I know the porsche is a great car, but i miss the zl1 1le so much. just out there in a camaro taking it to super cars
dude, as a fellow spyder owner it is wild to see the car going full out like this, sometimes people forget there is a GT car under the sexy body panels!… I also run the Kline exhaust - nice job!
Fantastic drive buddy. Gets me so excited. Sunny weekend coming up here now. Gonna take the GT3 out and thrash the ass off it. 🇦🇺
Solid! I live in nc, vir is basically my home track, laguna seca is a dream track for sure. Nice driving!
this is where the spyder belongs 🙂
So smooth!!
Crazy rapid
Quick!
Actually it shows the difference between from factory cars and track specific modded cars. 1:32 is as fast as a C7 ZR1 stock. Not to say your driving is anything but stellar. Please elaborate on the new surface and conditions related to times because i would never have believed a 718 can do these types of times.
The repave caused lap times to be slower at first, then with some track days and rubber going down it was about a wash. Now after the historic's and a few other larger events, I'd say it is about 1.0-1.2 seconds faster. The conditions were still very helpful. I was expecting to get a low 34'. I expect it to continue to get faster for another month or two, and would also expect to see the Carrera cup guy's get a lap record with a high 23' since the timing of their event will fall within that window.
Very exhaustive list of mods and no mention of tires? :)
It says right there under 'Other' with the wheels they are on
Jeff. I feel like I am a decent driver until I watch your videos. Haha
nice lap @o@ 😮 !!
Is the factory roll bar safe enough?
The issue I'd see is not running 6-point restraints. Certainly a risk without them, but the car is much safer than convertibles of the past. Porsche did a good job to have the roll bars so high up. Likely safer than most hard top cars, excluding debris coming in the car vertically, which could mostly be solved by running with the top up (which would be faster too). No question a GT4 with a roll bar is safer by quite a bit.
You are a G. I need to sit in with you at thill so I can learn to be fast
😁😁😁
What do you use to prevent wind noise on your recordings?
I will try to make a video this next week on it with all of the settings and how I did the wind screen setup.
Do the rumble strips/curbs have any affect on your braking at the top of the Corkscrew??
The red and white ones certainly do, but the green does not. The trade-off is still a much larger advantage to have a straight line approaching and braking than the impact of the rumble strips. It is brief if you go over the green part.
What are the dimensions of your Forgelines?
19x9 front +50mm, 19x10.5 rear +45mm - Model GS1R.
@@TurninTrackOut Why did you decide to run 235 up front? Never seen someone go down from stock
Hauling ! What would you say is the time delta on average after the repave?
1.2 seconds would be my guess for the Spyder. This was my first track day in it at Laguna, so just an estimate.
