Please bring the van back to life!!!! That’s a AAR-MRM road trip special
I’m with you on the 90’s cars and even the mid to late 80’s. Growing up they were the cars.
Many of a young maiden lost their innocence in such a van.
Wdym
@@RohanSanjithyou know exactly what he means, that was a PIMP mobile😂
temporary satisfaction... Unwanted children...
Distorted unhealthy feelings...
Pain and chaos...
It all comes with a price...
vanmandad approves - thumbs WAY up on the Ford Conversion van! You can easily remove that plastic housing with the cupholder to the right of the driver's seat to access the engine.
Great find Randy!!!!! 👍🇺🇲😎
Like older cars? Your not alone I'm sure. At 80 I remember these in the showroom and my daily driver is a 1984 Dodge B250 camper van with a raised roof. Who says you cant hold onto the past.
Big Al has that van !!! he loves it and it has the cb antennas on it with the old school curtains in on the windows
Honestly the fact that Shadow was in the good of shape is pretty amazing. Most of the time you see those Shaodws the clear coat is all peeled off or rusted away and unfortunately most were Automatics but the fact you found one in such good condition is impressive
My 93 Shadow was perfect
That Dodge that your parents had was likely a 1980s Dodge Charger Shelby. Was a 2 door hatchback with a turbo 2.2. (shoulda watched longer glad you found it 😁).
It was that or an Omni GLH
I figured he was talking about the ONI
Dodge Daytona carol Shelby edition, that's the only thing that would come to my mind randy!!
Like this so that Randy sees this!!
2 were in the movie The Wraith
Maybe a Dodge Shelby Charger?
Wasn't there a Shelby version of the Dodge Omni? I think he called it the GLH for goes like hell. I love car history and the people who made it.
The Shelby CSX was a rebranded Dodge Shadow with performance upgrades.
That was a trip down memory lane. My mom had a '84 Dodge Shelby Charger with a 2.2 4-cylinder, 5-speed manual. Red with the black and gray pinstripe interior. I had to ride in the hatch area more times than I can count. We moved from CT to Florida in that car.
OMG RANDY what a treasure trove of classics in this video!!! I REALLY hope you win the S10 Blazer, the Ford van, Dodge Shadow, AND the Saturn SC1 from the previous video!!!
It's time for Randy to have a big fleet of 80s & 90s classics! Maybe there's a film project being produced locally that needs these as background props or the main character's car! Sweet!
Definitely need that econoline Randy that van is beautiful for an 83.
I used to own a ford conversion van,, It was the most comfortable rig I ever drove on the highway,, The captains seats made it seem like you were driving your living room down the road,, It will not tire you out on a long drive,, :-)
The '83 van is sweet. 😊. I would definitely drive that for sure.
That’s why you and Big Al are some of my all time favorite Car UA-camrs. I love seeing cars I grew up with being given another chance at life.
Charger Daytona.... there was also the Omni GLH and the Omni GLHS (Goes Like Hell Some more)
I love seeing those old cars from the 1990's and you find them.😊👍
I get excited for old cars to... crazy how small cars was back in 80's and 90's
That's an ignition control module. Both of my 3rd gen camaros use the same as that.
The GMC is nice Randy. I believe you can pull the mileage off the ECU with a scanner. The 1987 Shelby Charger maybe 🤔?. Thanks for the 🎬🔥🚘👍. Salute Randy 😎✌️
I had a nice fully equipped '76 E 150 conversion van in College. That thing was a blast !! Many good times in the back between class breaks..😎 Also had the famous sign on the back. "If this van is rocking, don't come knocking".
That is hilarious 😂 😃 😄
What activities you did back in the van?
The Ford van brings back so many good and bad memories but mostly good despite the one time I almost drowned. My aunt had a black one and we used to load it up during the summer months and head to South GA to go swimming.
it isn’t surprising that someone who has a channel for rebuilding cars would love 90’s/80’s American cars, they are the perfect subjects for rebuilds.
