Thanks Nancy! Took your advice and haven't touched the Never Ending Flower Shawl. Wearing it out this morning for our monthly Out & About Hook Along! Let's see. xx!
Last week I was looking for the marrocan tile stitch and tumbled across your chanel (via your beautiful blue/white bag). Now I’m watching your vlogs to catch up. I like your chanel a lot, watch it with a cup of tea. :) I’m from the Netherlands and started crocheting a few months ago, so still a lot to learn.
Just found ur vlogs & have really enjoyed the ones I have watched so far. I have been watching Creative Grandma's stitch of the week videos & they have been very helpful. Looking 4ward 2 watching more of ur videos.
Hello from Canada, Manitoba to be exact. Spending the winter trying to stay warm and crochet on my lap is perfect. Stumbled across your vlog a couple weeks ago and have been catching up. Really enjoying and looking forward to trying some of your projects. Thanks
Hi from Nevada, Just found your vlog. Never thought I'd find a crochet lover from Kenya. Your projects are so diverse, you've given me so many ideas. I'm guilty of starting new projects when I see a new idea, that I have several going at once. My New Year's resolution this year is to finish up all on going projects before starting anything new. Keep showing your wonderful ideas, I'll try to resist starting something new before finishing my tablecloth. Love your daisy blanket, it's definitely on my project list. Good luck with your vlog, your classes and your designing.
Thanks Karen! Your WIP goals are so admirable! I stuck to that for a week. Got two wips finished up. It felt nice! Now I'm knee deep in a bunch, but some I can only do under the camera for tutorials, so it feels like they don't count. ;) xx!
Your wips are very interesting and love that shawl. I wouldn't join it. Think it would lie better. And thanks so much for sharing the market tour. Very interesting.
Ok, so then just do as you said and add two more flowers, one on either side of the dark blue one and I'm pretty sure it will balance and look good that way. Its so pretty even without the extra flowers.
I am fairly new to your channel and I love it and you. You are so bubbly that it makes me want to crochet. I love the things you crochet and I love your yarn from Ice yarn and you are so adorable.
OMG I love this flower shawl and I love it just the way it is ... I don't think you need to add anymore, it looks amazing on you - so cheery!! I want to make one ... please please put the tutorial up !!!! Donna
I love all your videos. You have such a clear pronunciation, that I can understand everything, even if my english is not the best. 😊 I really hope that once I could go to africa, but I don't think so. I would love to try every tea and coffee and smell your axion paste like you allways do. 😂 I love your channel, your really beautyful children and everything you're crocheting, of course. Please show your birds. I allways hear them and my birds answer them. I send the best wishes to you and your family from cold germany.
Hello😁here is the grazy woman who is watching all your podcasts and leavind comments on 2 years old video's..but chrochet is timeless and I enjoy them all while crocheting away ( o.k and running after my kids, nursing my baby ect🤣)
Thanks Lucille! That's kind of you. Still wrestling with that one... or NOT wrestling with it! It's dressing up my mannequin until inspiration hits me again. ;) xx!
Hello Christa, just watching this again 😀 to look at the Daisy Granny Blanket Again 😀 I love love the blue cotton variegated yarn you was going to do the shawl in 💙 so beautiful 😁 I do not have much choice in cotton yarn in UK 😋 I can James C Brett but very limited colours & no variegated in it 😋. X
Looking forward to the tutorials. I kind of envy you, doing crochet as a business. We run two businesses unrelated to my hobby,so relaxing time is precious for crafting. It's lovely having someone in another country to learn new patterns from. Good luck with your next project.
