    The finished sculpture is just so calming and beautiful to look at, I can’t wait to try the method.

    Vorrei chiederti un consiglio... si potrebbe dopo messo il gesso ricoprire la scultura con l'argilla che asciuga all aria?

      Yes. Although adding a little white glue helps it stick better when applying it.

    question! where did you buy the nylon from?

    • @artwithandrews7267
      @artwithandrews7267  2 роки тому

      Great question! Walmart sells super cheap knee high nylon for under 1$ per pair.

    Can I put a coat of plaster on top of everything? Mine doesn’t look as polished as yours, and I think with plaster I can sand it down and finish it better.

      Yes. I would use sculptomold (a mixture of paper pulp and plaster)with joint compound (wall mud) on top and sanded to s smooth finish.

    How long do you dry between coats of glue?

    • @artwithandrews7267
      @artwithandrews7267  2 роки тому +1

      I usually wait about 2 to 3 hours until it is fully dry. That makes the sculpture surface more receptive for the next coat.

    что это за клей такой?

    • @artwithandrews7267
      @artwithandrews7267  День тому

      Simple PVA glue (white glue). Two coats watered down, and two coats regular.

      @@artwithandrews7267 я пробовал но жёсткости нет, мягкая на ощупь. может у меня другой ПВА?. А если акриловой шпатлёвкой вместо клея намазать?

    • @artwithandrews7267
      @artwithandrews7267  День тому

      Acrylic puddy might work but can crack when it dries. Maybe try another coat or two of pva to see if it needs more layers.

    Wouldn’t it be easier to simply screw a hook on the bottom for drying and remove it when dry?

    • @artwithandrews7267
      @artwithandrews7267  Рік тому

      I find that the extra nylon at the bottom is really easy to hang but a hook at the bottom would work too.

      Does it crack? How durable is it? Nice!

    it´s a good base but not good finish, use plaster for example

    • @artwithandrews7267
      @artwithandrews7267  4 місяці тому

      Can you elaborate on that? I’m not sure what you mean by finish. Are you eluding to the luster of the surface of the sculpture? Do you mean plaster as another base? Hmm..
