' friends mentioned the fabric box, as well. Here's hoping I can catch one next time they are in stock. I'll be sure to share it when I do. Thanks for the tip! ☺
Have you opened your box yet? Fingers crossed you get a winner. Historically complaining has never gone in my favor. I'll list at a low price and hope for the best. Maybe this is motivation for me to start selling live to get rid of some of these lower price goods.
I ordered the 200 pound box. It came from PA. Majority of box was Old Navy and Forever 21 and small sizes. I don’t think there was anything larger than a 4. So…I feel you. I ordered because last few boxes were pretty good
I was just about to come here to leave this exact comment! Old Navy and Forever 21 and all career wear, nothing over Size 4 in my 200 lbs🤦♀ I don't know what happened, to ThredUp. I got such a good 200lb lot last year, it made so much profit.
Did you take the loss or attempt to sell? I don't have experience selling live but seems like the type of product that move on during a Posh Show or WhatNot. Wow, that's a huge bummer on a 200lb box!
@@kristenperry3624 Wow, I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you too. Were you able to recoup the cost of the box? For so many to get the same product it seems like they're stuffing the boxes with buyout instead of donations. I historically have always done poorly with buyout boxes.
@@SequelsBoutique Yes, it does seem that way. It's so weird. Everything in my 4 boxes was the same stuff, over and over and over. I listed just a handful of things and those aren't even really special. I just felt I needed to list something. I ended up putting the rest into lots by sizes and am selling them locally on FB for $20 a trashbag full. Just trying to recoup as much as I can and get this stuff out of the house. I won't be ordering the 200lbs again for a while. I do think they go through phases, so I'll wait a while. The last 200lbs I got jsut a few months ago, I got a full length lululemon puffer coat that sold for $150, and that wasn't the best thing in the box. That lot made me over $1000 profit. It's so dissapointing, but definitely the risk of buying these boxes.
@@kristenperry3624 I'm so glad to hear you 200lbs box paid of. There is certainly the risk of purchasing mystery boxes and I'm ok with being disappointed...occasionally. I currently have my bundles listed on all the platforms except FB, as it has been quite slow for lately. I'll have to go ahead and crosslist them. A big thanks for sharing your strategies and happy selling!
My last denim box was not great lots of small sizes and too much stretch wear that was visible. Was glad I got it on discount but still would like to use this more often as a resource to save time.
Same with my last denim box. Like you, I like to use them as a time saving option and also to share on UA-cam (as they are always my highest viewed videos). However, my primary goal is to make money. No profit...no reorder.
Oh that is so bad. I'm so sorry. I've only ordered one ThredUp mixed clothing box and it was just as awful, mine was all express in size XS. I wonder if you complained if they might give you a credit. Hope everything sells for you. You were really funny, yes I voted!!!!
The rescues used to be a bit better. Now if I do a purse one they only give you one decent one to possibly break even and the rest is pleather junk. At least this has been my experience. it's like they put something decent on top and the rest is meh.
Coming back from an almost year long reselling hiatus, I'm definitely noticed a change in the quality of ThredUP boxes. It's a shame as there is so much more competition you'd think they would have up'd their game. 🤷♀
On a positive note, I loved hearing the keywords you used when describing the items. You need to do a video on keywords, if you haven't already. Sad note...it wasn't a great box, sorry.😢
I ordered this box only one time and had lots of small sizes and the brands were not great. Haven’t ordered since. I have seen decent boxes in videos but most are not great.
@@SequelsBoutique I just watched a collaboration with a bunch of creators and they opened up the scrap fabric diy box. There was some great pieces in almost every box and I’m considering trying it out. I think it only cost $24
When I saw your title I had to watch - I just got 3 boxes 90% were XXS, XS and brands that do not sell. One of my boxes came split (delivered on different days) and was not a box, was two separate huge poly bags. I think they did a clear out. Also, why no mens boxes anymore - they are the best!! I’m still ordering thought because no time to thrift. I will say the boxes had enough int hem to pay for themselves, just not very profitable. Trying to sell some on What Not at low price points. At least keep it out of the landfill.
Three boxes, now that stings a bit. I agree, even with the small sizes and basic brands I've historically made a small profit. I'm hoping the same will be true for this box. Are you having success on WhatNot? I haven't tried yet but I've considered giving it a go to purge through some old inventory.
This is the worst box I have ever saw, I have received many boxes of all kinds from thredup and I've never gotten anything this bad. Not just the sizes, but the items are all quite old and outdated styles. Really awful.

I also ordered a 25 item box recently and every item was Loft or Banana Republic Size 00,0 and 2. Time to take a longgggg break from Thredup
I'm right there with you, friend. No more Mixed Clothing boxes for me.

I have ordered one once and it had all Walmart and Target in them 😊
Ok now, that's just insulting! Shame on you ThredUP.
How awful, you should complain, 0-4 is all XS IMO. I ordered 50 piece @ 3/17, I'm afraid to open it.

I’ve ordered from TU a few times. Nothing fit. I will never order from them again. Sizes are so screwed up and it’s hit or miss. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
