Πολύ κρίμα που ερημώνουν τα χωριά, τα νησιά μάς κ οι παιδικές χαρές είναι άδειες κ γεμάτα τα νεκροταφεία.
Κυρίως Αίσχος πού το κράτος δεν βοηθάει τους εναπομειναντες κατοίκους αλλά τους κόβει κ βασικές παροχές όπως γιατρό μανάβη καλά Μην πω γι ασθενοφόρα κ νοσοκομεία.
Αυτή είναι η αλήθεια μάς.

At 4:59. "And make people think we're some kind of prostitutes." In my native greek language it sounded so much better. We laughed and laughed. Its the best line in the film. Well done ladies.
I've watched this a few times now to help with my Greek learning and it's just so charming. I'd love to see more of these characters' lives. Everyone fits their role so well!

There's a lot of truth in this film the Greek people are very similar to the characters in the movie
It is an idyllic type of life and I think the movie captures the essence of that
The filmology the way the scenes are portrayed is artistic and I complement the cameraman and camera Director

I really like this movie! The characters are perfect and the storyline is so nice and elegant. I wish there was a transcript of the Greek speaking parts somewhere, so that I could read it and speak the Greek parts with the characters. Thanks @linguatree for recommending this movie to watch :)

My village in a mountain in Kefalonia, the bus stopped coming. The bus passes through the next village at 6 in the morning to go to the capital and 3 in the afternoon to return from there. As in this film, there are more people in the cemetery than in the village and that's why there are no shops.
Ι am from Kefalonia too! If you live in a village and you don't own a car there is no way to go to hospital in case you need it!

This is such a delight! The script, the direction, the cinematography, the actors! Each aspect of this little jewel is brilliant. I must have watched it at least 10 times and have sent this link to many others to enjoy. The dialogue, the action is timed to perfection, not a word too much or two little; the three old women switching from black to colors that they realized they actually enjoyed, to the prospect of the couple pondering increasing the population themselves! Little movements meant so much more. Just a warm, wonderfully delightful film by a brilliant and truly gifted filmmaker and script writer. I can't praise this enough.
I like this. I can understand many Greek words. The foreinguer gave more life to the city.

That’s a very nice short film, however there is no such thing as a population limit below which you are cut off from essential services. It does make a premise of an interesting story, but the truth is that any village no matter how remote even with only one person living there, there will be some sort of providing services.

This could have been made into a full length movie and I really like the characters
Nothing changed regarding the post !! lt takes two weeks for a letter/ small parcel from the UK to my village in Crete !!! lf not longer !! lf the postman could be bothered to deliver it ! lt travels by Jet in 5 hours to Athens !! Sits there for days and days !!! Then get's put on a Donkey to Pirearus port then put on a banana boat / fishing boat via all the islands !!! Arrives in Heraklion - sits there for another 5 days ,gets put on the slow bus via all the villages to Chania !! The finally gets put back on a donkey to go up the steep hill to my village !! Then gets delivered by the postman to someone else because he's to lazy to find the right address !! One letter last year took 4 weeks !!!!!
Is there a Greek transcript somewhere?? It would help a lot to know the exact Greek words being spoken.

This is nothing to admire. This is a sell out of a short film. Usually when people sell themselves and their culture they do it quietly, in alleys. They are poor but honest.
