Seems easier to buy a huge Milwaukee or dewalt impact, brace the engine and trannny from above it, and just drop the sub frame as a whole unit. Rather than fight it while laying under it. Probably quicker too. I had to drop it for a transfer case. I lowered it with a rolling jack and a little cart and just pulled it out.
The stem actually unsrews from the mount itself. So you need to lift the engine, unscrew stem and get it out, get mount out, new mount in, new stem in and drop the engine back. Pain in the a**

Can the rack and pinion be replace with out removing the motor mount?
