Yes! I feel so horribly for the people that go on this show, so lost in a circumstance or affliction that they cannot see what we see. Obviously most are people who know the game and go on to make a fool of themselves for money and attention but the ones who need actual help can’t and don’t see that and I worry for those strangers. When Dr. Phil asked her about her father, my heart just broke. You can see the defensiveness of this young girl because she's been really hurt by the absence of her father, and you can hear her mother crying. This whole situation is sad. What's good is that this girl has a good mother. The father however should be there for both of them.

He is the worst therapist I’ve ever come across.
What did he say you disagree with? He seemed to ask the right questions and you can tell by her emotional response. What do you want him to do? Not find the root cause of her problems?

Dr. Phil's analysis is correct. She was always on the defense. I know she got humiliated in other portions of the show - but not in this one. She was very, very clearly hurt and let down by her father. But I will say I'm almost proud of her for rising above and using that pain to make the lives of her and her mother better. Good on her. What a driven young woman. It doesn't matter if you don't like her music. You have to respect her drive.

I have a strong feeling that a huge part of Danielle’s behavior is also due to her not having the proper support when she needed it. Somewhere along the way, she tried to express her feelings and vulnerability and somebody shut her down, leaving her emotionally damaged. Hence why she refused to open up or show sentimental feelings.
To ask a child who is thirteen years old or younger to handle these types of situations maturely and then punishing her for lashing out is in my opinion abuse. I’m also not saying that all her behavior was justified, stealing someone’s car has no link to what she’s undergone

See here is the difference of perspective. She didn’t just become who she was at 13. She saw that behavior and developed from her environment. Low self esteem and low self worth? I saw someone unique with a special way of protecting herself that the world doesn’t understand. Everyone doesn’t fall under the labels that society puts us on as we develop the defensive mechanisms to protect ourselves from childhood trauma. No one has the right to judge and the time that each person has to overcome their unique purpose and their unique gift to maximize their plan of their why. That is the truth.

Danielle closes down because she went through her parents divorce. She suffered the pain and toxicity. As a teeenager it’s hard to cope with it. When he asked her “we’re you hurt by someone” and she was quick to say “nope” but you can see the pain.