Awe, thanks, Karen! I never thought of becoming a crochet instructor, but am SO very thankful life has pushed me in this direction. SUCH a blessing. Wishing you the very best in your endeavors too! xx!
i do so hope you post the flower shawl tutorial as you have already filmed it. we can get the technique down and the basic configuration process. I'd just love to crochet that! i've been sick in bed for a month and can hardly wait to get back to crocheting🤞🏼🙏🏼😃🧶🧶🧶
That was a lot of stairs you had to climb to get to the market place. Everyone seems so friendly. I want to make the blanket and the never ending flower shawl. And the road kill bunny scarf. I just need the yarn to do all that. The CAL shawl is very nice and I'm looking forward to making it. That is a lot of entries so far in the give away. My luck is no good I never win any thing but I would love to get Kenya yarn and coffee or tea. And I collect key chains so I would love a key chain from there. You are the best. A monthly give away sounds fabulous. Thank you for all you do. I love seeing your out and about videos.
Hi Christa, I am wondering if you have a tutorial for the road kill bunny. I searched UA-cam and your store and couldnot find th pattern or tutorial. Thanks for all your wonderful videos. ❤
BEST! I love geckos. We had one that lived in the office in our house... for like 3 years! We'd hear him chirping at night. He was almost like a pet! lol xx!
Hi there. I came across your channel a couple of weeks ago and you are so inspiring and funny and entertaining. Your channel has been been my “Netflix”..lol. You make me want to make everything you make. I will definitely be doing the cal but unfortunately i am immobile until mid April. But my first trip when i get mobile again will be to hunt a good yarn for the shawl. Awesome job on the channel and keep up the great work! Debbie
Hi Debbie! Sorry your laid up at the moment. That sucks! Do you have enough yarn on hand to keep you busy doing something? I hope so! Chat soon, Christa. xx!
Hi I am Carolyn from Australia. Found your vlogs last week. The yarns you have are great. Love all the bright colours you use. I love to crochet but it is only really cold in winter here so just for June July August. Even then the daytime temp can get up to 27c. Really enjoy the Kenyan news you give us. Did you find it hard to adjust when you first moved there? Looking forward to your next vlog
Hi Carolyn! We have the same seasons! Only "cold" here in July and August. My second year here was a bit rough - nothing to do - no where to go - no internet - $5/minute phone calls home, etc etc. I dove into my crafts, and the infrastructure improved SO much - now I would have a hard time moving back to the West!
I'm a newbie fan and am having SO much fun watching your vlogs! You make me laugh (I love your sense of humor) I adore your daisy granny square blanket, it made my heart happy ♥ Thanks for the smiles!
You're so welcome! I honestly think the daisy blanket is going to be my next project! It's so happy-daisies are my favorite flower, fav colors are purple and blue. I'm sure I can come up with something cute :)
@@SecretYarnery Hooked on watching your videos. Your laugh brightens my day :-). I have a totally boring job so watching you while I work makes the time go by faster. Still working on the Party Cardi. The whole work thing is interfering with my crochet time!
I found your channel yesterday morning and i didn't get anything done but watching your channel, haha. Your so addictive I love your channel and I love hearing about Kenya and Africa, I love your space it's so beautiful and relaxing, and I love the birds. I watched all 17 podcasts I could find hehe now it's like waiting for the next episode of your favorite show. Anyways your great and I love your podcasts.
Oh Kim - you're AWESOME! Thank you!! Next Vlog will be on Wednesday - I can't wait either, but trying to get some tutorials filmed as well... sticking to a "schedule" and all! YIKES! This will be my second week of doing that... felt great to get stuff done last week. Cross your toes! xx!!
Another awesome vlog! Loving Roadkill Bunny and the Daisy Blanket! Every time I watch one of your podcasts, my project list grows longer and longer. Hoping to join the March CAL if time permits. Thank you for showing us around town. I think I could easily spend hours at that marketplace. Have a great week! :)
I love these vlogs so much! I only found your vlogs a few weeks ago but I love seeing the journey of the crochet you make and the snapshots of life in Kenya! Thank you 😊
Yeah!!! A new vlog!!! Loved everything!! The bunny stole is just adorable with those long legs! Thank you for sharing Kenya with us!! Great idea for the CAL!!
