Oh we so have enjoyed it’s been brilliant ,,,, now you are home we are going on our own road trip in “Stella” our Autostar camper from our home in Brittany ,, heading south in a few weeks …. Thanks guys xx Neil , Liz and Barneyboo the Cockerpoo xxxx
Sad that your journey is over. Never had our van over in France yet, so been watching your videos to get some much needed confidence. I was so fired up and ready to start planning our first trip ...... until I watched this video. It seems so simple to get to France using the Chunnel but so complicated to get back . I suffer slightly from agoraphobia. Could you please go back and film the Chunnel bit again pleeeeeez 🤣🤣
Well it had to end: I knew it!!!! I did say from the beginning of your adventures that it would end up with tears, sad faces and frayed tempers, banging of doors and temper tantrums. Will that was our house! 😢What are we going to do now it’s ended; leaving a void that only “The Slaws” can fill? I know…..watch it agin!!! Happy faces. 😂😂 All smiles now in our house. Great videos as always folks loved the locations, costs and seeing a Yorkshire man squirm what told the price of a drink 🥃 for everything else this is priceless. We loved when Mr S try’s fluently speaking French with a Yorkshire undertone love it. The same as mine with a Mank undertone. Take care folks looking forward to your next adventures 👍👍👍
Thank you both for a lovely trip through France, my Husband and I got our first campervan in November having changed from a caravan. We have stayed at Ganspette many times and spent 3 days there a few years ago. The blockhouse museum is a short walk away and is worth a visit. The Beef carbonnade in the site restaurant is also worth staying an extra night for.
A big cheers to you both for your vlogs, enjoyed every one. The last bit of the drive onto the train seemed a bit complicated, but blame it on covid, like everything else.
Great set of videos, nicely edited and presented, we thoroughly enjoyed your trip. My brother used to go to Port Grimaud annually so it was lovely to see it in all it's glory. We were also in France at the same time but travelling down to the south west to the Gers Department staying in gites. Very useful to compare your covid advice so thank you. Looks like you enjoy your F1 racing so I would recommend visiting Angouleme for the Circuit des Remparts weekend in mid September, it's a great weekend of historic racing, checkout the videos.
This has been a fabulous trip. We have enjoyed every minute of your videos and will miss watching you in France. We will look forward to your next trip wherever that will be. Thank you both and the doggies.
Thank you for such lovely vlogs. Excellent footage and so I formative. I feel sad (and no doubt you do too) that this journey has come to an end. Hopefully not long before you are planning some more getaways. Thanks again you two x
Thank you for sharing your trip it was excellent to watch, you planning and logistics skills are a above and beyond our government, lol I will recommend you to Boris. if you can navigate the French system your god in my book. Oh and Emily &Fin dress has been purchased so they owe you a promo discount. All the best Robert & Carolyn the mad bikers.
Ahh shame its come to an end, we stayed at grand spette on our way to Lake iseo and then on the way back stopped at Camping La Bien Assise near calais, which we thought was slightly better.... ie more going on.
It's been very entertaining and enjoyable following you on your travels very informative you make it look easy Mr slaw is very entertaining with his one liners loved the drone footage I carry mine all the time
Thank you both for sharing your holiday, for me it had a nostalgic feel like the old "wish you were here" program but with a modern twist. Your vlogging technique is like no other on UA-cam , mixed with clever editing and drone footage, i am absolutely sold on your channel, can't wait for the next binge watching vlog xx
Thanks for your kind words Tony! Funnily enough, I have been likened to Judith Chalmers before 🤪 Unfortunately it will be next year before we get another road trip, but we’ll have lots of one-offs until then 👍🏻
An excellent set of videos of your French holiday. I dont know how I came across your channel but I think it is great always very informative and you are both so relaxed and laid back that every video is easy and a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to your next video. Keep up the good work.
so sad its all come to an end,its been lovely travelling with you,not sure L fancy the train it all looked a bit complicated!! but you were calm and Mr Slaw a bit stressed. I look forward to your next trip we are off to Chatsworth tomorrow happy days.
