For a while with the CJ series and older Cherokee sorts with the iron block 256 inline 6 they were super bullet proof and simple. They had some quirks here and there. Now they are luxury vehicles. Pffffft

I used to drive Mahindra Jeep few decades back in Himalayan area. This vehicle has done India pride as well as it served us Indians back then . Happy to see adventurous young liking it. Believe me Mahindra and most of our products are as dependable as are our women.

Awesome little rig man. Loving the new Roxor platform. Only wish they made them street legal but still super fun no doubt. The upgrades make me wonder how long the clutch and surrounding parts will hold up to the new found power. Would like to see a full range acceleration test.
So mahindra has detuned the engine to play as a slow off-roader and avoid all the compliance which means there is a lot of room for retuning for performance and speed.. it gives u a good base platform to build on

Don't forget to get the intake manifold hold down. Without it the boost on the turbo blow the rubber gasket up, and your boost air leaks out. A safety system turns your turbo off.

There's a couple that socialize at a local establishment that have put both a 1st gen Chevy II and a Corvair body on Roxor frames and have a blast in them! They are cool as hell! 👋😎👍
My OCD would require an EGT sensor and gauge to be 100% comfortable with adding that kind of power to it though. Now you just need water methanol injection for it haha!
Believe me, it bothers me too not knowing. I would at least like one on there temporarily to know when its met its limit and to back off. Luckily the type of work or riding this thing will be doing will be power delivery in very short bursts. Not lengthy redlined
Red, White, & Roxor I would imagine that when they did there dyno testing/tuning that they would had to monitor EGT numbers but it’s always nice to know for those of us that worry about it. I think I’d be very careful towing anything with it but like you said, most people will be doing short power bursts. Awesome video! Keep them coming.
I went from 3.73 to 4.56 gears in my Jeep with 4.0 and it made a huge difference (without the power tune such as yourself) I say gear it and hang on tight. Lol
@@mattcerbone4313 I run 75 down the highway daily at around 2800 rpm. I gained my top end back.. as i went to 33" tires and with the 3.73 gears, i was lucky to get 65 flat footed.
Compare this with the Polaris and Honda. Now that its elevated, powere and front fender lifted, it should do better. In the last that I saw on youtube, the Roxor failed comparitively for the reasons I listed, especially in very rough trails with part ice and melt slush terrain.

They need to go on and put you on the payroll , cause i been looking hard at them 😖😉🤣 Just a little tip , boost won't build reving , engine has to be under load , so hoses will only blow off when you're driving , unfortunately . Go ahead and look at stainless diesel or thoroughbred diesel for proper boost clamps to seal your leaks . Nearly all systems leak , and pressure test with gauge will show it while it's not running .

There are tool companies that make hose clamp pliers. They’re not the cheapest but are worth it if you deal with clamps like that a lot. I hate those kind of clamps myself. They can be a pain in the ass if you don’t have the right pliers.
Believe me guys from my personal experience the Mahindra engines are superb .. only problem with this roxor ( Thar as Indian version ) is turning radius

Roxor is Thar Di without doors and windshields .2500cc 63 bhp 190 NM torque.Solid axles in front and Leaf springs at both ends. Tye second was THAR Crde with 2.5 L Common rail direct injection engine with 105 Bhp and 250NM torque, soft top with Aircon ,IFS, leaf springs in the rear. The dimensions were slightly more than DI. I own THAR Crde 2019 model, the last unit from the factory.its BS4. Awesome 4x4 vehicle. Recently in Sep2021,I participated in an annual The Palar Challange and won trophy in the Stock Catogery. Google the palar challange to know about this annual event.

This is a pretty clean tune, I dont know any diesel pre-emissions that doesnt smoke with heavy throttle! It only does that with crazy pedal. And yes he has a less aggressive tune called the performance tune. It's I think a 20hp gain over stock. Thanks!
Red, White, & Roxor I understand that much but my argument with it is the overall structure of the vehicle is significantly safer than a motorcycle. They can easily add the trivial things like a horn and signal lights, and even tune the engine to meet emissions I’m sure. People ride motorcycles without helmets all day long and a fully steel vehicle with basically a roll cage as standard stands less of a chance of being street legal than a motorcycle. It just doesn’t seem logical in the slightest sense of the word. Our laws here are fairly ridiculous. If these were road legal, they would be selling like hot cakes and bringing in revenue for the states they would be tagged in as well.

They had to tune it that way to meet emissions, my 2.8l diesel made 214hp and 400+ tq at the wheels, so a 75hp 2.5l is definitely under performing.

Perfect power 100 hp 200 torque 4:11 would be good too
It needs a homegrown compound turbo setup and studs. Keeps the egts low and you can throw even more fuel at it

I honestly think mine rides better than stock. And has more flex by far, if I was running a real tire with lower air pressure it would be very smooth