I’ve been wanting to do the shawl vest that Annoo has on her channel so I will definitely be on board for the CAL. Thanks for showing us the market, how neat! I’ve been working on a cocoon cardigan out of scarfie yarn but it didn’t end up fitting the way I wanted so it’s been banished to a project bag in the corner
Yeah - those cacoon cardigans. Look so easy, but actually aren't that figure flattering. My next one will be made with a rectangle. I think that's the trick. ...April CAL? lol ;)
Has anyone told you how much you look like Meryl Streep? Even your mannerisms garlic hurts at times. I so enjoy your videos! I love the one with the Tulips if it's inspired me to do a blanket. Looking forward to the cal shawl also. 💖
So cute bunny scalf so lovely looking forward to seeing the finished piece 😍😍 love your granny square blanket as well so beautiful 💖 my grey love s listening to your birds in the background 😄😄 your tea sounds lovely to we drink Yorkshire tea here in England tea is my favourite cuppa in the afternoon your shawl really suits you beautiful colour s 💖😍😍 x
Loved everything you made and enjoyed your trip to the marketplace. I think two more flowers in the front will make the shawl perfect. Looking forward to your March CAL I just ordered self striping yarn in muted tones of the high desert for the shawl. Monthly giveaways would be great more changes to win! Just started the border on the tulip stitch blanket. For tutorials reverse single crochet or crocodile stitch.
I love your channel I discovered it today and,I love the shawl and the Road kill bunny scarf and the blanket. I love making shawls, scarfs, and blanket's. I never heard of silk yarn. I;m looking forward to watching all your videos. And learning from you. i love the out and about a lot of pretty things.
Tea and coffee and yarn😉 😃😃😃😃. I've just finished some charity hats for preemie babies and chemo children ( thank u for your lovely comments on Instagram (lynny5649) ) and now it's snowing like crazy and we r in the middle of a big freeze here so I'm making another blanket in dusky pink and cream, 2 strands together in Aran and a white shawl like the grey one I just did but this time in a baby dk, it's lovely and soft and drapes lovely. Loving your work and videos 😚😚😚❤ x
Oh how funny, I’m in Miami, Florida, I think we are the Gecko capital of the world. We have them year round and have to choo them away from the door, but they still somehow get in. We have a house about 25 minutes from the house we live in, since we don’t live there, we have an alarm system there. I’ll be darned if the geckos don’t get in there and set off the alarm (I shouldn’t mention it bc I may bring bad luck) on occasion.
Another super vlog! Your daisy blanket and how to join it was my first introduction to you 😊 Your road kill scarf reminds me of my Nanna's fox fur stole from a million years ago, but far cuter, it used to watch us kids 😂😂 BTW the blue, green and teal yarn over your shoulders are delicious, I want!! Two more flowers on the shawl should be good. Can't wait to see the finished product 😊
AWE! Love that daisy square blanket... everything about it. ...other than no border, of course! lol Blue Green and Teal yarns will be our March giveaway! Hope you win!! They are my faves too... I actually rearranged the shelves so they are dead center. Didn't realize they were dead center for the camera too! WIN! How's the kids? Mine just came home from school. Off to hear the stories! Chat soon, Christa. xx!
The Secret Yarnery my kids off school today due to we having snow here. Nothing major but we don't know how to deal with snow in Ireland and the place shuts down. We're also due a storm too called Storm Emma! Perfect crochet weather 😉
It's inspired by a scarf off of etsy, but then went rogue on round six and never looked back! lol www.etsy.com/listing/556126963/cat-scarf-crochet-cat-plush-chunky-shawl?ref=related-3
Hi from New Hampshire, I have been trying to find coral with black for my daughter, do u have any suggestions on where to find them, and my problem is when you start the chains mine are either to tight or t loose how should they be??
Hi Bonnie! For chaining, I use a hook that is 1mm or 2mm larger than the hook I will be using for the project. That works best for me. ;) Coral with black is so popular these days! Have you looked on Amazon? Chat soon, Christa. xx!
