- It's trial by fire for this VLOG! I wanted to see the off-road capability of the Raize so I took our brand new Toyota Raize 1.0L Turbo CVT to the trails of Camp Boa. Needless to say, the Raize was not built for off-road trails like this so the whole experience was very scary, but a lot of fun! I hope you enjoyed watching!

Naranasan ko din na idaan yung Raize G ko last week sa somewhat off road terrain kasi niligaw kami ni waze since hindi namin kabisado yung daan ahahaha at grabe nasurvive nya ung sobrang maputik, mabato at mejo mabaha na daan. Kabado pa ako habang nagdadrive since new driver lang but the car survived, wala din damage sa engine since yun talaga concern ko dahil wala syang engine cover. Unplanned adventure with raize that made me realized that the car is worth it! Lalo ako tuloy na-obsessed sa kanya ahahahaha! Thank you for this great content! For sure because of this tataas pa lalo demand sa raize ahahaha

With proper mods, the Raize could probably handle mild offroad scenarios, but its unibody construction will be the most prohibitive attribute.
Yes thats right. I think it would be good for overlanding only. Not outright off-roading
actually just ground clearance matter. just increase suspension height if go off-road.
Since it's a non-LSD, momentum is really a good friend for the raize when it comes to off-roading

Hi...I liked your vids, especially with the Toyota Raize, as I myself has one. I have a question that I hope you can assist. I live in the Caribbean and I got my Toyota Raize, Z Trim (Used) from Japan. In my infortainment, I have Apple Car Play and SDL (SDL for DH) installed. The Apply Car play works with my iPhone, so I have no issues with navigation as I use the Waze app. But for the SDL for my wife's Android phone, in the SDL app, there's no navigation app that works for my country, as the only one that SDL uses is NaviTime, and that is for Japan. For your Raize, what Navigation app you use and what app that you think will work for me. Thanks for any assistance you can give and I await more of your Raize vids, keep up the great work!
I just use AndroidAuto on mine and Apply Carplay for iPhones. We use Waze of Google Maps for navigation.

Last Friday, nilusong ko sa baha ang toyota raize ko and my plate number got lost. 😢
For car owner’s, extra careful po kung lulusong. Hindi po biro magayos ng requirements.
Ako rin last Friday lang. Sa amin naman nayupi pataas yung plate no. mga 90 degrees from plate holder, naging letter L. Buti sa amin yung plaka may washer sa likuran ng bolt, at mahigpit yung kabit, kung hindi sa bilis ng sugod ko sa baha, baka natangay din yung plaka namin. SUV sa amin 2017 Isuzu MU-X 3.0 4x2 AT, stock lang, medyo fast approach din ginawa ko para hindi tumirik, tapos napafull stop din sa dulo dahil sa jeep sa unahan ko, yun pala lampas nung kanto na yun, sa unahan may umaatras na. (Leon Guinto street cor. Quirino)
Grabe mga baha sa Maynila, ang lalim lalo na sa Leon Guinto lampas ng Quirino, J. Nakpil, Gen Malvar, at Sta. Monica, nakakatakot lalo nung ako lang dumadaan, 1st time ko lumusong sa ganun kalalim na baha, tapos may salubong pa sa 2 way, lakas ng talsik ng wave ng kasalubong, akala ko mamamatayan na ako ng makina nun nung nag full stop na sa baha, lalo na hindi ko matantsa yung lalim ng baha.

Raize Turbo has really good torque so advantage yun sa Baguio and any other high elevation area. I would choose the Raize Turbo over Yaris Cross kung everyday Baguio driving

My scenario is different , off road to me is not water, it's gravel with worse crocation and hard stones on surface of the road .. shaking the whole car into pieces! ..
Sa Japan may 4x4 version ng Raize, try mo e convert into JDM Spec.
Iba yung pang ilalim ng 4x4 na Raize hahaha. Masyadong wild and unpractical na iconvert to 4x4

Small cars can go off-road like this easy.. many are just afraid to do so in fear they will break it but they forget how robust cars are built now. The raize can handle things many would only take a 4wd on, you just need to know its limits and how to correctly drive it.. edit: after watching, you do not know how to drive offroad😂 go slower you’re too afraid

Same experience with crossing water and almost with the plate no. just last week Friday, but with the real plate no., not the conduction sticker/temporary plate. Our plate no. almost got ripped off by the floodwater when I was wading through with a little speed, as I was afraid that it would get into the engine, since it was my 1st time experiencing driving in that high floodwater.
Good thing we placed a washer under the bolt years ago, and good thing it was tight, if not, our plate would have been gone. Our plate was like 90 degrees from the bolt after the flood, shaped like an L. I was wondering why 2 people crossing the flood were looking at the front of the car and pointing, and I only saw it when I got home.
It was my 1st time crossing so many flooded roads in Manila, I've crossed some low floods before, but last Friday was higher, it was already reaching below and above the stepboard, and I felt it under the car, I saw the water level when I looked outside the window. The alternator was just a bit higher than that i think, since our 2017 Isuzu MU-X 3.0 4x2 AT (all stock), only has a 600mm water wading depth.
After watching this video, parang gusto kong ipalit yon fortuner ko.. 🤣
