Steve Martin was going to play the straight man in this movie, but ultimately filled this role. It's so ridiculous, but that's why I love it. He's more than capable, but so obviously not Italian. That's what makes it hilarious.

I think it was supposed to be Arnold as the gangster but he withdrew for Kindergarten Cop. Wouldn't have been as funny, that's for sure.
