I recently tried a Mexican coffee from a small farm that also grows cocoa by vanilla beans and some sort of flower. Well it was easily the best coffee I’ve ever had!! A lot of these expensive coffees taste a bit too much like tea or too watered down for my taste and lose the smooth coffee taste that I like. This Mexican coffee had a bit of that fruitiness as well but also a traditional coffee taste that was just delicious! I think small farms all over the world might be producing even better coffees than these on the list but don’t have the money to advertise or to enter them into fancy contest, so people who buy from fair trade co ops end up enjoying the little gems.
Had a similar experience on a a farm years ago when I was a kid on a field trip had the best hot maple syrup I’ve ever tasted I was like 7-8 at the time they said “everyone dip two fingers in once and lick them” and I couldn’t believe what I tasted and I still remember the taste to this day and I’m 22 lmao couldn’t tell you the farm name either but somewhere up here in Michigan lmao
@@menghuyliv45 Yeah, if you know just a little bit of marketing psychology, you'll recognize this as a Starbucks commercial ala its "first mention". Most viewers will recall it as on the list, available, and most affordable, but no better OR affordable than ANY small farm coffee.
I have tried many coffees in the US and I have tried many coffee traveling to Central, South America and Africa and all those coffee are really bitter and apparently it is because of the type of coffee they have and specially because of the process of getting the final dry coffee bean. The only coffee that was perfect in flavor, smell, bold, rich and not bitter was the Colombian Coffee and I learned why. Colombian coffee has a very precise process where they use clean water, they pick only the best red coffee beans , and most of the coffee plants are Arabica coffee plans. Really the best coffee.( I am not Colombian. Colombia really specialize in producing the best coffee)
If Ethiopia was not invited coffee you guys can ever known what coffee was. ⛔️The name coffee came from the place called kefa (south east Ethiopia) So when ever u drink coffee just remember Ethiopia!
I will never understand why anyone would pick coffee beans out of poop 💩 and still make coffee and drink it knowing where the beans came from... But no matter what they are drinking 💩
As Indonesian myself, we knew real Kopi Luwak vs Farmed Kopi Luwak, because farmed ones only cost about $2 per-cup or like 10 bucks per pound, it just as cheap as other coffee. True Kopi Luwak came from wild civet cat and it so expensive and it must be certified from Indonesian Standardization Organization, if you see a Kopi Luwak that only cost few cents more than regular coffee, it must be a farmed or fake.
Good advice and very true. This happens with many other rare/expensive coffees. Same thing happens with "Jamaican Blue Mountain" coffee.. Jamaica only produces 5 million pounds per year. 80% of the Jamaican production goes straight to Japan! That leaves only 1 million pounds for the rest of the world. And yet, about 125 million pounds per year are sold throughout the world (outside of Japan) as "Jamaican Blue Mountain" coffee which means that 124 million pounds of the 125 million is counterfeit. To a certain degree it's actually funny because I've seen people purchase and try some counterfeit Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and they thought it was so delicious and the best coffee they had ever had, and in reality they were drinking a cheap counterfeit, low quality bean.
@@JA-rn5qv Yeah that's so true in this world full of fraud and scam. Better buying regular but certified coffee such as Fair Trade and Direct Trade. They tend to produce awesome tasting coffee. Most of the rare coffee sold are scam, especially in my country Indonesia for Kopi Luwak. A certified Q-Grader told me that.
Hello Alux. Most expensive coffee in the world is Elida Geisha Green Tip Natural produced by the Lamastus family in Boquete, Republic of Panama, during The Best of Panama 2018 (July 20) sold at auction at US$ 803 per pound. Thanks for all of your wonderfull videos.
Only discovered how brilliant Coffee is about a year ago and use a French press and grind the beans. Really enjoying the experience. My first experience with Coffee was at Starbucks and that was awful.......Many years later! tried coffee again and enjoyed the experience. Right now having a French Pressed Java medium roast, I ground fine the beans, intense and nutty flavor with no noticeable acidity........coffee is amazing, and nature is amazing. Wonder how people first learned to prepare this amazing gift of nature. Surely I will research how.
Having a cup of coffee means I will be running around like crazy, speak super fast and basically be all over the place. So, I only drink it when I have to stay awake all night long. Or if it is a specialty like the ones here 🙂
The Jamaica Blue Mountains. What picturing view of the Blue Mountains Ridge with those wonderful saddles near the lush green flowering mountains of Catherine's Peak. Wonderful...🇬🇭🇯🇲
@@Danjacytes Blue Mountain Coffee is the best tasting coffee in the world, due to the rarity of the bean and the region that the coffee is grown. The coffee is grown between 2,000 to 5,500 feet above sea level on volcanic soil, with adequate run off for rain water. The cloud cover of the Blue Mountains cannot be duplicated, because it prolonged the ripening period for the coffee to 9 months. So the Blue Mountain coffee is the only one that reach its full maturity, hence its sweet, with fruitie, chocolate, cinnamon aroma. Every other coffee on earth reach its ripening period in three months. So let that sink in...🤔

Price of coffee cannot be the only measure of quality as you are trying to impose. Quality/price ratio is an important factor for my choices. There are not any Ethiopian and African Coffee in your list because they sell for fair prices and have a very high quality/ price ratio. Whoever prefers to pay tenfold bucks for promoted products that are not superior are welcome to spend.
