Garmin restores by painting its a monumental day for the channel. Painting more then crafting and actually praising the work instead of telling us how bad he is at painting!!! Love the results and agree with so many others this needs to be a full restoration of Garmie's box of childhood memories!!!
"DRY TIME!" Sums up the feeling when you realize you have to wait. Beautiful colors on the stone; mud looks...well, convincingly muddy. Nice product. Great project. Really answers the question: To keep, or not to keep, that is the question! Salvage what's worth saving but also learning to let go makes things clean and simple.
You did it! You did "DRY TIME!" lol Dry time is the most annoying part of this hobby and you manage to make me laugh about it! Now when ever I have to wait for something to dry I say "DRY TIME!" also! It doesn't seem to help when it's something like glue and I have to wait 24 hours! lol Good job repurposing old stuff! I was wondering how you were going to 'fix' the snow! You sir are an artist! It turned out great! Two thumbs dude!
This just came up in my feed. I enjoy your videos but this one in particular was a delight. I’m struggling right now with the politics going on and this warmed my heart!!! Thank you for this video.
Garmin I love "Dry Time" ❤️ That was a wonderful video, nice to see some of your history, very touching. Your a better painter than you give yourself credit for.
Another benefit of dry brushing with just a slightly damp brush the paint doesn't "chalk" nearly as much as it is prone to do when using a bone dry brush.
OMG.. I know I sound like a fan boy, but I'm looking at the exact same bridge on my shelf!!.. I bought it at Walmart (or Michaels) I think, my wife borrows if for the Christmas village I crafted for her..LOL...which means, I can't change it like yours.. Awesome video!
@@StorycraftSociety I have to find a few pieces, but I might use it as is spanning a large river. “Okay, the bridge is broken, but there’s a boat on the other bank. What would you like to do? Also don’t forget you have an armed war party coming after you.” Something like that
Neat makeover, I really like how it turned out. Are those plastic building parts in the boxes Plasticville houses? Hacksaw's hobby bunker has a bunch of videos doing those up if you want ideas for those, though he's mostly into post-apocalyptic sci-fi.
Excellent video! But I have to say, that Citadel colors have the most ridiculous names ever. To me, they don't mean anything. They might as well be called like "Bibbidi Bobbidi Blue", "Hi Ho Silver" or “Yippee-Ki-Yellow"...

Haha I suppose this is a bit of a first isn’t it!? And I’m giving real consideration to pulling out some other stuff in there.
First!! Lol. Thats some great treasure you pulled out of the attic.. Love the content
Thank you!
You have got to redo some of the other stuff!! What a great find from your childhood!! Bridge looks awesome!!!
Thank you! And I’m debating repurposing some more of this stuff!

Very true! Thank you!

OH MY GOD GLUE IS THE WORST!! And thank you!
Please keep doing the "Dry Time" bit. It's great, and I feel it so much! Also, these last two up-cycling/found goods videos have been great.
Thank you!
Your birch tree and that little bird are perfect
Thank you!
What a cool find! The bridge turned out great!!
Thank you!

Always fun to find stuff you had as a kid.
Isn’t it!?

Thank you! I’ll admit I’m my own worst critic.
Bridge looks really good. But I like the little stonewalls, too.
Thank you!

Hahaha. I like the dry time bit way too much.
Thank you!
Really nice upgrade. Looking forward to the future delving into those boxes. Still gonna call you Garman, though.
Dryyyyy tiiiiime! Always a pain
Haha I appreciate it! And thank you!
This turned out great - I've repurposed a few things from Michael's before but nothing this big. Nice to see you've committed to the Van Dyke beard!
Thank you! And I haven’t committed to it THAT much, it’ll be gone soon enough, I’m just experimenting.

Oh no way!! That’s awesome!!
You should rehab that foam bridge.
Haha it’s on the docket for sure!
Young Garmie ‘…it’s okaaaaay…’
Lol
First of all I’m pretty sure I had that same train set! Second of all, you should try to repurpose a bunch of those!!
I think EVERYONE our age had that train set, also that’s the plan!
I found an old “fairy garden” stone bridge that looked very similar to that, but unfortunately the kiddos some how broke it to pieces.
Oh that sucks! Could you glue it back together?

Ruble!
You should do a video rehabbing lll of these
It’s definitely on the docket!

Was that a N scale or O scale train set in the attic?
I have to say, I'm kind of surprised that you don't remember this stuff.
Haha, it was a long time ago and I’ve crafted ALOT of stuff since then!
