Always love seeing how you both interact with each other. Great chemistry. Loving the black Engobe dinner set, especially with the yellow. Classy. Some great experiments too. January is always a refreshing period of time for fun and experimentation. So good to hear your story, bery interesting and excited to see the new store too! Would love to see some before and after footage , and along the way. A kiln opening with a difference! Brilliant.
I would happily listen to you two chatting about your pottery journey. I've decided that this year I'm doing multiple artists markets and now I'm making myself anxious about putting together a cohesive collection to display.
Great story all tips appreciated, Cant wait to see what your sponsor sent you. I found my kiln on FB 450 BOUGHT IT FOR 350. Never thought I would be able to do pottery as there is no studios any where nere me and thanks to people like you on you tube I am making and selling it now So big thank you to all the you tube Channels
That was great to hear how the Lord opened doors for you to start. Definitely some blessings there. I had a little bit of a similar start story and also a wonderful supportive husband. Selling small amounts in a boutique now thanks to the Lord opening some amazing doors for that. Thank you for sharing!!!
Beautiful new combo’s ❤️ My husband has a CRT-D, although it was put in when he was 45… still young. He suffered a respiratory arrest due to a virus and was in ICU for two weeks. Sending best wishes to your daughter in law from the UK 🙏🏻 xx
I love your story, as we look at how successful you are now… it’s nice to glimpse into your journey. I like your lack dinner ware, it would be nice to see a copper bowl or luncheon plate with it. Thank you for sharing! Nice new combos. Yes business tips would be great. 😌
I love the new haircut! You two are so much fun! The black and ancient copper aria just beautiful! I glazed a bowl with that combo when I saw your brother had done it. I love the bright colors as well. To help you get the matte glazes or even any glaze to not leave streaks make sure to apply each layer in a different direction. It helps sooo much!! I just love the dinnerware sets!! Having the small plate the matte color will be helpful to not get knife marks so easily since most small plates aren’t used for cutting food on as well as inside of a a bowl. Making one set of each glaze combo is a great idea. When I first started making pottery I only slipcast and made myself and several families dinnerware sets! My set is over 50 pieces and an 8 piece place setting! I had a heck of a time trying to show people options for their place settings. OMGOSH I love your story of how you got started!! Isn’t it crazy how things just find you?! I found my kiln in a newspaper add way back when we didn’t even have the internet like we do now. I was looking for some help with my kiln about 3 years ago and was given the name of a man that works on kilns a few hours from me and when I called his wife said he had passed several years ago but she could maybe help me. We spoke for well over an hour and she ended up telling me she had an extra wheel that she would sell for 300.00 and a slab roller that she would just GIVE me!! I don’t throw because my wrists hurt so badly when I try but I use it for sanding bottoms and using with gr pottery forms. I also found my big blue 6” extruder on Facebook marketplace for a few hundred dollars and the people who had it actually drove to Iowa to deliver it to me!! If the creator wants us to do something he will always put in place a way. And if we are really blessed he will also put a person in our life to push us to seek a way when we need it! Thank you sooo much for sharing that story and of course anything you can tell us about business would be incredibly helpful to so many of us.
Love the video!!!! I would love business tips and tricks. I did my first market last December and would love to learn how to make my pottery business grow. I appreciate all I have learned from you (and Todd) so far.
I love your story. Now that you make it to sell and for a living do you find it brings you less joy? thank you both for sharing and I can't wait to see your new shelving.
I did get quite burned out this Christmas season! I still get a thrill doing new things but it can’t feel like work most days! That being said, I’m so thankful that this can be my full time job and that I get to work from home with Todd!
Off topic, but would love to see how you use a Dremel on pieces. I bought one and it doesn’t seem to take off glaze that well & also turns the spot I’m working on grey. I’m thinking that I’m not using the right Dremel diamond bit?
Some added drama to this video - right as Todd tossed the wine cup in the air, they went to commercial. I actually said, "Oh no"! Some great pieces today!
I liked the power turquoise!❤

Awe thank you Jane! Best with to you and your family as well!

I use the diamond core dremel bit. Yes I will have to do a video, hard to explain in a comment!
Some added drama to this video - right as Todd tossed the wine cup in the air, they went to commercial. I actually said, "Oh no"! Some great pieces today!
Hi Kim, Just wondered about the black mat on the dinnerware. Could black englobe be substituted?
No, engobe is basically just coloured clay, so it wouldn’t seal the clay!
I would like to hear business tips