Those square body blazers are really sharp. Especially the 2 door versions.
My 2nd car was a 94 Dodge Shadow. It was 2 door, yet not a hatchback opener like this one. Same color, however, that color was flaking off the hood & trunk back in early 2000's which was notorious for blue paint of this era. Just hearing it crank is nostalgic too to know how the engine sounds. Thank you. It's always a joy seeing you share these rare 90's vehicles.
My second car was a 1982 Dodge Rampage, which has the same engine. I bought it last May!
I should have waited until the end of this video, you found several interesting vehicles, it was quite a honey hole today
The conversion van brought back memories for me, but not good ones. We had a 1983 GMC G20 Compliment Conversion Van that we purchased new. The dealer assured us that it could tow our 3,5000 pound travel trailer without problem, and just from the standpoint that it was a 3/4-ton chassis the weight shouldn't have been a problem. While it came with a 2" receiver hitch, it was ill prepared for towing duty as we learned very quickly as many of the conversion vans of that era were. The conversion was very heavy, the truck had the base 307 cubic inch Oldsmobile V8 with Automatic Transmission and 3.09 rear differential -- as equipped, the van was doing well to motivate just the van and the six passengers that were often in the passenger compartment. We were happy to go back to a full-size, pre-final down-sizing Oldsmobile Delta 88 Roayale Brougham Luxury Sedan at the beginning of the 1985 model year, and I still have that car today.
Love the Ford vani had one 5 years ago good luck buddy
Randy get the Ford conversion van. I used to have a Chevy Astro conversion van that had 356k miles on it when i sold it. It was still running strong. There are times i miss it.
OMG RANDY what a treasure trove of classics in this video . Please bring the van back to life.
My parents bought a 90 Plymouth Sundance sedan years ago new. It was a nice car and both roomy and comfortable for a compact car. Good luck Randy on the brown shaggin wagon!!
If later you decide to bid on the Shadow that would be a cool little car to get running again, I share your affinity for the 90’s cars, you really can’t find many of those anymore and I bet you could win that one really easily
That was the year I graduated from high school. Also live only about 45 minutes from that school now.
Vary awesome selection indeed. Keep up the great work.
I found an old pic of my dad's 85 Ford econoline, remember getting this dark blue with running boards and aluminum racing style wheels, the alarm was a key in the fender, with captains chairs.
I remember back in the day.. longer than I want to admit.. my cousin had one of those vans.. either that or the Chevy.. don't remember.. But I do remember the cup holder missing and the hole went strait through to the road.. That blew my mind as a kid..
The 2.2 l and the 2.5 l are both non-interfing engines. You could break a timing belt on those all day long and all you had to do was reline up the marks and they were good to go. I have changed so many head gaskets on 2.2 and 2.5 l. I could do it my sleep. It's actually a super simple job. I love those cars. I still have an 81 Plymouth reliant with a 2.2
My dad had one of the old dodge vans like that, couldn’t remember the year to be honest. But it has the table in it. I loved that old thing.
Old digital guages are awesome until they start to short out. My 04 towncar actually said i was going -1mph the other day while i was stopped. Didn't know it was possible to go negative 1 lol.
Randy that little piece for the white Blazer with the TBI 4.3 is the ignition control module. It mounts onto the distributor. Used to test those when I worked at an auto parts chain store. Mine burned up on my 2.8 S10 and left me stranded one morning.🙁
Any vehicle from the 50s 60s 70s 80s 90s and early 2000s I like awesome video a lot of nostalgia
Yes! I certainly do enjoy your content! Thanks for all your hard (fun?) Work & content. Btw...from the other video. I had a 94 dodge shadow & drove it to 150k with absolutely no issues! I'd buy one right now from you if you got it up and running!
