This video is loaded with bullshit, false information, false pricing. Also it seems like it has been put together with one google search „expensive tea“ Some mistkes are: the gyokuro processing is falsely explained, da hong pao is a tea which is a widely available specialty, many puerh teas are easily more expensive then most teas on the list and the list goes on. But if your channel concept only focusses on showing expensive stuff you found on google, then one shouldnt be surprised i suppose
Actually the Dao Hong Pao they are taking about is kinda true so yes you can get really good quality Dao Hong Pao which is most likely a daughter or a clone of the original Bushes, but not for the bushes unless you pay an arm and a leg but not the prices they claim and yes they like to trick rich Westerners with tea prices, heck they even trick Chinese people with it but if you know tea you are less likely to get tricked :p. Yeah I was cringing when she was mispronouncing gyokuro and misinforming how it's made...
Yes u r right and they was also saying about West Bengal but actually should say India because WB is a state of India and if they don't want to say it so they should also tell the exact location of tea produce in China.
Cheaper longjing I know a local tea shop that sells longjing (probably not the real deal though) for about 7.50 euros per 100 grams. That's actually pretty cheap for a decent tea.
First of all, if i pay 70,000 bucks for a kilo of panda dung tea, It'd better bestow me with the wisdom of confucius and let me talk with pandas. Secondly, if i pay a million for a kilo of da hong pao tea. It'd better give me a chinese accent, eternal youth and the soul gem. I'll have my tea with biscuits governor, chop chop
Tea price has a lot to do with supply and demand. The #1 mentioned on the list, "Da Hong Pao", is actually priceless given that they have stopped harvesting the tea leafs from the original set of 6 or 7 tea plants on the mountain cliffs which dates back thousands of years.
I didnt even know da hong pao was expensive, to be fair, my mom knows a lot of people but the truth is ours is obviously cheaper cause theres a dupe for all of them with the same name and possibly taste.
If you haven’t, you should make one on the most expensive coffee if you haven’t for all of the coffee drinkers. I don’t drink coffee, but it would be interesting.
This video tho is a spit in the face of anyone who loves tea. It is full of mistakes, portrays many things falsely (like gyokuro production) and even got his number one wrong because good specialty da hong pao is easily available for around 200-400$ a kilo
@@dacr0n229 I'm not a teahead myself but the da hong pao this mentioned is likely refered to the ancient tea. I don't know maybe I should consult Don Mei from Mei Leaf.
Here on the Navajo Reservation, we drink delicious organic herbal " NAVAJO TEA", from a Greenthread plant, best picked on Chuska Mountain, located along the border of Arizona and New Mexico, USA, deep in the heart of Navajo Country... or just go to Gallup, New Mexico flea market on a weekend (Saturday), and buy a zip-lock sandwich bag of Navajo Tea for $10....XOXO
Da Hong Pao is no longer allowed to cultivate. So even Xi Jinping can not drink the real Da Hong Pao. However, there are cheaper version of it, like $10 per kilo everywhere because the trees are very similar to the real Da Hong Pao. They taste good enough for most people, there's no need to get that real Da Hong Pao
Lol, 170 dollars for a kilo, that's a normal price for quality tea. I recently bought tea with prices in the ranges between 0.15 to 0.30 cents (in pounds, so a bit more in dollars or euros) per gram. So 150 to 300 per kilo. Ceremonial grade matcha costs about a dollar *per gram* . People would pay much more for wine without lending it a second thought.
a sheng puerh tea from the best ancient tea trees of yunnan provence that has been properly pressed and stored for 30or 40 years will bring big bucks and will also bring a state of euphoria to the drinker.
Tea is the best medicine to our soul, excellent for bad bacteria and viruses 🦠, I loved tea 🍵 can’t live without 🍵. Thank you so much for your lovely information ,so much expensive,I want to try too.💙🦋🍵🍵🍵🍵
Just to show how bad the misinformation is in this vid: Gyokuro: the whole process of making they explained is wrong. It's also nowhere near as expensive as they claim, its around 300$ per kilo not 650$. It's just a good high quality tea, thats all. Not to mention pronouncing it differently every single time. At least google translate it once, its not that hard. The Tie Guan Yin (that they labeled as guanyin) is around 40$ per kilo, not 3000$. Drinking it right as typing this comment, someone really had a wet dream while coming up with that price. Same as gyokuro, legends be legends, its just a good tea. In reality, none of the teas presented in this vid have even a start to prices of aged teas.
10 Most expensive tea's in the world This video is very interesting on how the tea's are grown in different parts of the world. Very interesting how labor intensive tea's are. David m Sanders
another awesome vid! Thank you, Alux. So far my fave is [Tie] Guangyin Tea. The best quality Tie Guanyin has a tinge of sweet taste after the first onset of bitterness. super yummy. Here's to your health :D. Peace & Blessings
In the harder times of Chilean dictatorship combined with economic crisis, many people survived on tea and plain bread. Don't forget that; tea has always been the way in which poor people could receive their friends and treat them lovingly. The rest is pretentiousness.
Is Fortnum&Mason the original minty light blue brand older than the casual Tiffany’s:people who had acquaintances named Tiffany wouldn’t want to purchase or clad on Tiffany’s products and so blame some envious/worthless/abusive adults who ever worked for boarding schools
michelp L2 one of the many things that put me off in this video... but I guess that is to expect from a channel whos mere existence is based on „oh look how expensive that thing is i found on google“
Chinese regularly buy tea several jing (500g) at a time. They definitely buy kilos of the stuff at a sitting. How we but tea is just as weird to them as buying a kilo of tea is to us.