Thanks Margaret! Ooh, Chatsworth! We love it there! It always reminds me of The Secret Garden with the key to the gate 🥰 And after a lovely walk, a pint and a warm up in The Devonshire Arms. Enjoy xx
No fan of the tunnel, much prefer the ferry from Dover to Dunkirk by DFDS, book the premium lounge piece and quite and some shut eye for a good 1hr after shopping and food...Enjoyed your trip into France and home...has a suggestion for your future trips and the places you stay... use What 3 Words...then we can log them in the POI on our Sat Navs...great vid once again.
Ah loved every minute of your vlogs…. Defo think you should turn straight around and keep travelling xx thank you for such a wonder insight into St Tropez :) xx
Glad you made it. Now going to try out that campsite next time we travel back….as long as it’s open but sadly suspect it will be closed but there will be another time.
The last site looked lovely so straight into our search for sites list! The tunnel oh my god, I look forward with trepidation to the inevitable domestic we will have driving round and round that deserted carpark trying to find the train. We miss the French music already 😞We've loved following your trip and of course we got a mention on the TV what a surprise that was !!!! Bravo guys, look forward to the next video and the dog chariot cam 😃

I am so sad you have finished your trip! Welcome Home and thank you so much for helping to relive the boredom of now being alone! I have so much enjoyed you both and your interactions! reminded me so much of my partner and I when the only way to get around was the set of yellow maps!! very few AutoRoute and most of the trips were on Route Nationals, or green roads to those not in the know. So once again a great big THANK YOU TO YOU BOTHE and the dogs and you will be missed so much by me. safe home, with affection, Chris Franklin.
Thank you for your mind words Chris! You’ve been very welcome on our holiday and I’m glad it brought back some happy memories for you. Until next time, Billy and Jessie send lots of furry snuggles and licks x

Looks like you had an absolutely fab holiday. Can't wait to get over there again in our van. All of the vlogs have been really informative and so useful and interesting. What do you think of the 'chunnel' - we prefer it....except for the weird maze of roads they send you around lol 🤗
Wow that site was stunning, and another wow for what seems like you going around the houses finally getting on the train, you certanly have to know where your going, loved all your uploads and filming spot on each time, where are you off to next? xxx
Hi As a new subscriber and a caravanner I found your french trip so enjoyable and very informative especially with the vlogs of the pet reception, as we have booked for France next july. Did you vlog going to the french vet for the tapeworm treatment? And which vet did you use? Tia steve
Thank you! We didn’t vlog going to the vets. We used the vets in Gassin before we left the South. But we’ve used the vets in Deauville before too as well. Never had an issue in France.
That looked like a beautiful site, mainly because it had two Pétanque terrain pistes. I guess sat navs can only get you somewhere near the tunnel complex. Once inside your on your own. It must be a nightmare if you don't speak French. Welcome home. xx
Hope you don't mind me asking but I remember you mentioned new tyres on the front of your motorhome, and you shouldn't get stuck as easy, which make and tyre type did you fit. Thanks Also we enjoy your videos, it nice to see someone from near us making videos, we're from the Emly mast side of huddersfield..
👋🏻 Hi from across the way! Sorry, not sure about the tyres? We haven’t put any on? We have got some mat things that would have been really useful in getting off the beach had we taken them with us 🤦🏻♀️
Hi been following all your adventures we recently watched your journey through France we are planning on going in January covid permitting you mentioned on one of your blogs an app proving vaccination status wondered if you could tell me which one it is and how to find it as our French is really poor cheers and keep the videos coming they are an inspiration , Steve
Thanks for watching Steve! We downloaded the Tous Covid French App. It allows you to upload your NHS covid pass and converts it to a French Covid Pass. We needed it in France to get into bars and restaurants. It worked really well. Hope you have a great time 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing this lovely video! - I'm planning to travel to Spain with my dog via the Euro Tunnel. Where did you guys do the health check for your dogs before entering to UK again? Do you think I can do this in Spain before coming back instead of doing it in France? Many thanks once again xxx
Thanks Maria! We had our AHC completed after the worming tablet was given in Gassin in the South of France. You have to have it done no less than 24 hours and no more than five days before entering the UK.
Thanks for sharing your travels, great videos and really enjoyed the style/format. I can’t seem to find out, What camera does slaw use in the cab ? Thanks Steve