I also had a Chevy camper van! Like that brown one except I had a TV sitting on a shelf built into the roof slot/bunker/sleeper bunk over driver&pass seats
I had a 86 Lancer Pacifica, loved it. Turbo, Limited production of 500 only California. A year later they made a Shelby version much the same except intercooled. Was a hatchback also. Totalled at 140,000 miles.
There was another version of the Shadow that Plymouth made called the Sundance. I remember an elderly woman gave our family a 1990 for free one year!
I had a black Shadow ES stick 2.5 turbo back in the day. Blew a head gasket and the trans. Still loved that car. Girl rear ended me and it was gone.
I had a Shadow exactly like that. Never had a problem with it. Did super in snow. Ckeaned the oil returns and replaced the valve cover gasket and timing belt. Had 127,000 miles when sold. I had it 4 years. Not bad for a 1993.
That van would a great addition to your house lot....!!!!!!!!❤
Awesome looking van Randy! I have great memories of one like that we can't discuss here!😂
Does it involve heavy duty shock absorbers and an 8 track player? Oh, yeah! 👍
Two points slam dunk!😂😂😂😂
I owned a 95 dodge shadow in manual 5 speed red with tan interior and it was so so reliable and only needed front axles it had 250k miles never ever had a single issue with it!
This sounds like a timing belt the way it’s trying to start
This one’s in great shape! And overall nice paint
I hope you win that old van and that dodge shadow. I would watch those videos in a heat beat
I remember the Dodge shadow from my childhood
My grandpa bought it as a barn find and it was my favorite car growing up
Get that van!!!!!
Fix it up and take Jessica and the kids on power tour
Hey Brandy, just wanted to tell you that I got done watching your afternoon video and you do a awesome job on it. I love those Copart walk around and I ate a walk around in those ABC auction walk around and all your other stuff that you do just keep the contact coming for me would you and I know you will so I hope you’re having a good day. Talk to you soon again can’t wait till your next video comes up. Have a good day.
On the Blazer the part is an ignition module. It goes under the distributor cap.
Dodge Omni 024 Shelby . Fast pocket rocket a friend of mine had one . Cool little hatchback 🚗. That car deserves to live bring it to the channel it can’t go for much or cost much to repair.
The GMC was nice and when it comes up for sale buy it.👍
Randy I have 1999 dodge ram van 1500 5.2 now I have 2000 Lincoln town car in awesome shape low mileage
A old 80s Econoline limo van to me that's what interior looks like & few early 90s S10 Blazer & pickups wooow Randy u checking out my kind stuff
I love that freaking Shadow! RANDY, I think you’re talking about the Daytona. It came in the Shelby trim and was a hatch. It was produced in the same years!
My buddy had a 93 dodge shadow same color i had a 93 Plymouth sundance at the same time. We got in a bad car accident in my buddy's shadow. I blew the trans in my Sundance still drove it around for 8 months with no reverse lol
Love that old van .
Loved seeing all these retro cars.
Randy, you need to buy that Shadow! I love when you bring classic cars to the channel and bring them back to life
I really like those older vehicles , especially that van ( in fact I was coming up on my 18th birthday when that van was built )
Hey Randy.......the 2 trucks I have now are an 83 F150 and 95 GMC 3500.....I used to have a 95 F350 and a 97 Z71.....I have a few videos of them on my channel........bring all the old vehicles back to life....😁
My dad had a 1985 Plymouth Horizon and I bought a 92 Plymouth Duster . Great little cars for us
We had the 80’s charger with the turbo and it was JUNK !!
23:50 i can smell the inside of that van. They all had a unique smell. Don't know if it was the chemicals from the carpet or what, but they had a smell.
I weath dive the old school cars and vans over new ones good video keep up the good work
There was actually a Shelby version of the Dodge Shadow too. It was called the CSX. I too share the love for 80s and 90s cars..I think you should try and get that lil Dodge Shadow..would go well with the Sunbird convertible you have
My late father had a 1994 Dodge Sundance. The rear lights were hybrid. On the left there were dodge shadow taillights and on the right were Sundance taillights. I ended up driving it into my neighbors gate and wall at high speed. The airbags saved me and my sisters lives. Solid car.
