As a paraglider pilot with 1000 hours and doing my conversion to sailplanes now, watching this is all the motivation I need to continue to get through the theory and training.
I which more people could experience how it feels, gliding into the sunset after battling thermals all day - it is such a rewarding feeling.

I recommend you to fly just paragliders. This is ba far the best way to fly and no paperwork, no hangar cost etc!!!

What an impossibly beautiful landscape. It’s like flying in Eden. Maybe you can talk about what goes into planning a trip to Bitterwasser? Shipping the sailplanes, permits, etc.

Ventus 3 kann man in ruhigen Bärten auch mal etwas langsamer kurbeln, bei 600kg am besten in L, aber die Meinungen gehen da teils auseinander. Jedenfalls ein schöner Flieger, wenngleich ich den eher als Allrounder bezeichnen würde und jetzt nicht unbedingt optimiert auf die totale Bolzerei in Namibia
Super and inspiring video! I am surprised that you needed to thermal the V-3 M as fast as 125+kph at 600kg. I am always impressed by how well mine climbs when flying as slowly as possible e.g. 97-100kph at 525Kg

In times we have thermal conditions like you have currently in Namibia when flying our RC gliders, I always like to state that this kind of flying is „non-sportive“. Means; too easy, no risks, no challenge, 😜😜😜
