Hyundai and Kia always have plans for the American market, this is exactly one of Hyundai's plans for the American market, I just don't know if it has sold well or not.

This car look like Cadillac escalade
My parents have a 2020 Palisade Limited and it's genuinely a nice vehicle. One of the best values for your money. The NA v6 can feel slightly anemic at times largely due to the transmission programming done by Hyundai. The engine itself actually is adequate. But the car when it's in comfort mode or any other modes other than 'sport' the shifts are way too lazy. Worst of all, it's EXTREMELY hesitant to downshift when you need to dig into the powerband. You need to seriously put your foot down, and when you do you get that surge of downshift and harsh revving. However putting the car into 'sport' fixes all this since you can modulate power way better.
They improve the performance of the transmission so it's a lot faster and the 0 to 60 time is faster as well for the 2023 model year and numerous updates for crashed protection and NVH improvements
