Years ago I was asked if I could fill in one Sunday at another church in town. I'm not a pastor, I was a deacon at my church. The lady who asked me gave me a little background on their struggles and was compelled to say okay.
I spoke on prayer and every few minutes I would pause to let someone pray. I had warned them I would do this. After 20-30 seconds and just when I thought noone would Debbie would stand and pray. This happened, if I recall, 4 times. Debbie, the lady that asked me was the only one who prayed.
About 6 months later I was led to find a new church(long story). So I went to a start up EV Free church and there was Debbie.
