Great video. I tried using Blender to create some objects for Godot but I had so many problems. This video fixed almost every one of those. Only texture materials don't get imported. It says it can't find the file, otherwise everything's fixed.
If you're using procedural materials then they won't show in Godot, you need to turn them into image textures. It's either solid colors or image textures.
If the texture is images in blender, the texture wouldn't be added in godot. But if I use glb/gltf as exporting format, the model with texture will be imported successfully. Do you have any ideas?
@@ArcaneEnergy Thanks for reply. I checked the textures folder, only one image imported. Even though I already packed all images, the textures still failed. But I have changed the export method to GLTF format, which is imported successfully.
Good video but when I started working on armature and animations this process became much worse. Godot crashes whenever I make a change to an animation in Blender.
I did use this method of importing however I'm encountering a weird bug whenever I update the models the model will show up in the center of every scene idk why or how it uncommon but it does occur and its annoying so I close and reopen the project and that is issue is resolved... (The model will not having collisions) any idea on why this might be happening?
@@ArcaneEnergy sorry I don't have comments showing in my notifications on... my apologies about not responding in a while its not that though... here's how it goes I import the model I add the collisions it works fine I add it in the main scene , I go back to blender I update the model and for some reason a duplicate of that model will exist in every scene in the center , I didn't duplicate it , it doesn't have collisions... mind if you tell me the version you're using at the moment maybe the issue was resolved by godot thats why you never encountered it!
That was my first thought. Try updating your Godot and see if it still occurs. I usually use the latest version (currently 4.3 beta: godotengine.org/article/release-candidate-godot-4-3-rc-1/)
I've rarely posting comments, but this niche video is so efficient in explanation and so important for gamedev. Thanks for making it bro!
Honestly. Very good video. I appreciate the music attacking me and keeping me engaged (I do mean this as a literal, genuine compliment.)
Thanks for your tutorials. I will support when you will do a book in the same spirit
music far too loud
Make it louder

Great video ❤
Learned a lot thanks
Very interesting tutorial, with quick focus on the core of the topics. Just one remark, the music is really weird, and too loud.
What's the background music???
My materials only appear white when I import like in the video. Anyone know why?

Click on the imported model inside Godot and check if the textures are imported

Open your 3D file in Blender and then click File => External Data => Pack Resources.

So (dot)blend works better thank gltf conversion.

Mmm... check your pivot points. Otherwise might be some cache error. Try deleting the ".godot" folder in your project. It will reimport everything

i did everything and the assets cant load in godot, even though the path is correct and everything
too
i love u
Your video is cool, but music is too lood
yes
MUSIC TOO LOUD
The music is hilarious, dont listen to the heathens. Make your tutorials' soundtracks even more jarring
Sure, ending up looking like an amateur in video edition is HILARIOUS... /facepalm
@@psyboyo A memorable amateur that gave me a good chuckle? Hell yeah
Please don't put BG music in tutorial videos.
