When Alfredo Germont sings the duet "Parigi, o cara" with Violetta Valéry at her deathbed, in which both dream of a common but unreachable love, this is one of the emotional highlights in Giuseppe Verdi's opera LA TRAVIATA.
Listen to the Russian soprano Ekaterina Siurina and the American tenor Charles Castronovo - privately, incidentally, a married couple! They are accompanied on the grand piano by Christopher White. Dramaturge Jörg Königsdorf will speak introductory words.