I think the car that you were thinking of that looked a little like the shadow was the Dodge Avenger. They did make a Carroll Shelby version of that car back in the 90's. They used the Avenger body for the IROC series during that time period.
That a nice old Ford van. Very nice interior. I hope you win it.
the ford van is making a comeback some of these older vehicles you could make a small mark up and flip as is to people that have been looking for years for something to build
Dodge also made the Daytona Shelby Z which is similar to the Charger. Ignition control module mounts below the rotor button if i remember correctly
I have the same Yukon same color looks brand spanking new with 340k on origanal motor and trans with paper work only issue I have is rear end just exploded best truck ever
"Nobody wants these things."....lmao. That van... running/driving in that condition is an easy $5500-$6500 these days. Huge following for vans right now, clean conversion vans like that sell quick.
I like those older Blazers too. 👍
Randy, the Shelby was either a Charger or a Daytona. Chargers were slightly smaller & slightly more boxy. If the rims had golf ball size holes at the outer edge, it was a Charger.
11:50 The only Shelby Dodge I can think of was based on the Dodge Omelette.....err......Omni. BTW, Back in '93, I had a '93 Dodge Shadow ES with the 3.0 ,manual transmission and every other option in the book. Same colors, too, as that one
Hello Randy. The 2017 GMC Yukon XL is a good looking SUV. The GMC Jimmy is a good looking SUV.
A buddy of mine and i used to go to karaoke all over Jersey in a Dodge Shadow. I can't believe thes cars are just memories now. We never see them.
First one I have seen in over 20 years 😮
I had the same exact Dodge shadow es back in 2008. Same color same everything. Had 30k miles on it paid $300 for it. Fun little car to drive. I drove it for a few months then sold it to my neighbor when his daughter first got her license. She drove that thing around for years.
The old school car you were trying to remember is a Dodge Omni GLH...Goes Like Hell. They were 2.2L Turbo cars that flew for the day. Shelby cobranded them with Dodge.
Yes Randy I'm definitely a lot older than you I'm 76 years old and a disabled veteran and I think that van would be very good for your videos it's not that bad looking it'll clean up nicely Charlie kretschmar Phoenix Arizona PS I would love to have that van myself but I'm on a fixed income and can't afford it anymore but I still think it'll be a good one for you to get back on the road Charlie kretschmar Phoenix Arizona
Make sure to save that van that thing is amazing would hate to see it go to scrap have a special love for those vans
I think you should get all of the old ones and redo them they are really good ones and reliable ones that you can make a profit problem
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but the Shelby CSX was a Dodge Shadow kitted out with Shelby styling and performance upgrades. So you may be right that the Shadow looked just like what your parents had, versus the Charger Shelby.
Buy it and rebuild the motor!.. what a cool blast from the past vehicle
I had a 1973 thunderbird with a 429. I loved that car and I had a 1976 montie Carlo
11:00 probably a dodge Omni. They had a Shelby version of that. There was the GLH and GLH S. Stood for "Goes Like Hell", and "Goes Like Hell S'more" (some more). They were hatches.
First class luxury Ford van when cross country traveling was popular.
My parents had an 1986 ford Econoline when i was a kid a lot of road trips in that thing
Dude, I like the Dodge Shadow and the Ford van
Should turn it into one of those Van life campers.
The van would be the best ever power tour vehicle for you and Mike oh man it would be awesome
"This stick extends.."
THATS WHAT SHE SAID!!
Yes, Randy, I enjoy watching.
Id buy that Shadow too. Love older 80’s and 90’s cars. Hope you get that Saturn!!
Hey Randy,
Put in a flat screen tv. Big arm chairs. And a drinks cabbie. In the Ford Party Van.
Nice Ford Van, It Won't Take Much To Get It Started And Save It ! ! !
I Have A 1980 GMC Van
Keep On Vannin
