Judd Nelson (Bender) was 26, he was the oldest of the student actors. Molly Ringwald (Claire) and Anthony Michael Hall (Brian) were 17 and Emilio Estevez (Andrew) and Ally Sheedy (Allison) were 23.
Yes! You're right about the freeze frame. The only thing missing from the movie Easy-A was right at the end when the guy fist-bumps the sky he shoulda freeze-framed. And then Emma Stone woulda looked at him and said "what... what are you doing?" Cut-to-black. 😂
And now you know where Bender from Futurama got his name. Also, Anthony Michael Hall was in this and 16 Candles. Scrawny little dude. Then comes Edward Scissorhands and suddenly he's built like the jock. Was insanely jarring.
I knew it was Judd in girl in basement, I only watched it because I'm a fan of Judd Nelson but after seeing him in the girl in the basement😮😮 just strange seeing him being that.
I think my love for these films started my love of movies and tv and actors/actresses. The whole era of these films are so good it makes me nostalgic for a time I was never a part of. ❤❤ great reaction my dude! Please watch the rest of John Hugh’s Films!!
Loved this reaction and was waiting for it to be on here, got excited when I caught the premiere. St Elmo's Fire is one of my favorite movies of all time, it has a few of the same actors from breakfast club. it's an either you love it or hate in movie, but it's a classic 80s movie. Pretty in pink is really good too.
I feel like this movie is a right of passage for those going into High School. I painted the movie poster on a ceiling tile in my school’s art room. I can still see it when I look through the window.
I think it was third grade when i saw this. I had the soundtrack and loved this, the princess bide, labrynth, and adventures in babysitting. Not to mention the clasic goonies.
I dunno if anyone else mentioned this, but the actor who played the grunge kid in the trench coat, (Judd Nelson) also played the dad in your video about the man who locked his daughter in the basement for 24 years. Just a little fun fact. 😁
Him saying "kill the teacher instead of yourself" reminds me of this Family Guy episode where Peter was working as a suicide hotline operator and some guy called and said his wife was cheating on him and that he was going to kill himself, and Peter told the guy, "Wouldn't make more sense to kill your wife?" Mike is literally Peter Griffin LOL
Fun fact Brian's mom and sister in the movie is his real mom and sister. ❤ thank you mile for all that you do. Are you going to do any reactions to the tv series The Haunting Hour such a good show much better then goosebumps.
1. The woman and little girl dropping of Brian are Anthony Michael Hall's real mother and sister. 2. The late Paul Gleason 😇played Beeks in "Trading Places". Also, the idiot assistant police chief in "Die Hard". 3. "Ya got fifty bucks?" was supposed to be twenty. The look on Paul's face was genuine. 4. That's not Molly's crotch, she was a minor. 5. I still use the term "doobage".😎 6. Even John Hughes😇 said the shattering window was a huge reach. 7. That's not dandruff, it's parmesan cheese. 8. I love Ally Sheedy. Personally, I liked her better GOTH.😍😝😈 9. If you catch it Andrew's dad is scoping out Allison as he's picking up Andrew. 10. John Hughes is picking up Brian. 11. At some point Carl was the school's "Man of the year". 12. Hughes used this school in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Uncle Buck".
“She’s alright… oh, we gotta lock her up” 😂 she’s my favorite
“edible arrangement?” i can’t deal with you 😂😂😂
@@thiswolffbites That was a howl! 😂 "How do you even begin to apologize for something like that?"

This is a great classic!!! Sixteen candles is another one you should DEFINITELY consider watching, if you liked this one.

Bro 😂
Landis often ends his movies with the freeze frame.
The reality of this movie only gets better with time.
"What are they smoking? A receipt?" 💀
Excellent choice making yourself Molly Ringwald in the thumbnail 😂
Mess with the bull, Get the horns!! Lol

This movie hits different now than it did in high school. So great.
30:26 all the air left my lungs at that joke
It’s crazy to think that Judd Nelson, the guy that plays bender, is the same guy that plays the dad in the “girl in the basement” movie
Bender is the same actor who played that disgusting father in the Girl in the Basement. I couldn't believe it was the same dude when I first saw it.
I knew it was Judd in girl in basement, I only watched it because I'm a fan of Judd Nelson but after seeing him in the girl in the basement😮😮 just strange seeing him being that.
Never would have put this on your radar. But I'm so glad you watched this! Such a classic!!
Def a classic, and I wanna recommend Heathers if you haven't seen that one yet. It's peak Christian Slater!

Say Anythings better than Sixteen Candles, i watched the Breakfast Club so much in high school i memorized the dialogue
The 80s had such great teen movies. I was in High School when this was released. Now I’m almost 60. Crazy!!
"omg my headphones" sent me lmaoooo
I watched this in 2004 and I was like ‘yeah definitely don’t go to Afghanistan now’
Judd Nelson was 25 when this movie came out.
you literally have the best thumbnails😂
I appreciate that lol
Being in a room hearing all the noises of all the people would drive me crazy.
The actor who plays the jock Emilio Estevez is also Charlie Sheen’s brother.

this movie is overhyped lmao it kinda sucks imo but good commentary
Yeah it's probably outside your comprehension level no worries. Go watch a super hero movie thights, steroids and CGI.
@@emmanuelpaquette3310 it has nothing to do with comprehension but your ignorance is observed lol
