It's so insane when you think about how different tech is now from when I was a kid 25-30 years ago. I'm 34 and I remember as a kid my Dad had a wall sized shelf filled to the brim with Vinyl records, Cassette Tapes, and was just starting to rebuy everything in CD format, I remember specifically he really thought CDs were going to be around for a very very long time so he bought this 100 disk CD player that had this super cool carousel style of holding the cd's with this awesome automatic door that would stay closed while spinning to your desired CD than opening up so you can change it out. I remember he spend an entire day once going through and meticulously writing down the exact position of every CD than writing a list on his PC and printing it out, that didn't last long though because once he filled up all 100 slots and wanted to listen to something else the list would get all messed up when he would forget which cd used to be in there after changing it a few times and moving stuff around lmao! A lot of my Childhood (and teenage years) were spend in places like Media Play and FYE, I especially remember super fondly only having like $5-10 bucks and going to the used CD section of Media Play to see what I could turn that $10 into. Now I just imagine going back in time and showing my Dad in the 90s two high capacity external SSDs or something, one filled with like tons of movies and consolidated albums (even though I don't buy music anymore so even that tech is somewhat dated now with Spotify or Apple Music, and than show him my External PC SSD with like 4TBs of game data on it because my Dad used to have this cool wood grain Atari cartridge case that held something like 75-100 Atari 2600 games and for my like 5th or 6th birthday he got me a Sega Genesis and taught me early on about taking care of my games and keeping them in their cases on a shelf he built me. It's just insane to think about that only being like 28-30 years ago and it really makes you think about what the hell tech is going to look like in 30 years from now, it's wild man.
Wait Matt was Ken's professor(I'm guessing TA) in college but Ken was Matt's boss afterwards? And now they're just best friends? What a weird relationship.

For my EDC, I use a backpack of holding, which has held up remarkably well over a decade of use as a canvas bag. I keep my framework laptop in a macbook protective case in the laptop compartment, as well as Base quiet comfort 2 headphones, a wireless mouse, and a wireless keyboard, an HDMI cord, a number of framework modules for various ports, an ANKER ganPrime charger, a couple of type c cables, two micro usb cables, my watch charger, some QCY ear buds, and all of it fits nicely into the bag. If I need to store more stuff (like having a couple changes of clothes) I can loosen the straps of the bag to give it more space and I'm good for an entire weekend. With my laptop and ports, if a hotel has a TV, I can hook up to it and use all of my streaming services/ games and navigate from the comfort of bed. And if I get an emergency with work, I can hop onto even coffee shop wifi (with a VPN) and remote in to handle anything. The bag is a little heavy, but even though it's my EDC, most of the time, it lives in my car, rather than on my person. But it certainly can be carried around for a number of hours without issue.
I have been going from Ken to Matt in terms of my EDC. in my crossbody bag lives my HP Aero 13 as my main work machine. so light, so powerful. and a simple 45W GaN charger so you know its gonna be compact. otherwise - there's space for the same cable kit that matt has, some small thumbdrives, a space for a water bottle and...that's it. been downsizing my EDC because of my back. It hurts growing old.
I’m more with Ken on my EDC, I usually bring everything whether I need it or not. But I agree with Matt on how useful my iPad mini is; on days when I don’t bring my main EDC, I usually still have my iPad mini with me (and I also wish I’d gone for the cellular option). And I still haven’t given up my 13 mini for a bigger phone.
Yes, I love these videos. I use a WolfPak backpack. I got it for xmas (i told my fiance to buy it lol) and it has 2 cup holders on the side that I LOVEEE. It's roomy and it fits my Ipad, ipad accessories, my 15in laptop (i dont bring often becuz the Ipad does a ton). A fan that goes around my neck, an Anker powerbank, tissues, bug spray, germx, tampons, fresh wipes and my switch lite. I love it and I can carry whatever I need. I ride a motorcycle so it also keeps my tool kit, insurance information and my gloves if I plan to use them. I work in the office half the time, so it also carries my work PC and mouse. I love my Wolfpak and mainly got it for the gym, but now I use it all the time.
I have two EDCs. One is my shoulder bag which carries my wallet, inhaler, epipens, and allergy stuff among other things. On weekends, that bag also houses my gun. My other bag is my backpack, which has my 16-inch MacBook Pro, either my Surface Laptop Go 2, Legion Slim 7i, or Steam Deck, DSi LL, and 11-inch iPad Pro. There's also a battery bank, two USB-C cables, USB-C to Lightning cable, USB-C power adapter, and CAC reader.
Why is it frightening? A knife is a tool not a weapon. I would agree it’s frightening if they had some huge number of random stabbings at their office. Then I’d get it. Otherwise I’ve carried knives my whole life and never had a problem. I own probably 55+. Though admittedly that’s a conservative number as I can’t be bothered to count them.
@@chloesdad2010 definitely heavily depends on how you use it. I use my four knifes (two razors, one pocket and a Muti-tool) as tools (hint the last one) I carry them around everywhere. (minus Government/places where it is illegal)

I use the simple Grey Lenovo bag from Amazon. I carry my Alienware x14, necessary cables, power brick for laptop, surge protector power strip which has 2 plugs and 2 USB ports, a Taurus G3C with extra magazine, and my Samsung A12 cellphone.

I am not an Apple user, so I don't carry anything Apple related. This is my EDC. I got a Patagonia Tres 25L from work that I carry all my kit in. My kit consists of my work T490 i7, a Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), a portable battery pack, a couple USB drives, a Anker Soundcore Life Note (for calling only) OR if I need music quality I'll add my Galaxy Buds 2, a couple USB-C cables, and a charger for my Galaxy Watch 4.
