Seeing MySims was such an nostalgic trip for me. I didn’t have the Taco Bell version, but I had the original PC release. I played that almost every day.
I watched the SpongeBob vid and loved it, but this vid gives me a certain kind of feeling. I miss this age of marketing and video games because it didn’t feel so corporate, as in trying to capitalize as much as possible. Obviously most of the games have themes of their respective restaurants, and are trying to please a younger audience and make life long customers, but it doesn’t feel malicious. Maybe it’s because of the recent rise in social media and technology, so every company is really fighting for attention. Anyway, I’m not gonna rant anymore. Loved the vid man ❤
You should absolutely continue making videos, they are chilling me out for a reason I cant explain, mabye its nostalgia, mabye its your chill way of presenting your content, either way keep it up!
I'm so happy you mentioned the hand-held Sonic games from McDonald's. I swear I've been gaslighting myself for years because no one I've talked to about them seem to know what I'm talking about. I was like, "No. I KNOW I had these. Specifically the Sonic and Tails one." I feel so validated now 😂
I had the Crash Bandicoot ones, specifically the snowboard game and the jet ski one too. The jet ski one was based on one of the Game Boy Advance Crash Bandicoot games.
I mean you could have just googled them. There were a couple of versions. But I loved those sonic games. I really wanted shadow but never got it in my meal lol
I can't believe you covered the floppy disk Taco Bell games. I thought it was too obscure for anyone to know about it. I had the bean game. Btw, your videos are so tasty.
About McDonald's. I remember I had played a flash/web browser game as a kid. It were basically you controlling a McD restaurant and needing to make burgers and give it out to the custormers. The hint of it was also that you could go "back stage" to grow and feed cows which were then made intro beef that was used in the burgers. I cant remember the name, nor do I think it was an official McD game. But it was heavily based of McD. I mean heavily. Like to the colour combinations, the mascot and so on. I really wish if I could find that one and play it again XD
Hidden gem of a video honestly. Wouldn't be surprised if your channel blew up in a few years (Think I already said something like this on the Minecraft tutorial world video, but I may be wrong.)
McDonald’s has a lot more games online, MMOs, disc games like these, web games etc. Used to really love the McDonald’s MMO online, would love to see a video on them.
something you maybe could cover one day are the mcdonalds dragons and fairies games i vivibly remember those comming in plastic cd cases that cracked open like eggs ? those were pretty cool never seen anything about those in years
MySims was amazing way back when i was a kid. I used to look all around each map looking for all the little collectibles and furniture that sims would ask for. i miss it.
I remember when we used to get video games in cereal boxes as well and really good ones to like tony hawks pro skater for 1 and matt hoff man bmx and Timon and pumba pinball lol
This reminds me of the cereal games(mostly demo games but still) and I specifically remember Desperados, Lucky Luke, Astrix and Obelix and another game which was about a kid whose dog was kidnapped and then he went to another planet with these aliens who would literally eat and or shred him apart if they got him.. very graphic lol.
the reader rabbit game actually has a full series dedicated to different ages/education levels! i know three of them at least (apparently there's more) and they were so fun to play when i was a kid. honestly i could legit play them again
As a kid there was a set of kids meal toys at Burger King for the 2003 X-Men Evolution cartoon that gave you an action figure and a CD-Rom computer game that had several X-men mini games on it.
I got the Taco Bell My sims game when I was a kid. My family didn't own a computer. . I got this game in 3rd grade and was only able to play it in 6th grade. At any point I could have accidentally missplaced or broke it, but I held on to it because it I knew I'd one day get a chance. And it was cool pretty cool. Miss it.
I remember here in Australia McDonalds teamed up with Knowledge Adventure/Jumpstart way back in the day, and you could get 1 of 3 Jumpstart games with your Happy Meal. It was a pretty rad deal, especially if you were into those games

Pets Dogz II actually is not similar to the remaining titles at all, it’s an RPG in development for kids at Ubisoft and the marketing team said “Pivot it for the Petz Dogz brand”. And… It’s actually a hit sleeper title in my book! I had endless hours exploring the world in late Middle School when my younger sister got scared of the big baddie (a wolf). Again, an absolutely underrated gem of a kids RPG for the Wii
Before Taco Bell discontinued their Kids Meals they gave out 4 Different Atari Arcade Games on CD. I got 3 of them as I only couldn't find Lunar Lander myself.
In germany they had a treasure planet game in McDonalds Kids Meals when that movie came out, and it was one of my favorite games for like 3 weeks! It was simple, but fun and i loved the treasure planet :D
3D ultra minigolf adventures was my jam. I didn't know taco bell had a version! Wow that would be awesome to have now. I probably wouldn't have cared back then though.

Interesting stuff 👍 I don't think we had these promotions in the UK, though Wendy's, Tacobell & Chick Fil A weren't in my region in the 90s. At McDonalds we had tiny, two-button SEGA consoles with Sonic & Super Monkey Ball themed games. They were fun for kids
My most memorable one, and probably the only one is the one i got from a Nesquik Cereal back in the day, a game called Tachyon The Fringe (though in my case it was half-assedly heavily localized by a company called 1C(if you know you know) and named "Cruel Stars" instead). Then after a couple decades or so finally bought it on steam and re-experienced it with the original legendary voice acting by Bruce Campbell(The guy voice the protagonist of the game, some people probably heard him as the tutorial narrator in some old games such as Spider Man series). It wasn't a demo disc or anything, mind you, a full game.
