The long awaited update on tap shoes and your recommendations I have been waiting for! I appreciate you and appreciate sharing your thoughts and perspectives on the brands best for beginners on up. As I said before, you have all the brands. Thank you!

I have Capezio Roxy’s. Should I loosen the taps for a different sound or leave them alone. I love Capezio! Excellent video! Thank you! 😊

My fave tip for heel taps has been if you have hard sole character shoes that work for you its not too hard or costly to get taps added. Personally I lucked out, I trust Capezio manhattans (fit my feet well, last long and are pretty affordable) ...which also come in Xtreme aka with taps. Which are single strap 2.5 heel not as strapped in and aesthetic as La Ducas but a bit more wallet friendly.

This is probably a strange question. Would any of those healed shoes be ok to wear, just normally? And how customizable are they? I’m in a wheelchair and if I get shoes with heals they can help my feet stay on the foot rest. I just wouldn’t put the taps on them.
Normal everyday shoes fall apart a lot quicker than tap shoes apparently. I also have a strange shaped foot so I would need custom sizes.
You put those shoes through a lot and they still work so if I can get everyday shoes that work that would be a miracle

Hi! Thanks so much or this video! My question is: What are the best sounding Taps? I have K360's now, my next pair will be DeLuca.
Geez, idk if the DeLuca comes with their own taps?

Hi !! I would say Capezio taps have a nice think round sound! The Miller and Ben tap shoes have a high tone sound. Laduca does have their own brand of taps, and I would say the sound of the Laduca taps is light. I personally prefer the sound of the capezio taps

@@EmilyJeanne Which is a coincidence because LaDuca tap shoes used to have Capezio taps. Could you just buy a pair of hard soled character shoes from them and have Capezio taps attached separately?

Good video, but a few questions/nitpicks:
    1. The LaDuca Angeliques come with a hard sole as standard (like the Roxies), unlike most other LaDuca styles where the soft sole is standard. I'm sure you could get either one as a soft-soled character shoe, though (or get a pair of heeled tap shoes from them with no rubber.)
    2. How do you know that the inside of the K360s is Italian leather? I know it's a paisley-patterned leather, but I don't necessarily think it's from Italy. Are you perhaps confusing them with LaDucas? I know those are Italian leather (and I was actually able to confirm from the Italian factory that makes them that the leather on the linings and outsoles is also from Italy.) Capezio was established by an Italian immigrant, but I believe the K360s are American made. That doesn't rule out the possibility that some of the leather is Italian, but it's worth mentioning. (Also that the Capezio Charlotte, a soft-soled LaDuca-style character shoe, is Italian made, as well as many of their ballroom shoe styles. I suspect it's even the same factory where LaDucas are made.)
    3. Depending on how much customization you do, can't some custom pairs of Capezios cost as much as $600-$800?

I have a question. Daughter was recently cast in a summer theater production of 42nd Street. They said she should get beige heel taps. We thought we'd splurge on Laduca Roxies for her but then realized they wouldn't get here on time. What should we get?

Hope my business gets in your videos soon. I’m hopefully in the near future starting a sustainably sourced and ethically made that gives women in poverty jobs tap shoe and general broadway supply brand. Just no costumes. Though May expand. You will be my first to review. I will make sure they are perfect. I want them to sound like ginger and Fred like your miller and bens. Let’s hope this is soon

Miller & Ben shoes are too stiff and hard to me.