Hi, Dawn Lagana!! No I do not. But you can see my stash here secretyarnery.com/pages/yarn-1 and then click on the links to buy the same yarns I have directly - at the same prices I do! xx
Hi, from Texas! We get alot of geckos on the walls inside, too. But, not this time of year. Nice to meet you :D I so enjoyed this and the yarn behind you made me jealous!! As far as stitches I am always looking to see how other people change colors in colorwork. I have my way but I just love seeing other peoples variation. :)
Hi Melody! I was JUST watching your channel! I admire you having the courage to swap out and properly store the yarn you know you aren't going to be using soon. That must be helpful. :) Your IHOP Scarf is so neat! Well done! And your blanket - that is going to be a stunner! Can't wait to see it. Keep up the good work! Chat soon, Christa. xx!
Hi Lorinda! No I don't. It was a paid pattern on Etsy, that I stopped following after row 6 of the first leg. ha ha ha! But the pattern is well written and super cool. Lots of photos, etc. goo.gl/YnmTfd
I see you are shopping there in Kenya the necklaces are gorgeous. That would totally be awesome if it has the bracelet and the earrings to match. Wow wouldn't it be really nice if it was in your May giveaway. Thank you for reading to my suggestion I really enjoy your tutorials.
Angelias podcast is great, she must have an awesome networking ability. She's really taken off with her channel. We started vlogging on the same day, and she's becoming a sensation lol. Thanks for the info about Christy's crochet corner, I hadn't heard about this one yet. I really enjoy watching different people. So many talents! Enjoyed your podcast today, Christa. Have a great week, it's half way through already.
I love the shawl but cant say the name myself. I love coffee black. I drink tea if its not sweet. But im from the south so we drink tea on ice. Just a Mississippi girl.

Excellent! Hot Chocolate and Crochet! Dream day! What's on your hook?
Currently making a throw for my friend. Nothing major just 5 or 6 giant Granny squares together on the length, it's for her bed 😊
Smurfmummy I
Are you able to share your road kill bunny pattern I have 2 grandaughters that would love that
It's inspired by a scarf off of etsy, but then went rogue on round six and never looked back! lol

That works best for me. ;)
Coral with black is so popular these days! Have you looked on Amazon?
Chat soon, Christa. xx!
So this is so o,d...I want to see what you’ve done to that poncho.
We just bought a house in Florida with a pool in a bird cage and I love seeing the babies ♥️
Do you have your own set of yarns ? And do you sell it ? And where would we pay it
Hi, Dawn Lagana!!
Chat soon, Christa. xx!
Thank you for another great vlog! I'm currently crocheting an Easter marshmallow bunny stuffed toy. It's for my Etsy shop.
Do you have a pattern for the Road Kill Bunny scarf?
Hi Lorinda!

Thank you for the shout out. You said my name beautifully. I feel so happy. Keep up the podcast I look forward to it so much. 😍
It’s just my opinion but the flower shawl that you’re going to add Flowers I really like it just the way it is makes it unique
Oh Thanks, Viickie!! You're too kind. I don't know what I am going to do. But you have fueled my procrastination - which is awesome! xx!
I agree I think is awesome just like it is! would be so pretty over a lacy layered spring dress : ) very fairy flowery love it!
I can't say the name either! So now I am just faking it with as much confidence as I can muster. ha ha ha! CRAZY word, that one is. ;)
The Secret Yarnery sounds good to me. LOL...
Super ideas about giveaways! I would love to try tea from Kenya! Not lucky at winning!
Email me your mailing address, April - I can always drop some tea in the mail! Email me at secretyarnery@gmail.com BIG hugs! xx!
The chevron has always given me trouble, if I see something made with that stitch or pattern I just pass it up
On the list, Kim! On the list. Thank you!
No don’t take them off...they’re beautiful.
