Best ever lesson of life . . All my respect for the movie maker.l am sure that all those don`t like this video are coming from other planet , a frozen one . . Ya sas apo Romania. Hello from Romania .
People don't realize how important this is and how lucky are those who had fathers like this... My father was never there for me, this almost makes me cry >.>
An amazing short film that shows youth of today how caring our elders are. We've lost too much respect for them in the past ten years. Thanks for the great film and message.
This made me cry. My mother has dementia, and repeats questions constantly. At times, it is hard to hold on to patience. Thank you for putting me in my place.
I was so much cried about this film. The love of a old father and the son is shown here . But his son takes time to know his father's great love. This film gives us a important experience and moral
To have had a father that loved his son like the father in this short but powerful movie would have meant the world to me. It made me cry to see a father who loved his son despite his son’s questioning. I had a father that didn’t care, who made me feel like an idiot every chance he had. I would have been a different person had my father shown just a bit of love or gave me a simple hug. I have sought that kind of love all of my life. The past 77 years I’ve searched for just a simple hug from a loving man.
No one knows what they have until its too late... even though many videos will open our eyes for a few seconds, the reality doesnt hit us until our parents are truly gone... RIP Dad, i know youre watching over us, but I just cant help but cry when watching this video, I really miss you....
I don`t have father....yet either no memory at all...........Because of he was past away as soon as I born.....after that my mom who also past three years ago....she never ever get remarry with anyone.....so my life has past more than 50 years without FATHER in which maybe sad however was my fate....After wacthed this video simply made me tears and moved....Wishing had such beautiful affection from father...Don`t get mad to children who you were ....Don`t yelling to old people who you will be............
I loved my father very much and I know he loved me and my siblings, but he never showed it outwardly. Only when my mother passed away, did he start to show that true love. He would hug and kiss us, something he seldom do when we were younger. He's been gone for 10 years now and I miss him very much. This video is quite emotional and I'm trying not to cry, but I can't stop thinking of him as I watch this lovely piece of work. GOD BLESS!!!! you Dad. I love you.
I cry every time I watch this video. No matter how many times I too always forget to be extra patient with my father Nicholas. That is a curse I have to break. "What is that?"
When I watched this 10 years ago I was alone studying 2nd year in dormitory. I had a beef with my father and I cried watching this video. But now after I worked for 6 years, I have seen so many that wasted my time and efforts, and encountered too much people who are too ignorant to be patient with. I felt nothing special watching this video again. What the world has turned me into.
It is very touchable. I will never ever talk to my dad like that. Eventhough, the clip made me cried :( It very sad how we start treating our parents in our time
First time I saw this I was randomly checking clips and it came to this and I watched it... I couldn't belive I almost started crying at the end. I got so moved by it.
I am caring for my wheelchair bound, hard-of-hearing, and almost blind 90 year old mother. I watch this short film periodically to remind me that the gift of time and patience is all she really wants. The message of the film crosses all cultural differences we all may have. Thank you.
I was sented this by a friend. Today Dad would have been 83 today I lit a candle for him. I would have loved to kiss him like this young man did. I miss you Pop..(4 yrs already).
Young children learn from the parents, by repeated words, actions, connections; later they will have the chance to repay their parents in kind. This is a beautiful example of life and love. Thank you!
I hope the person who made this video realises how many lives he's changed and how many people who have watched this video have gone on to hug their father immediately after watching this. thank you.
This just show how can a human be ungrateful at times, yet it's takes a litle courage to show them examples to let them realize and brought them on the right way, a very relistic image of the humanity, thanks for the advice, because i see this as one . . . thanks too for the wisdom of this posting .
My father may not have much time to live. I get irritated with him about the smallest things all the time. My dad doesn't show emotion at all, so its hard to tell what's really going through his head. This video made me realize how I act towards my dad, and made me remember that he may not have much longer to live. Thankful that my video made me think of him.
Very touching, brought tears in my eyes... I lost a wonderful father a few months ago.... He suffered from Altzheimer disease. A model father, he taught me how to bring up my own children with love and understanding....
I speak first hand of both of my parents who suffered through dementia before they passed. The son expresses anger at his innocent father as a little boy might do. He is angry mostly at himself for being angry at his father, he is angry at his father for his incapacity to be the father he once was, he's angry at the world for it's indifference, and he is angry at God for the painfully slow death he and his father must endure. Finally when the son reaches my age and his father is gone he will think of his father every day and mourn him daily.
My mother used to tell me as my parents age, they regress to infancy. I never had the same patience as my parents showed me, and I regret it to this day. Even if I could go back and tell myself this lesson, I don't think I had the wisdom to heed my own advice. Only a few are lucky to be this wise; the rest of us suffer in regret.
Not many things move me as much as this moved me. My son is 22 and shows the same kind of impatience and self-absorbed mindset as the young man in this video. I do love him unconditionally, but the love is not often returned. Thanks for rekindling my sense of what love is all about.
I don't know where to start but, i am a very COLD-HEARTED person..i feel no emotion. I haven't cried for more than 8 years now. This makes me feel very sad and all of my tears that have been hiding for all this years, it all bursts out. IM CRYING FOR ALMOST AN HOUR NOW. I've been repeating this many times. This is video is a piece of art. Everyone should watch it. You can express your true feelings and emotions when you watch this.
The best interpretation I've seen is that the book is a diary detailing the patience that the father had with his son and he is demonstrating that his son is not returning the consideration. If you think "there is nothing to this video" I will pray for someone to deliver you compassion
Very touching video :(, I was like this to my dad when he just wanted to start a conversation Now I am in studying in university thousands of miles away from my family and I just cant wait to go back and make it up for my dad miss u

Sorry you had to go through that. Lucky indeed.

It's so easy to forget the crap our parents had to put up with when they raised us
I cry every time I watch this video. No matter how many times I too always forget to be extra patient with my father Nicholas. That is a curse I have to break. "What is that?"
it is a wake up call for all fathers and sons. now i became a good father and a good son too.
What a message to us all !!! Hope this will touch as many hearts, minds and souls as possible...
This is such a beautiful story and the message is so simple: love is patient and love is kind!
This video makes every one think of how loving are our parents and how loving should be us to them.
When I watched this 10 years ago I was alone studying 2nd year in dormitory. I had a beef with my father and I cried watching this video. This is one of the most sensitive things I have ever watched. I watch this video from time to time to remember this important message!
This is so adorable! I totally love the part where the son became speechless and hugged his father... :'D
It is very touchable. I will never ever talk to my dad like that. Eventhough, the clip made me cried :(
It very sad how we start treating our parents in our time

Thank you for this! And you know what? My 14 years old son showed it to me. There is a hope in our youth...
very touching piece, really a lesson for me, I love my dad, and my mom too
This was beautiful. My mom had dementia. This brought tears as I remembered. But this ending was so beautiful.
This hits me, this is what I am dealing with. Once an adult and twice a child. Please always allow me to remember this. Instant tears.
So much is said in a short time. The film is simple and deep, powerful and gentle. I'm happy I found it.

Fantastic video. I also noticed the turtle taking a stroll in the background. Lovely creatures.
Always respect your parents! They love you unconditionally.
